I have been going to Ann Delasanti for over 10 years. During that time, I have "cheated" on her a few times - and went to someone else. I was never happy with the results from someone else. Ann is so easy to be with - and you have to like the person you are going to spend quite a bit of time with. Ann has a ton of experience and you can tell she really enjoys her job. The prices are good and she won't try to gouge you. I really like the salon as well, they have the best products and the front desk staff is always friendly. read more

I changed salons when I moved into this part of town and have been very happy with Salon Surreal. Kylee is super down to earth and is very patient with me as someone who had never colored my hair before. She also does exactly what I want and I feel like a million bucks when I leave. She is very flexible with scheduling an always runs on time. read more

Hiedi is my stylist of choice at Salon Surreal. I've been a client for a LONG time ... let's see... 7 years. That's a long time in the hair salon years! What keeps me coming back are the compliments I frequently get on my hair color. People are always asking me what I've done different. I really have no idea what exactly changes from one visit to the next. But I trust Hiedi every time. She puts me at ease and always knows how to change the color slightly to keep up with the season or my mood. She's fun to chat with, does her best to stay on schedule and always have great assistants to keep things moving. read more

Avoid this place! Had gone in for hair color service for the first time (and my last). Should have been a fairly straightforward process. Instead was a mess. Once the color was applied, during the setting time the color was leaking down my neck and face. It went through the cape and hit my clothes and my hands / arms. She didn't seem too concerned about correcting the situation. Furthermore my hair was not even styled properly! I could have done a better job!! Coloring is still coming off on my fingers even now. Never had this happen before. Avoid this place. read more

Got a Brazilian wax by Autumn, she was very kind and friendly and made me feel at ease. She was quick but missed several areas of hair that I now have to touch up myself. I hate it when that happens! I recommend that she ask her clients if they are pleased with the results of her service before she leaves the room and tells them to get dressed. I still tipped her well but am bummed with the results. read more

Hiedi is the best! I have been going to her for years. She does a great job on color and cut. I was out of town and someone asked to take a picture of my hair it looked so good. Thanks Hiedi! read more

I've been going to Ann D. since moving to Phoenix over a year or so ago from Colorado. I was told about her from a client of my previous stylist in Colorado! I have always been completely happy with my hair-everytime I've seen her, and am so glad to have found someone with experience and such a fun personality to boot! I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know that is looking! HER!! :) read more

I am from Colorado, so I don't know anything about Phoenix hair salons. I searched yelp for a place with great reviews. I had to say I was a little afraid that all the reviews were just overstating how great Salon Surreal is. I called and got an appointment the same day, on a MONDAY, which was amazing that they were open. I love what Ryan did with my hair. He is amazing with color and the style of cut is great. He cut very little and gave me an amazing hair cut. If I'm every back in Phoenix and need my hair done, Ryan is the man I will go to for sure! read more

I came in wanting to go from red to blonde but didn't get what I was looking for (partially because I did not understand the 'going blonde' process). I called the salon the next day and told them I wasn't happy and they instantly accommodated to getting me in as soon as possible and promised I'd leave happy. They truly kept their promise! I'd really like to thank Karli, who is extremely talented, and gave me a beautiful beautiful ashy blonde shade. I definitely recommend Salon Surreal as they are very caring of their customer's happiness and stick to their word. read more

I love this place, but my stylist Ty Taylor is the reason I come back over and over. He really gets how to provide a great hair style and scalp massage thats the best I have ever had. read more

Recently moved from a different state to AZ and was initially nervous to get started with a new stylist, but I got an appointment with Bella. She listened to what I wanted to do, asked if I had any pics to give her more of an idea. Bella did a great job! My hair turned out perfectly and accordingly to my vision and she did not try to up sell me any extra services. I got my gray hairs covered and balayage toned down for more of a "winter" look. I got tons of compliments in the hours and days following. Def will go to Bella again and would highly recommend her! read more

I have been getting my haircut here for 6 years and cannot imagine going anywhere else! We moved an hour away 4 years ago and I have continued to go back to Ann Gentle for the quality cut and the incredible service. read more

I've been going to Hiedi for 15+ years. She's absolutely the VERY BEST & never steers me wrong. I recently had a "Botox" treatment for my hair & all I can say is the results are beyond fantastic! Don't let the name fool you. There is no Botox actually in the treatment. There are no harsh chemicals to worry about either. I told Hiedi she should be calling it HAIR CRACK because it's so addictive & amazing. LOL So if you're looking to revitalize your hair & leave bad hair days behind, give Hiedi a call today. You won't be disappointed. read more

