Love this place! Came by on the bike with the hubby. I pass by here all the time and always wanted to try it out. It's easy to pass by this place because it's small compared to all the farms. You walk in and order straight away. The bartender was awesome. We told her it was our first time there and she recommended some drinks and flights. She was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and definitely made our experience a great one. Outside, there is ample seating and games. Jenga, cornhole and hacky sack. We had a couple drinks each. Here's what we ordered: - the o'oldtymer - apple pie moonshine with caramel sauce served over ice - yellow jacket sting - honey moonshine with ginger ale served over ice, garnished with a lemon - (off menu) maple pecan with chocolate, evaporated milk and coconut cream (this one was my fave!) We ended up buying a bottle of the maple pecan moonshine. Love, love, LOVE this place!

Great little distillery in long island! Friendly and the whiskey is very good! Must stop on your way to the ferry!

We first tried this at a festival and instantly loved the high quality flavors, grabbed two bottles and decided we would go out to get more when they were done. Today was that day. We first ordered a flight of three different varieties each. Since there were three of us we got to sample nine varieties. We purchased several bottles and highly recommend this place. The only thing I would add would be snacks with the flights. Maybe they are working on that for the future. We definitely recommend this place for the quality of the goods they are selling.

Happened to pass Twin Stills Moonshine on our way home from Greenport and had to stop in. How can you not when it stands out among all of the wineries? We noticed that there was plenty of outdoor space for warmer weather and were pleasantly surprised by the bright, clean interior of the tasting room. Everyone was super friendly as we sat down at the bar and took care to explain to us about the moonshine, how they serve it (in little clay cups from Portugal) and give us a drink card to use at home to make drinks from the various moonshines. We then talked to who we found out was the owner and when I asked how long they had been open he said 1 day! They had their grand opening the day before and had experienced their first slow period since that party. All of the moonshine is made by them and the business is a family affair. We did a flight of moonshine - you get to pick from their menu the flavors you want to taste and each one was better than the other. We wound up going home with a bottle of the Strawberry and a bottle of the Apple Pie. I only see good things for Twin Stills since they not only serve their own moonshine as tastings and in mixed drinks but they also have local craft beer on tap. SMART MOVE. Good luck to them and can't wait to go back!

Four of us came upon this place when it first started and we couldn't get enough of it. We came back again to be amazed of all of the new selections and mixed drinks they made. We were welcomed so warmly and felt like we were family. We will always come back here. Please keep us informed if you do any town tastings. We would love to go.

The sign greets us!

Riverhead is a great place to spend the day sampling local brews, grabbing a bite for lunch, and now you can grab a beautifully made cocktail in the middle of all that. We stopped in to check the place out last weekend since we were next door at North Fork Brewing. We were seated at the bar which was all open to their outdoor seating. Patrons were spaced a part appropriately and all employees had their masks on. They had a list of cocktails, samplings, and small bites. We ended up trying a couple different cocktails, none of which disappointed, and a flat bread that really hit the spot. Drinks were made fresh and will set you back around $12. Warning: you'll want to try more than one! The Blue 71st was one of the best and most interesting gin & tonics I've ever had. The vibe here was so relaxing and the bartenders were so helpful and pleasant. I've already told so many people about this place, I honestly cannot wait to come back and try more from them!

We were the only ones here right around closing time on a Sunday, but were welcomed in anyway and didn't feel like we were keeping anyone which is always nice. The distillery has plenty of cocktail options to choose from made from their signature liquors. The mango mojito here was refreshing and delicious, with just the right amount of mango puree. After spending the weekend getting soaked by drink prices in the Hamptons I was also happy to discover that prices here were incredibly reasonable. A standard mixed drink is $10, cocktails are around $14. Food here is the same as next door as the two share a parking lot with rotating food trucks -- our bartender let us know that in addition to the Greek food truck they also sometimes have a pizza truck that's apparently super good. Will have to come back!

Watercure is a locally owned distillery that uses locally harvested ingredients to craft small batches of vodka, rum, whiskey, gin, bourbon, and brandy. Their website lists 20 different spirts, so they get pretty creative in the distillery. Everything is made on site, and when I asked to take a look at the sparkling silver tanks where the magic happens, our host happily obliged. They sell Apple Spice Flavored Rum, Vodka Flavored with Cucumber and Mint, Vodka Flavored with Strawberry and Rhubarb, Corn Vodka, Apple Vodka, Wheat Vodka, Shiitake Mushroom Flavored Vodka, Connecticut Corn Whisky, Barreled Aged- CT Corn Whisky, Connecticut Wheat Bourbon Whisky, Barreled Aged Gin, Gin, Rum, Brandy, McIntosh Apple Brandy, 1686 American Bourbon Whisky, Wolf Den Rye Whisky, 1701 Single Malt Whisky, Connecticut Bourbon Whisky, and Connecticut Barley Bourbon Whisky. Pretty impressive, eh? You can get a flight of four samples, or a mixed drink at their bar while you enjoy the super chill atmosphere in an old barn. We had a $14.99 flight of Cucumber and Mint Flavored Vodka, Apple Vodka, Apple Rum, and Strawberry Rhubarb Vodka (which we loved and was clearly our favored sample). As for my bourbon loving buddy, we picked up a 200 ml bottle of CT Wheat Bourbon ($59.99), and when we mentioned it was destined to be a birthday present, our host lovingly wrapped it in plastic and tied it with a pretty white bow! We had a wonderful experience out here in Pomfret Center, CT, and I bet you will too.

It was only about an hour or so away from our house, so this was a real treat. Even though it was a cloudy day in March, the distillery was so beautiful. We can only imagine how gorgeous it is in the summer. We ended up having a private tour since no one else had signed up for the 11am time slot - fine by us! Our tour guide, Bob, was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining everything in great detail. After the tour, we had our tasting. The tour and tasting we chose was The Hillrock Distillery Tour & Barrel Proof Tasting with Cheese & Charcuterie Plate - worth every penny! The bourbons were all absolutely amazing and the charcuterie plates paired perfectly with them. We ended up buying our two favorite bourbons, along with a pair of glasses and a hat for my husband. He was smiling for the rest of the day.
