We had the potato chip appy ( housemaid chips with excellent blue cheese, real thick sliced bacon bits and balsamic glaze); 6 clams on the half shell, excellent short rib pasta, excellent house salad. We were a party of seven, seated in a neatly decorated, enclosed patio with views of the marina, on a Saturday evening. The service was excellent and friendly. The mussels were really good, my mom dug right in and we had to fight her for a taste. The wedge salad was also very good. I had the hot lobster roll, the bun was perfect, crispy toasted outside and soft inside, the sauce on the side was perfect . The fries and freshly made Cole slaw also really good. The soft shell crab was tasty. The seared tuna was excellent! Our friends had the salmon, which they gave a big thumbs up to. Overall, a very good meal. We were lucky to get seats in the glass window enclosed patio. The views were good from both sides of the table. Our server, Bella, was incredibly pleasant and great at her job. If you get her you will have a smooth dining experience! It was easy to choose something from the menu since a lot appealed. You could choose healthy like the amazing brussel sprouts with lemon aioli, one of 4 salads topped with your choice of protein including lobster, or go for smashburgers, homemade potato chips, and the delicious cauliflower "wings". The food at Sunsets has been consistently delicious and appetizing. Great variety of entries and their cocktails are to die for! We go there for many luncheons with groups and dinner parties. Bon G and I finally made it to Sunsets at Senix after friends mentioned they liked it. Well, This venue is kinda off the beaten path...about a mile south on Senix off of Montauk Hwy...you see large boats on mounts for the winter cause during the summer this marina is Busy and so is the restaurant. It was a rainy Tuesday circa 6pm when we meandered in. Place was relatively empty so we snagged a table on the South side where if it was sunny you could catch a fantastic sunset. Anywho...we were welcomed by a vivacious young server named Jacy, who it turns out was a pleasure to deal with. We started with cocktails, mine Bourbon Old Fashioned and Bon a Coconut Margarita....both happy hour prices and delish! Their menu has so many things its hard to choose. But, we chose their Chicken Wings 2 2way and they were Delish...Meaty and Perfecto! We also had a dozen local oysters...sweet and delish also...a good start! We met Barbara, the bartender who helped us decide on our drinks. Very helpful and a delight to work with. By now, we were getting full but we went for two mains; Bon had fish & chips and I found something special on the menu...Pork Belly, Scallops on top of cheese grits was incredible def worth getting again! Well...how bout dessert!! We went with the special; Poached Pears in red wine with marscapone cheese..was the perfect finish to a great meal. This is my new favorite venue in Center Morices. Our first experience @ Sunsets just so happened to be their 3rd anniversary celebration and the place was jumpin'! Drinks were a little hard to come by but they were passing thru with comp shots and beers. My first attempt at getting seated was a little disjointed so I passed. Fortunately the hostess remembered me later and had our seat at the ready outside where we could still hang with friends & hear the band. The US open was in full swing at Shinnecock. Yet were greeted warmly by the owner, Joe and promptly were offered any area in the restaurant ( the bar, the covered porch, or the outside.) I walk with a walker so chose the covered porch. Our server, Amber, couldn't have been more bubbly, friendly and accommodating. Being in our 70's it was refreshing to relate to her. The minute i pulled up with my disabled father, the staff jumped in to help get him settled. It was a beautiful night. Patrick, the bartender outside, who is also a fabulous event planner (by trade) and caregiver for his grandfather is the nicest person ever! The oysters were great, the ribs, amazing and the shrimp tacos were great! All of this is a fabulous experience but what made it the best is the staff. Fantastic!!! We went for Mother's Day and had the prefix menu, what a great choice. For apps we had the Calamari, Tiger Shrimp and Octopus Salad, we all enjoyed everything! The octopus was perfectly cooked, Calamari was shareable and the shrimp was insane! For dinner we had the Pork Chop, Stuffed Flounder and Lobster Thermador, everything was impressive. The lobster was perfectly cooked with a fantastic flavor, the flounder was so filling we couldn't finish it but it was definitely fresh seafood. The Pork Chop was surprising to me. I didn't expect to enjoy the mofungo and beans as much as I did. We finished with both the Lava cake and Apple Pie wonton. I will be thinking about that wonton for days! It took TWO HOURS to receive three appetizers for a table of 8 highlighting the zero sense of urgency this staff shares as a whole. Each item was subpar at best and is incredibly overpriced for their terrible service. My friends and family were also racially profiled further impacting the horrible experience we were left with. We waited over two hours and NEVER were served. The staff apologized but then became aggressive when we approached the servers by the kitchen for the 3rd time asking what was going on with our food. The treatment was beyond unacceptable. A waitress pushed me and then became extremely aggressive with my husband who literally was just trying to figure out what was going on. Subpar service. $32.00 for a piece of bland, roasted chicken with 3 tiny slivers of zucchini underneath. There were about 4-5 small pieces of lobster in the lobster roll with maybe a handful of fries. The mixed drinks, well, no comment. Went there the next day to get the brunch burger and cure this hangover...but instead of curing a hangover, it made me an addict. The double smash brunch burger my wife and I got was phenomenal..soo good we decided to order takeout for dinner....fast forward to next week...today. I ordered "takeout" again! No disrespect to the establishment but I have a newborn and needy Doberman. I ordered the Hot Lobster roll....needless to say it came with a side of fries and coleslaw... I was here with 7 of my friends for a dinner in honor of our high school graduation, and my parents were at a separate table. By hour two, my parents confronted the staff for what felt like the millionth time. upon requesting an update on our food, my parents were asked to step outside for what appeared to be a physical altercation. We were invited to drive out to this venue for a GTG with friends. Ordered a chicken breast, which was very thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. Also ordered a smash burger and fries. The burger was very good and the fries were ok. Prior to eating, we had a couple of cocktails. The outside bar only had 2 bartenders, one of which was working like crazy and the other seemed to disappear and when she was there, was very slow. It took 14 minutes to get 3 drinks (margarita, bottle beer & seltzer with lime). Ambience was ok, although you would never know that there was water there. We will return next time there is a good band there. read more

I'm going to be fair and balanced. This was our third time eating here and fifth overall visit. We came in last night with a table of 4 for dinner and to see the band. The interior is beautiful, spotless and was dressed for St Pat's. The staff was attentive and friendly and the bad was excellent. Dinner choices were the Roasted Chicken, Smash Burger, Sunset Burger and Fish and Chips. Food was delicious and well prepared. If I stopped here we would be at 4 stars but it's time for the other side of the story..... The drinks are very light pours for the prices which make it difficult. Burger prices are also a little high considering the portion but you can understand the economics which are pushing food prices up everywhere but not the alcohol. Profit on wholesale spirts is still significant enough to provide a proper mixed cocktail or a decent whisky pour. Same drink at Buckley's is twice the volume for a lower price. We will try again during summer happy hour considering the beautiful outside bar and desire to help a local business succeed but highly recommend ownership reconsider drink price points and ratios.
