I have had the absolute worst experiences at this hair salon... I've been going there for years on and off... I live like five minutes down the street, so it's very convenient for me, but not convenient when I have to go back a second time every single time lately in order for the stylist to get the look right. I work in the medical field, so obviously, I know nothing about hair! They ended up charging me $510 the past four weeks to get my 14 year old daughter's hair done correctly when they should've charged me 250 or $300 to get it right the first time! She sat in that chair for three something hours and then had to come back and sit in the chair for another three something hours, which was a total and complete pain in the ass for both her and I! I also had a horrible experience with that place recently... My stylist is the sweetest person ever, but she doesn't have a clue what she's doing! My hair looks like fucking shit, I had to bust my way through two managers only to be told to leave because "I was never going to be happy". . My hair looks like shit right now, so now I need to go somewhere else and pay another $3-$500 to get it fixed. I will never be taking my business to Roway Hair ever again! One time when I left that place about three years ago, I left there looking like Tony the Tiger!! Literally had strips of white hair, strips of black hair and orange hair! The stylist completely fucked my hair up, so the manager ended up having to correct it for free a week or two later. Done with this place! Stumbled onto this place last min on Yelp and a bit nervous as I was at a getaway quick trip. Acacia was my stylist and she was extremely thoughtful looking at different swatches for the best colors to highlight on me as I am limited with dark hair. Not only was she so sweet and professional, she nailed the color! Within 2 hours, I walked out looking different! She did a dark tone with pretty red/ brown highlights. First time here. Was encouraged by the reviews. My 17yo daughter went in with long brown layered hair looking for a shoulder brushing pixie cut. We paid $70 for what can only be considered as a circa 1970s BOWL cut - one week before school starts. Stylist (Jayden) clearly took on a task above her skill level and literally butchered my daughter's hair. Just total incompetence. I'm livid. She's distraught. Now I've made an appointment for an extension consultation so she doesn't have to feel embarrassed going to school. Just ugh. If I could give our experience ZERO stars I would. Update: TY Christy for reaching out. Outside of growing out ~6 months, the haircut is unrecoverable. Only time for the hair to grow at this point. If you saw her before and after you would see for yourself. My stylist fit us in today and attempted a correction (blending the chopped layers and mullet look) but even she said she could not discern the "map" Jayden was using. It was just a BAD, poorly executed cut. The cut is easily 3 inches SHORTER than the photo and bears NO resemblance to the style requested. We now must go down the very expensive path of Remy extensions for at least 6 months. So please just refund my $70 and coach this stylist (who quite frankly and very obviously avoided both of us at check out) about having the humility to admit when she F'd up. We all make mistakes , but her lack of compassion was appalling. Acknowledgment of the poor outcome to my daughter, who barely held in her tears while I was paying, would have gone a long way. read more

I should have got myself out of the chair when the stylist had to ask another stylist to come over and show her how to cut my hair. This went on throughout the cut. I take responsibility if I did not explain what I wanted very well, but I did show pictures and if for any reason the styles in the pictures couldn't be done, I expect the stylist to tell me - they are the experts, and I pay for their expertise. I finally just told the stylist to stop, and I got myself out of there because I was worried that the more she cut, the worse it would get. I haven't cried coming out of a salon in a long time, but this nearly did it for me. The staff was very nice and very friendly and offered to have me come back if I wanted a do-over, but at that point after 2 different people cut into my hair, I couldn't take the chance. Cutting short hair is very different than long hair and a stylist needs to state up front if they aren't comfortable handling pixie cuts. $65 down the drain. read more

I called multiple different salons trying to get in day of and Rowdy Hair was the only one that had immediate availability. I got right in with a lovely young stylist named Erin. She is friendly, warm and understood exactly what I wanted! I was so happy with the results and have since been back again for highlights and a trim! She said she already heard Megans side of the story and they have Decided since I'm not willing to let Megan fix my hair that they will not give me a refund. Found Rowdy about 2 years ago after a HORRIBLE cut from AZ Hair Co, and needed someone to fix it. I saw Lillian tha thg day, and she was a doll. Fixed ny hair and was actually able to make it look great without having to make it super short. Fast forward to last weekend, I decided on a whim that I wanted a change. My last hair cut had been from 2 years prior, so it was about time, and also my birthday weekend, so I felt the urge to mix it up. Decided to walk in and see if there was an opening. Surprisingly, there was! I got seated with Tarin about 5 minutes after walking in, and she was as sweet as can be! I showed her a picture of a hair cut I had about 5ish years ago that I loved, and wanted something similar to it again, and left her to do what she felt necessary. I LOVE my new hair cut! (dark brown hair w yellow strips all the way up to the root, just horrible). I recently had my hair cut and styled here by Lillian and she did a great job! I love my new look and love that she kept what was important to me in mind - the length. The color turned out great and I appreciate that she didn't charge me for a full balayage when she did a partial and was honest about not needing the full yet. Being honest and not charging your customers unnecessarily is the first step to creating loyalty. Lillian gave me some great tips and we connected well. I would caution that talking negatively about my previous stylist and how she did my hair (who I had been seeing for 5 years) is tip toeing a line. My previous stylist moved away which is why I'm on the hunt for a new stylist. I made another appointment and look forward to it! The 4 stars is really due to the actual salon itself - the chairs by the heaters are extremely uncomfortable and the other stylist don't seem super friendly with each other, you can tell they're not a team. If I had to guess the stylists here most likely rent their chairs so it's a little more of an every person for themselves situation. Stay tuned - next appointment is in February so I will be sure to update! Oh, I know that seems like a long time in between cuts but my hair grows really fast and stays healthy for fairly long periods of time. Lauren knows hair! I have been going to Lauren for a while now and she is the hair guru. I love that she is all about the natural look. She is so knowledgeable and really takes her time. She was able to blend my bangs and make my hair make sense in such a weird grow out stage. She has been working to soften the black back to a more natural chocolate brown.
