He said it tasted like they added teriyaki but that isn't what I am looking for when ordering Shepard's pie. It was again heavy with the dark brown sauce in a shallow skillet. Traditional SP is a layer of ground meat with peas in it and often carrots and a thick baked crust of mashed potatoes on top. This was thin and a bit soupy. I didn't care for it and I really like SP. The other three times I have been here the food was good. Maybe it was an off night and the chef was on an umami kick. Who knows. But the service and staff were excellent so if I return I will stick to different food items.
