The vibe was friendly and inclusive, which made for a really enjoyable night. The parking lot is huge, though it still struggled to fit everyone--this place clearly draws a crowd. There were lots of motorcycles, which added to the cool, slightly rugged scene. The bar itself has a large back patio, several rooms inside, and a spacious main bar that wraps around three sides. Seating is plentiful and well laid out. There was a pool table that got a lot of use--make sure to bring quarters if you want to play. We also caught a live band playing that night and they were fantastic, though the volume was a bit overwhelming at times. Still, the energy was great, and the music was a big plus. The bartender, Donna (I think that was her name), was friendly and attentive. I only had a drink, so I'm not sure if they serve food--I'll have to check on that next time. It's also worth noting they offer free Wi-Fi and have several large TVs, which was a nice bonus. My coworkers, who had already been here a few times, all seemed to enjoy themselves again. One thing I always pay attention to is lighting, and Frogzz hit the mark: not too bright, not too dim--just right for a relaxed night out. And yes, true to the name, there's frog-themed decor everywhere--fun, quirky, and definitely part of the charm. All in all, a thumbs up. I'd come back with friends. The overall automosphere seems geared more toward an older crowd. However, it's still chill and easy to enjoy at any age.

He had to wait over 20 mins for them to "cook more" only for the young server to forget to bring it back the two times we asked her for it. The pretzel app came with beer cheese sauce that had the same texture as sand. It was inedible. The only good app was the boom boom wings. Couple in that terrible start of our experience to our apps coming the same time as our entrees. With my meal coming about 10 minutes before my boyfriends but minutes after the young staff dropped the apps. So we couldn't even enjoy the wings without our entrees being cold. Server was also slow. Idk if it's because they have all young staff and no supervisors or managers but it was bad. Had to ask multiple times for refills on our water when that was my only drink bc I couldn't stomach the refrigerator tasting martini. My food was lackluster and watery (pasta). Terrible waste of a date night and hefty bill.

It was a rainy Tuesday circa 6pm when we meandered in. Place was relatively empty so we snagged a table on the South side where if it was sunny you could catch a fantastic sunset. Anywho...we were welcomed by a vivacious young server named Jacy, who it turns out was a pleasure to deal with. We started with cocktails, mine Bourbon Old Fashioned and Bon a Coconut Margarita....both happy hour prices and delish! Their menu has so many things its hard to choose. But, we chose their Chicken Wings 2 2way and they were Delish...Meaty and Perfecto! We also had a dozen local oysters...sweet and delish also...a good start! We met Barbara, the bartender who helped us decide on our drinks. Very helpful and a delight to work with. By now, we were getting full but we went for two mains; Bon had fish & chips and I found something special on the menu...Pork Belly, Scallops on top of cheese grits was incredible def worth getting again! Well...how bout dessert!! We went with the special; Poached Pears in red wine with marscapone cheese..was the perfect finish to a great meal. This is my new favorite venue in Center Morices. Wow--was I wrong about Applebee's!…read more It's been years (and a few states) since I last visited an Applebee's, and I didn't expect much coming in--especially since my last experience was at a location in California. But this Applebee's in Shirley totally changed my mind. Very nice and clean. First off, the vibe is great, and the bartender Amanda is absolutely on top of her game. I usually don't eat at the bar, but this one is set up so well--it's actually comfortable to dine there. There's even a footrest built into the bar so your feet aren't awkwardly dangling and purse hooks. Small touches are so appreciated! The food came out fast, which is always a win. As someone who's vegetarian and often eats vegan, the menu didn't have a ton of options for me, but I made it work. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes, and got the broccoli and coleslaw. Everything came out in under 20 minutes and it was honestly delicious. No joke. Not overpriced either, and the whole meal was only 600 calories--way better than some of the other heavy options on the menu. Of course, I wish there were more veggie or plant-based choices, but hey, it's Applebee's--I'm just grateful I found something tasty and satisfying. On top of that, they had great big TVs going and this fun, interactive trivia game that we all played together. My coworkers are obsessed with Applebee's--they all have the trivia game app, rave about the buckets of Bacardi, and are die-hard fans of the steak, French fries, and some chocolate brownie-and-ice-cream dessert (still not sure what it is, but they LOVE it). All in all, this Applebee's has totally earned a thumbs up on my list. I won't say no when invited again. Thank you, Amanda!
