I had Donna and all I needed was just a simple cleanup. I have been wanting to lower my under cut on the sides of my head so the under cut starts right above my ear. All she had to do was a simple fade and clean up, with the under cut staying at a 1 and so I could start growing the top part out so it would be as long as the rest of my hair. when Donna started she had told me that she was going to fade it where I wanted. She spent probably 15-20 minutes on the undercut and in the process she almost cut my neck with the razor. then when we finally moved on we went to wash my hair, she kept getting water in my ears and face and kept sticking the towel with her finger in my ear which was really uncomfortable and didnt help get the water out and kept wiping my face roughly and she almost poked my eye with her finger nail. And the hair cut itself is awful. Above my ears is what I wanted but everything behind my ears was all just shaved down to a one with 1 spot that looks like she tried to fade it then gave up and cut The fade off. This salon is amazing! I hadn't gotten my hair done in over a year so it needed lots of love and SYS exceeded all expectations! Firstly they are so flexible with scheduling, I have a toddler so I had to move my appointment a couple of times to have someone watch her, and they were so helpful and understanding each time! Then the actual service could not have gone better! I sat down with Klaudia and showed her a photo of the look I was trying to achieve and she was so helpful! So knowledgeable on the type of hair I had and how that would translate to my inspo pictures! I did a lot, I was there for 4 hours but she was so meticulous with everything and you could tell she took great care in trying to give you the perfect hair! And let me tell you she did!! Beware of this salon. I have seen 2 of their master stylists. The first one I went to messed up my hair color 3 times. After that I switched to another "master stylist" for color correction. Everything was fine until I asked for a change to my color. She refused to do what I was asking. I even had pictures showing exactly what I wanted. The first time my hair turned out nothing like the picture. I spent hours there for nothing. If you are ok with doing the same thing to your hair every time, this may be the place for you. But if you like to change things up, even on a minor level, they will mess your hair up every time. I met with her prior for a quick consultation to share my inspiration, and to let her know that my hair isn't the most virgin hair when it comes to color. She told me 5 hours and when I told her I might have to move around a bit due to my recent hospitalization for blood clots, she was SUPER accommodating and checked on me a lot. I always felt comfortable in their space. We bleached the bottom layers of my hair and darkened the top, so sorta like the inspiration photo (second one) but I wanted something a bit more natural that didn't look super obvious (mainly for my job, I'd love to go crazy with my hair if I could) I've gotten so many compliments and I love it so much! Seems there was a miscommunication between the stylist Ashley and the person that scheduled me. I showed up to my appointment and she tried to schedule me with someone else on a different day, stating she, herself, could not do it. I am leaving on a trip, and wanted my hair done before I left. After having a lengthy conversation with the scheduler on what was going on with my hair and what I needed- I was feeling little faith the person she was going to schedule me with was going to get it done. Considering I was told she could take care of me. I appreciate her being honest and stating she could not, but felt like my time wasted. I will give a couple stars for the friendly scheduling person who was super helpful to me. He was extremely kind and offered many suggestions on getting a colored conditioner out of my hair. If you are a woman of color I do not recommend coming here. My stylist was very passive aggressive constantly complaining about the length and texture of my hair. I wanted to go blonde but I felt pressured to choose a darker shade. She also complained how hard it was to do my hair because it's naturally black. Yes I do understand color theory, but my result was a brassy orange color that I did not want initially. Thankfully Stephanie fixed my hair which did not turn out bad in the end, and yes I was appreciative that they were able to do this for me. She brought up a Dorene who I have no idea who that is- and not who I saw. Then states the different level of hairstylists they have for different budgets. If that's the case, let your scheduler know top share that. Regardless, the cost is way too high for all over color and cut when half the time, I literally sat there doing nothing. Good job lady. Jennifer (she's been great before) but she said she had to fill it- so she put in red... the. The red wouldn't come out so she put actual green hair color in my hair- then she said it looked great... this was 4 hours of her work and i was so tired I paid and left and I came home to this!!! This is an hour after I left the salon today and I am in tears!! I called the salon and the guy who answered said she didn't know how to fix it and that she was booked up for 2 months straight!!!!! What kind of salon does that??? My husband heard the entire conversation and just held me.. they said they would refund me but I have green and red and black hair and it's going to cost 3x the amount I am supposed to be refunded to fix this... how can anyone be so unethical!!!!!