I am devoted to Hiedi Hand (a.k.a. Hot Hiedi). She's been cutting my hair for several months, ever since my previous stylist moved to D.C. She's so hilarious and outgoing--she tells it like it is. Plus she does a great job on the cut and is always sure I like it. If I'm iffy about the bangs, she'll redo them. She doesn't push me to buy the styling products at the salon. In short, love Hiedi. read more

they did a fantastic job on my bodywave. I love it-still looking great months later.

Hiedi is so awesome that after I get my hair done, I won't have a bad hair day for at least 5 weeks. Now that's a great stylist!

Hiedi is awesome! The best with color ever! Clean work station and fun environment. Hiedi has the best personality and always comes up with great ideas based on her clients personality and style. read more

I've been on the hunt for a new brow person since moving here. I finally found her at Salon Surreal. Ginger Lee is amazing. She's one of the nicest most interesting gals I've met out here. She really took the time to discuss the aesthetic I wanted, and she accomplished this perfectly. Prices for waxing and eyelash tinting with Ginger are really affordable and she does a wonderful job and has the best most positive attitude. Because of my great experience with Ginger, I'm tempted to try out some of the stylists for hair as well. The salon seems clean and has a good vibe. Definitely busting with lots of energy. I recommend Ginger for anyone looking for a professional, talented aesthetician! read more

Ty Taylor is a God. Plain and simple. He has done everything imaginable to my hair over the past decade I've been going to him. Not only am I happy with his work, I get constant complements. Extensions, updoes, blowouts, color...the man is a true artist. And if you're ever unhappy, he will fix it for you. I am in a line of work where my hair style matters, and Ty was patient, kind and understanding when I had to change my look multiple times in a matter of a month. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. He's simply the best. read more

Thanks Yelpers for recommending this place. I've used Yelp reviews for ever, but this is my first time reviewing. I had my hair done on Saturday at a different salon. Lets just say that I have never hated my hair so much after that. I wanted a nice caramel color, with lots of depths and highlights. Well what I got was a dark mocha with weird almost white highlights. After doing some research, I found Salon Surreal. At first it sacred me that even though they had many great reviews, most of them were a year old at least. I called on Sunday, and I got an appointment for Monday morning. The salon itself is located for in a little strip mall. My appointment was with Bree. Let me tell you what a goddess this woman is!!!!! She is very nice and approachable. I'm so glad my appointment was with her. She not only got my hair as close to the color that I wanted, she did it without damaging it and in less than 2 hours. Bree took the time to understand what I was going for and explained what she was doing throughout the whole process, she even fix my haircut as the other place had butchered it. My hair is now a nice dark caramel, with an ombre fade into a light caramel color. She even warned me that she was worried my roots would come in darker and that I might not like the color transition. If that happened she recommended that I set up an appointment for a toner. The best part, the price was very reasonable I will definitely be coming back, Bree will be my to go girl from now on. read more

Courtney is absolutely fabulous she knows exactly what my hair needs even before I do. Well worth the drive from North Peoria! Great staff and refreshments await the next customer! read more

Amanda was great! So thorough, she talked me through every process she was doing to my hair and made me feel really safe! The color came out perfect and loved the head massage during wash. I've been to a lot of salons and this was hands down one of the best experiences I have had. Definitely recommend her :) read more

First time here. Loved Nikki! They were able to fit me in on short notice for a haircut. The ambiance is cool. Nikki was great! She took the time to listen to me about what I wanted and offered suggestions. I could have dozed off during the shampoo and scalp massage! She was attentive to detail and fun to chat with without making me feel like I had to talk to her endlessly. My hair looks fabulous. Will definitely be going back! Haircut was $55 so fairly comparable to other similar salons in the area. read more

Kylee is fantastic!! I've been to her twice now and have been very happy each time! I have super curly hair and always struggle finding a stylist who understands what I want and how unruly my curls can be. Kylee is the first person I haven't been nervous to go to in years!! And, she gives an amazing scalp massage when she shampoos! Love, love her!! Highly recommend! read more

I am unhappy with the haircut I received especially for the price. My first visit will be my last to this salon.

