I wasn't in the mood to go home so my brother located a bar called "Sand Bar" up the road from where we were. Destination, good time, or so I thought. When we pulled up there was a large parking space across the street. It was dirt so try remember to avoid puddles when it rains. We came to the front door and it was locked. The waitress, a lovely older woman opened it up for us. Going inside it was a large space. There was no one inside so we went straight to the bar. The place is nice but ordinary, nothing stood out. It's definitely a nice place to goto with a crowd, but nothing you plan to goto if your looking to meet people. I honestly liked the bartender a lot. She was funny and very social, she made me like the place because she was so nice. I will be back on Saturday however, the have karaoke then.

New owner makes people very uncomfortable. Many of us have chosen to spend our money elsewhere.

Sounds like it has not changed much from 1975... except beers were a quarter... pool table was old then and the bowling game was older.

As you enter, you'll noticed that The Bar Area is placed in the center of the room, with tables and chairs surrounding it. They have about 5 beers on tap with plenty of bottled beer, canned beer, and hard liquors in-stock. The Kitchen is located in the rear of the building, but I'm unsure of what they actually sell to eat. They offer an ATM, Arcade Games such as Bowling/Cards/Slots, Dart Board, Multiple TV's at various sizes, Off Track Betting Station, Pool Table, and TouchTunes. Occasionally, they'll have Live Music playing here, and there's even a fireplace. There's separate restrooms for men and women, and smoking is done outside the front. This place has a fun and relaxing atmosphere about it, and is worth checking out.

As far as drinking goes, distilled spirits seem to be a good choice here, as you get a nice healthy pour. Draft beer is one tap, coming from a Budweiser kegerator, but man, I can say, those lines are clean. Linsa Torr's Place is cool. We went here on a Wednesday to check out the "ladies night," which turned out to be a prime example of an ironic misnomer, but I still caught a nice buzz and a dug the vibe. Overall, LTP has an old-timey village feel, but features some anachronistic updates such as plasma, Megatouch Fusion, and an Internet Jukebox, if you like that kind of thing. A nice place to visit.

The vibe was friendly and inclusive, which made for a really enjoyable night. The parking lot is huge, though it still struggled to fit everyone--this place clearly draws a crowd. There were lots of motorcycles, which added to the cool, slightly rugged scene. The bar itself has a large back patio, several rooms inside, and a spacious main bar that wraps around three sides. Seating is plentiful and well laid out. There was a pool table that got a lot of use--make sure to bring quarters if you want to play. We also caught a live band playing that night and they were fantastic, though the volume was a bit overwhelming at times. Still, the energy was great, and the music was a big plus. The bartender, Donna (I think that was her name), was friendly and attentive. I only had a drink, so I'm not sure if they serve food--I'll have to check on that next time. It's also worth noting they offer free Wi-Fi and have several large TVs, which was a nice bonus. My coworkers, who had already been here a few times, all seemed to enjoy themselves again. One thing I always pay attention to is lighting, and Frogzz hit the mark: not too bright, not too dim--just right for a relaxed night out. And yes, true to the name, there's frog-themed decor everywhere--fun, quirky, and definitely part of the charm. All in all, a thumbs up. I'd come back with friends. The overall automosphere seems geared more toward an older crowd. However, it's still chill and easy to enjoy at any age.

Service was prompt, we got our food and drinks mere minutes after placing our order. My two friends got the shrimp salad which they said hit the spot, and I split a steak sandwich with my other friend since we had dinner reservations coming up later that night. I'd definitely come back here for a quick bite especially when the weather is nice. It's an off the beaten path location in I guess what's considered the not so hip part of the Hamptons but whatever, when something's good it's good.

So many boats, lounge chairs, picnic tables, and you can even sit at or in the boats while you enjoy your drink, food, and the views. The service was great. You can take the menu to view and you order at the bar. The young woman taking our order was friendly, made suggestions, and chatted with us while we ordered. On Thursdays, they offer free boat rides which we didn't take but it was really nice that the option was there. It looked nice and calming out on the water and they had life vests for everyone. We saw a few families out on the boat rides and it looked like a cool addition to the evening. We ordered the Hey There, Sailor ( rum punch). It was delicious. Sweet and strong. We shared the crabby fries, which was good. My friends and I agreed that it would have been even better if the crab and the sauce (Or some other binding agent) were more incorporated but the fries were crispy and hot. I ordered the shrimp roll which came with chips which was pretty good and a nice size. I liked the picnic style tables and the overall vibe. It was like sitting in a friend/family members yard on the water and just relaxing with good food and drinks.

It was a rainy Tuesday circa 6pm when we meandered in. Place was relatively empty so we snagged a table on the South side where if it was sunny you could catch a fantastic sunset. Anywho...we were welcomed by a vivacious young server named Jacy, who it turns out was a pleasure to deal with. We started with cocktails, mine Bourbon Old Fashioned and Bon a Coconut Margarita....both happy hour prices and delish! Their menu has so many things its hard to choose. But, we chose their Chicken Wings 2 2way and they were Delish...Meaty and Perfecto! We also had a dozen local oysters...sweet and delish also...a good start! We met Barbara, the bartender who helped us decide on our drinks. Very helpful and a delight to work with. What really impresses me more than any beer writing is probably the last time I was actually blown away by a brewery. Luckily, I can tell you that Moriches Field Brewing Company has taken that honor. I visited with my fiancée and her family just last week with fantastic results. This relatively new brew spot revamped an old plane hanger and turned it into something special. The setup, decor of airplane pics, and logo all give homage to local aerial travel which creates a fun and unique vibe. It felt like a brewery which is perfect, though it didn't have a rowdy or loud feeling (and that was ideal). Some beer havens these days get a little too crowded (LIFB?), but on this midday Sunday time, the place was totally chill. What was also chill were the friendly employees and of course, the beer! One of the staff members behind the bar semi-helped me in going through a few brew choices as I attempted to figure out what I wanted for a flight (three 5oz pours). It was incredibly impressive to see their beer board with room for upwards of 15 beers. They only (I say that word loosely) had 11 on tap, but I mean that's often more than two or three microbreweries put together! Their guest taps of a Macari wine and a cider from the Best of LI award winning Po'Boy Brewery just added to the positives, especially when my mostly-non-beer-drinking soon-to-be in-laws (and wife) ordered that cider for themselves (and loved it!). For me, we'll get back to the beer. Of those 11 choices, I went with More Riches IPA, Festive Trickster (a festbier), and the Creamsicle Cream Ale. Tasting them in the opposite order I listed, Creamsicle was outstanding. It truly had a creamy consistency with wonderful orange and vanilla hints (I got a crowler of this before departing). But honestly I could've gotten a crowler of the other two as well. Festive Trickster had just the right zing of flavor from the yeast while More Riches had the perfect subtle hoppy bite while still finishing smooth. I was so tempted to get another flight of three to try their other potentially sensational suds, but alas, we had other plans on hand that day. All the more reason to return soon! Overall, there's really nothing negative I can say about Moriches Field Brewing Company (well, maybe just a note somewhere on flights and pricing perhaps?). They have a welcoming setup with friendly workers and (most importantly) a packed lineup of delicious beers. I can't wait until my next trip out there to load on the positives pics to this blown away-worthy five star write up.
