I was able to get an appointment easily, and the staff all seemed really friendly. I was given a goodie bag upon entering with samples of a few products, which was super sweet! I can't remember the name of the gal who cut my hair - but she was very friendly and talkative, attentive, made me feel comfortable right away. I removed a star because the haircut was mediocre for the price, and she didn't ask how I wanted it styled, just blow dried it with a roll brush. It looked okay but I didn't feel that post-salon glow I'm used to getting elsewhere and felt I could have styled it better myself. read more

Allison is such a gem! I've seen her for multiple hair cuts, high lights and most recently she helped me go back to all dark color. She is a kind person and easy to chat with. Honestly, I dropped in here because it popped up on YELP when I was in the neighborhood. And my hair can get pretty rowdy... So I set an online appt a few days in advance but did not get a confirmation, so I called to confirm and did not get a response. I headed out to the appointment anyway only to find out the appointment was Not Approved. Luckily there was an opening I could fill and was able to get color and a quick smple cut. For selfish reasons I was hesitant to write this review because I want Brittany all to myself, lol! But truly the girl is a damn hair magician! My hair is extremely blonde and has been for years and Britt has managed to keep it looking sooo good and healthy. When I had first gotten my hair done it was a big change and I totally freaked! It was super blonde and different then I expected but after a few days it blended perfectly. I am SO happy I was getting lunch near here last week because Megan McCoy literally saved my life! I am a "virgin" to getting my hair dyed (and even cut) because it never turns out how I imagine. A week ago I flew in from NJ and got my hair done by who my mom goes to. I won't say names because I respect him, but my hair was HORRIBLE! I showed him a picture of a bronde balayage and left with orange ends, a line through my hair and an uneven hair cut. My mom never had any problems so I went off her recommendation. All last week I kept trying to style it differently and kept asking my family if it looked orange. I NEEDED to get it fixed but didn't know where to go. On Saturday my family and I went to lunch right near Rowdy Hair and I decided to pop in. The receptionist was SO sweet and welcoming and fit in a consultation so quickly on what I expect to be their busiest day of the week. Megan finished up with a client and was available to see me (I'm so happy she was!). I showed her the picture I was going for as she looked at what I had. She walked me through everything she'd be able to do to work it out for me. The catch was I was leaving in four days and was looking to get it done before heading back to NJ. She (again) was able to accommodate me and fit me into her schedule today (Tuesday)! I am SO happy with the results and my experience I could cry. She is funny, knowledgable, personable and walked me through everything she was doing. I HIGHLY recommend Rowdy and look forward to coming back when I come home to visit again :) read more

Red is definitely m my hair color of choice and sometimes its hit or miss when I get it redone. Jasmine hit it right on the nose. She took everything I said I wanted and made it happen. It took about 4 hours but the entire time she was great at what she did, so nice and fun to talk to, and even made sure to style my hair and take nice photos of my hair afterwards. I have never had my hair dyed before and when I called to scheduled a consultation, the stylist Lauren was recommended to me. I am so happy with my experience, Lauren was amazing. She is so sweet and talented, she cut my hair and gave me a full balayage and it looks so good!!! I received a confirmation acknowledging my appointment. The check-in was friendly and fast. My experience with Allison was outstanding. First of all she did an amazing job with my haircut. I was very impressed with her skills and perfectionist mindset with a great blend of art. She was also an amazing communicator with an energetic and positive personality. It felt like we had been friends for years as it was very easy talking to her. She loves her job, place of employment, and the owner. The energy in the Spa was very energetic. I was scheduled for a hair cut as a new client at this Salon today. I waited 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time & then finally left. If the stylist was going to be late, I should have been given a call to notify me, so I didn't have to sit there & waste my time - not to mention the time I wasted driving to & from. I got a call from the front desk girl 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to let me know that the stylist was finally ready for me. She then proceeded to argue with me after I let her know that I left, saying that because I arrived early, that this contributed to my wait time - really??!! This has nothing to do with the fact that I waited 20 minutes without anyone saying anything to me about the stylist being late. I have worked as an Esthetician for over 20 years. On the very rare occasion that I'm running late, my clients are notified. Totally unprofessional & such a bummer. read more

My daughter went in to have her long dyed hair stripped of color then re-colored lighter than it was before. The appt took 5 hrs and the day after, my daughter's hair was totally FRIED! She went back in after a few days and was told this was totally normal, (really????), we should BUY (not be given) specific product that would help calm the hair down. Did that and 2 weeks later it was still fried and brittle and totally ruined. They did a deep conditioning to try and help it, still maintaining it would get better -but, no difference. 3 independent hairdressers all told us the hair was totally ruined, and being told it would get better was pure fantasy, so we met with the owner who was very pleasant but would not admit any wrongdoing. She said that it's well known that such harsh chemicals can damage the hair, but we were never warned. We told her we wanted a full refund (we didn't want them near her hair again)- she said her husband deals with that and he would email us an offer. As it was SO obvious they messed up, and they kept saying they pride themselves on great customer service- so we expected a full refund ($260 + $25 for the product they sold us that did nothing), but they offered $100 which we declined - after lots of emails back and forth, they finally offered $175, only willing to refund the color costs and not the haircut or gratuity or product costs. My daughter's hair is ruined and will have to grow out and keep getting cut back until the dead hair has been cut off - probably 2 years. They had no real empathy for the devastation this has caused my daughter and were only concerned about refunding as little as possible. The fact they made us work hard to even get the $175 was unprofessional. Customer service at its very very worst. read more

I previously gave this salon a good rating, and I have been to this stylist a few times before, but this time she messaged me in the morning letting me know she had a bug and wanted to let me know in case I did not want to bring it home to my kids. No I do NOT care, I have 2 young kids and this is mommy's hair day. At this point I hadn't had my ombré done in a year or a cut in almost 6 months (it just has not worked out for the last year with my infant and work). I told her I did not care, she said ok, then later tried to see if I wanted to do it this weekend, but I work. I told her I didn't mind calling to see if another stylist could take me the next day because if I didn't do it one of those 2 days I would not have a day again for a while. So she told me to come in. We talked about what I wanted, I said I wanted it to be pretty light. I showed her a picture of what she did last time. Once she put the bleach on I could tell she was trying to rush me out. Usually my hair processes for 30-40 mins under heat, but she came to check me after 5 mins. Then again 5 mins later. She pulled me out to start rinsing after 20 mins! Needless to say my hair was not what we talked about. She tried telling me once I washed it a few times it will lighten up, I am 100% sure not matter how many times I wash my hair it will not be what 20 more mins of processing under heat would have resulted in. So after months of saving for my hair appointment and the child care too, I am left with hair I hate and it will be months before I can justify spending that much on that kind of luxury again. If she would have just canceled I would be frustrated, but would have gone to someone else and most likely gotten what I wanted. But instead she rushed me out and I am frustrated and angry to have spent so much money and not ended up with something even close to what I wanted. read more
