So let me tell you about "JW's Pub." This is a Pub that accepts credit cards as payment and shares it's parking lot with neighboring businesses. As you enter, you'll notice that The Bar Area is placed against the wall to the right hand side of the entrance. It has about 10 beers on tap and a limited menu of food to select from, such as chips, Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Chicken Strips, French Fries, Tater Tots, and Onion Rings. They offer an ATM, 3 Arcade Games including Cards and Slots, Dart Board, Multiple TV's, Pool Table, TouchTunes, and they play QuickDraw here. Occasionally they have live music playing, with separate restrooms for men and women. Their unique feature is a wall of photos that you can find at the entrance, next to the dart board. Which is actually a collage of previous visitors and bartenders. This place has a fun and relaxing atmosphere about it, and is worth checking out. This place consumed a good 8 months of my life. but in the best way possible. met my current toxic situationship here and we're still going strong. the rowdy crowd there is basically just the cast of shameless- but nobody's acting. place is just full of frank Gallaghers. if that's your vibe i'd def head on down. andrew's also cool asf. i took home his lighter once as a souvenir. i'd give him 6 stars if i could. i stride to find Jw's in every lifetime. read more

A nightmare. Cockroaches in the restrooms. Poor plumbing, missing ceiling tiles, abrasive and combative crowd. Owner turns a blind eye to the issues and illegal activity involved. Watched my friend get stabbed and thrown into the glass splitting his head open. Owner was not involved in that incident, but only cared about the police presence. Watched people overdose in the back of the bar. No security, no safety for patrons or bartenders. Does not comply with NYS SLA code. read more

j dubs is basically my second home (but with better lighting and stronger drinks). every night I tell myself I'm just stopping in for one drink and every night j dubs laughs in my face. the vibes? immaculate. the staff? they're basically family at this point (the slightly dysfunctional kind, but still). the drinks? strong enough that me and my girls start giving out awards and make everyone our friends by the end of the night lol. 11/10 would recommend--unless you're trying to avoid becoming a "regular," because j dubs will have you hooked quicker than a toxic situationship. read more

I used to come to this bar all the time and loved all the bartenders. As years go by staff begins to change and the new bartender, Marissa on Friday nights is awful. she is so rude. I won't be going back to that bar ever again. She was too busy drinking with her friends to care about taking care of other customers. I don't know if it was because I'm a female and she was more interested in male clientele but it was such an awful experience. I always have a good time when I come to JW's. It's the bar that everyone from my job goes to after a long night. There is a free pool table, beer pong tables (a beer pong tournament for money on Wednesday's), a dart board, and great bar staff. The bathrooms are also kept exceptionally clean, which can be difficult on nights that it gets crowded. The location is in a strip mall, very close to the 5-corners in Ronkonkoma. Also a mile away from Little Vincent's pizzeria (dangerous!). Basically, if you live in the area, the bar is a good stop, if you aren't local, it's not worth a trip. read more

This place is great. I was thrown off at first because it seems like a "local" bar...but I have to say I was really impressed. It's very clean. A great little Place to go just for a calm yet fun night. Heather and Christina are great and all the patrons were very friendly I a "new" person!! I'm sorry. I've given this pub one to many chances! I wish their was an option to rate this establishment half a star at the very least. One of my biggest fears using a public restroom in a local pub is having a group of thugs offer me drugs while I'm utilizing the urinal. Having respectfully declined. I made a dash to the bar where I informed the bar tender Cassie of my experience. She had denied all of which I had mentioned then proceeded to throw myself and my party out. In her drug induced delusional rampage She even threatened to have security remove us, which I could safely assume were the regulars due to none looking like professional bouncers. I will never return to such a establishment, especially one that throws 3 veterans out on memorial day. read more

JWS is a wonderful local bar to hang with friends, listen to your music on the jukebox, play some pool, darts, or beer pong. Amazing owner who has done everything she can to maintain the fun- laid back atmosphere of the place! 65" TVs line the wall and the bartenders are always willing to change the channels to whatever game you want to watch! Beers are cold, bartenders are hott, and the people are friendly. My go to pub! read more

Such a dive bar but very interesting crowd to say the least. Insane Halloween decorations, they should probably save their money and stop buying them haha there were thousands of dollars worth. Bartenders wore Oktoberfest outfits, provided a good laugh. Cheap drinks good service. Definitely a townie bar but I enjoyed myself. Don't have high expectations and you'll have a good time. read more

Nice place to stop in for a beer. Not sure what the negative reviews were about I have never had an issue at this place. Very relatable, other customers are always friendly and I tend to end up playing pool with a few of them. I like all the bartenders, they always remember my name and drink- makes me feel good to be greeted like that when you walk in. 5 stars from me. read more

If your looking for a late night beer , JW's pub is not the place to go! if you don't mind the dirty environment and the illegal activity then feel free to go. At first the service at the bar was okay until I noticed the bar tender Cassie having a little trouble making drinks. I then went to the restroom to relieve myself and I noticed a group of men doing drugs in the only available stall. I minded my own business until I saw Cassie near these men so I began to get sketched out. She was extremely lethargic yet I minded my own business. As I was leaving the bar I noticed Cassie interacting outside with the men from the bathroom. I left before I was in any way mistaken for being involved. Very bad experience at this bar. read more

This place has lower ratings and I'm not sure why. It is a dive bar, so expectations should be low to begin. The staff is really great, I've never had a problem with any of the bartenders. There is a beer pong tournament every Wednesday night which has a good turnout and also a pool table. Free pool and 1.50 mugs on Wednesday is a deal I'm not willing to pass up on. I do feel if you're going to come to this bar, be local. It's not worth more than a 10 minute drive, but that being said I think it's a great dive bar with many TVs and entertainment! 4/5! read more

It was my first time in new York and some friends had recommended this place. When I had first arrived, everything seemed great. The bar tender, Cassie, seemed kind of aloof to her surroundings yet I didnt think anything bad of it at first. A couple of hours later I saw cassie take a bathroom break except when she came back she seemed delusional. She tried telling me that I had been disrespectful and needed to leave the bar. So I made a deal and she allowed me to have one more drink before I was to leave. She couldnt even make it right! I tried complaining to her boss yet the boss ignored me. The last straw was when my lady date went to use the bathroom and found shady drug deals happening IN THE OPEN not even in a stall. I immidiately paid my tab and left. I didnt even wait for cassie to finish making my messed up drink. I will never come back to this establishment. read more