I used to frequent Salon Surreal to do my hair before I moved to California. If you need to get your base color and/or highlights done, the one person you must absolutely request for an appointment is Shari Davis. She is truly a genius with color and someone with her techncial capability cannot simply be found anywhere else. After moving to California, I've been to multiple salons to try to find someone who can color my hair and "get the red out" but alas, I have stumbled on some failures. I have since dyed my hair a dark brown because frankly, there is no Shari Davis that I can find and I've given up. If I could afford to fly to Phoenix to get my hair done by Shari at Salon Surreal, I would in a heartbeat. read more

I have been going to Salon Surreal for over 10 years, Keiko is one of the the best hair stylist around! Who can say that their hair stylist has a degree in Architecture? I can! Really, she design housed and building before she found her passion in hair. She does amazing work and it shows, she always make sure everything is symmetrical and that everything was place at the precise angle. Go see her! read more

Love this place! I see Amanda and she always does an amazing job not to mention gives the best massages while shampooing. I am in the process of growing my hair out and get so many compliments on the cut. She does a great job recommending products to keep my hair healthy and reverse some of the damage I have done from constant blow drying. The salon carries tons of great products and offers spa services as well. read more

I wasn't going to leave a review, but I am so frustrated and so disappointed! After reading all of these reviews I am beyond let down by my experience and my hair- I hate it! I am new to this area and relied upon Yelp and the reviews to get my hair done. My first mistake. I went into Salon Surreal and spoke with the receptionists and setup a consultation for my hair; they assured me that the stylist was perfect to achieve what I wanted. I went in talked with her and she seemed like she knew what she was doing and was eager to do my hair. That Saturday I went in for my appointment and my hair color turned out awful! She apologized and said I could come in on Thursday and she would fix it at no charge but it probably was because my hair was damaged. If my hair was so damaged, why would you try to do it? Besides my hair isn't that damaged! I was on my way to my appointment Thursday and received a call that she needed to reschedule because she was behind due to a color fix...I finally got my hair somewhat of what I wanted and 1 week later it has washed out! To add insult to injury, my haircut is horrible! The worst $170 I have ever spent! read more

Amanda is an amazing colorist! I had raven colored hair for many years. I needed a change. I am under so much stress with my career, it was falling out and turning gray. With her expertise I now have a beautiful blonde ombre. I seriously went from thinning blackish-gray hair, to soft, yet thick honey blonde hair. She definitely is a color mastermind! read more

Went to Salon Surreal for a cut and partial highlight-- it was my first time-- and i was actually very happy. I saw Nicole and thought she was awesome. Loved my cut and color. Not to mention, I got 25% off as a Yelper/first time customer! Definitely a solid place. read more

Salon Surreal is amazing. They offer a trendy environment with courteous staff and incredibly talented stylists. Salon Surreal is such a relief from the normal Scottsdale salon. Even though its a great environment, it isn't snotty or catty. Rather, it is welcoming! What a change! I've been going to Hiedi Hand for the past ten years and she is absolutely amazing. I fly back to Phoenix to have her do my hair because she is just that good. Many hair stylists struggle with my color because I don't take well to lighter colors and cut because my hair is naturally wavy, thick, and yet fine. Hiedi does a great job and always makes me look great! read more

I've been using Salon Surreal for over a year now and am very happy with them. I love Nicole R and have never been disappointed. I have long hair and am always afraid stylists will cut too much off but she listens to exactly what I want and always follows through. The price is pretty good compared to other locations in the Valley and they always seem to be busy. Definitely give it a shot- I don't plan on changing any time soon! read more

I have been going to Salon Surreal for almost 10 years. Ann Dellisanti is the best of the best. I have recommended many friends to her over they years and they always go back too. read more

My review is about Lisa Stevens who works as the Professional Makeup Artist at Salon Surreal. Lisa in the past has done mine and my daughters make up for special events and does and amazing job. Most recently I had decided to have permanent eyebrows done. I have an auto immune disease and lost my eyebrows several years ago. Not only did I lose my eyebrows, I lost my self esteem!! After the professionalism and great work Lisa provided in the past I knew she was the one for the job! She did an absolutely incredible job. I have gotten such good feedback from family, friends and co-workers. They look natural, stylish and so professional. I could not have asked for better results anywhere else! Thank you Lisa!! I have my self esteem back!! read more
