Fortunately, my schedule is pretty flexible, so when I received a text 2 hours before my appointment that Erin was running late, I was able to adjust and make it work. Upon arrival, there was zero acknowledgement or apology for the late appointment. Definitely suggested a lack of respect for my time. Further, I would expect that, for a "professional" hair stylist, I wouldn't have to finish the job myself (pictures included) when I got home. Assumed it was just canceled, just checked my bank statement and I was charged for the full appointment. I was visiting my mom in North Scottsdale last week and when I first arrived she complained about her hair. I jumped on yelp, found bE Salon and booked a root touch up appointment later that week with Savannah. I was nervous to take my mom because she has frontal temporal dementia which can cause social inappropriateness but Savannah was so incredible and patient and kind with us. I was able to sit next to my mom while she had her hair done and help keep things on track. It was a wonderful experience and I appreciate all that Savannah did to understand and make the salon a safe space. And my mom's hair looked great for our family pictures! read more

BE WARE!!!!! unscrupulous owner!!! very rude and condescending. called yesterday to schedule for a haircut. The salon called me at work to give them a credit card number. Was on my way in to appt today (less than 18 hours of making it) was running 7 minutes late and was called and told I was a no show and I would be charged for the haircut in full. they would not take me 7 min after appt stating I now have put the hair stylist behind schedule. funny how when that are running behind and keep you waiting that's ok. we should deduct the time we are kelp waiting from the price. she spoke down to me in a very scolding tone and she raised her voice to me. I said I am just around the corner and only needed a quick trim. she refused to let me come in and said I would be put in the computer as a no show. I should have known. ALL Erin's employees left her all at once a few years ago because she was so rude and hard to work for. no way to treat customers and employees. I cancelled my credit card so she doesn't get paid. Update; the owner contacted me and stated there was a misunderstanding about pricing and kids should receive a wash/blow dry. I was refunded for the confusion. Sadly we will not return to this salon. We came in for a kids haircut, have several times before this and we always paid $20. We saw a new stylist and confirmed it was the same price we'd been paying before, she and the other stylist both said yes, Yet at checkout the fee came up as $30. The stylist was even shocked it rang up at a higher rate and did nothing about it. Not sure why you'd decide to charge so much for a kids cut when you don't even wash or blow dry for one, and two how you raise the rates without telling the stylistand client ahead of time! read more

I saw the great reviews and decided third times gotta be a charm.....I called and requested Erin and I'm so happy to report that I am happy about my new summer sassy bob and color!!! I also had bangs cut by the previous stylist and HATED them.. Anxiety overload! Erin helped show me how to style them correctly and trimmed them a little better. I am giving this salon a two not because the staff was not friendly because they absolutely were. So likeable that after a messed up hair cut, I returned to let them fix it. When I came back to complain about my dry cut that I was given ( suggested by the stylist) another stylist there stated I should not have received a dry cut with natural curly hair. Then when I rescheduled my appointment the owner asked which one told me that because it wasn't true. I agreed to come in and allow them to fix my hair with instruction from the owner. I also scheduled an eyelash appt with the owner. I have had my lashes done for years. Never a problem. I arrive and get my hair fixed. The girl did a good job but she didn't receive any instruction from the owner. She fixed on her own. I was finally pleased. I had my lashes done by the owner. Less than four days later I message the owner telling her that almost all my lashes fell off. The only ones remaining were placed there by my last fill. I wanted to add to my review.... on June 18th the owner did respond to me and there was a reply above to my initial message to her. However, for whatever reason the day I wrote this review it was not showing on my end at all. BUT it now shows she did respond to me. It appears immediately, but Yelp delayed the receipt on my end. I wanted to make sure I added this because it is important to know if owners or managers are willing to correct the issue and she in fact has offered my money back and some suggestions on going to a shorter length. I have always used the 15s and 16s and never had an issue so I will take my business elsewhere but like I stated above the staff here was very nice. I also forgot to rate the color. I would give my girl a 5 on her color and and personality. I cannot remember her first name but she has the first station on the right. read more

Joni is the only stylist I've ever let touch my hair and I could close my eyes the entire time and I know it will always turn out perfectly!! She's taken my hair dark, light, cut it short, and I am constantly getting so many compliments whether it is up in a ponytail or curled and styled. Also, Erin the owner does an amazing job of running the salon whether in a pandemic or not! She is also the most amazing stylist snd lash artist and hires the best of the best staff for her salon and expects the best from everyone! UPDATE: Not only did the owner blame me for another poor review, in the course of attempting to do damage control in her response, proved my point exactly and still never offered to return what is mine. Unprofessional. I've found another stylist thank goodness and am very satisfied:) I was a client if the owner of this salon on and off for over 2 years. She did not only my wedding, I referred her another friends wedding and always gave her positive reviews to anyone who asked...until now. She was helping to service my hand tied extensions. At the last visit, she removed an entire row of hair, told me "You don't need this" and that she would hold it for me "in the back and put my name on it." Seeing that we have mutual acquaintances and I'd known her for so long, I trusted she would keep them. Big mistake! After being dissatisfied with the results of my hair(I asked for brown to even out my color, and I got jet black), she did not seem to care that I had an important event a few days later, and very irritated that I was disappointed. I had to get it completely color corrected to fix the disaster she created. Then, when I reached out to collect the hair she was holding for me (numerous times) she first didn't respond, then claimed she didn't have it, then said she would look and replace if she couldn't find it, then when I asked one last time, didn't respond. You shouldn't have to ask 4 times to have something returned to you. Horribly unprofessional. I'm local and always try to support local businesses and businesswomen, but this was too much. This is a nice neighborhood salon. That being said, the owner needs to learn about customer service and value to clients. I have been going there for about a year, regularly. She doesn't take questions or comments very easily and seems to get insulted if I don't like her suggestions. It's my hair and I am not a demanding lady. I recently had an appointment on a certain day and time. The salon sent me a confirmation text. I went to my appointment and she said I was down for an earlier time. I showed her the text. She didn't apologize, said I can either wait for somebody else or come another day! I waited because I didn't have another day and then I was charged a lot of money for what I had done. Nothing comped to me, nothing said. I won't go back and spend my hard earned money at a business that treats me like that. To not admit your mistake and treat a regular client like I was treated is unacceptable! read more

Kirsten has been working with my daughters damaged hair for about 6 months. She has taken hair that was a combination of red, purple, and green in color back to blonde. And because my daughter chose to color her hair all these colors and use a hot flat iron, it was brittle and breaking off everywhere. Erin was absolutely amazing! I have dark brown hair and I wanted an ashy balayage. I messaged Erin on Yelp and she got back to be very quickly (love that quick response!!) and after a few back and forth I scheduled for a haircut and color consultation. Went in and she was absolutely so sweet! Very receptive to what I wanted and was very realistic about the process considering I was going for a more drastic hair change from dark to a lighter, ashy brown/blonde. After that I was set on getting my hair done there. Fast forward to a few days later (also able to schedule me within the next two days, but had to reschedule due to scheduling conflicts on my end) to the day of my hair appointment, as soon as I came in Erin seated me and we began. I was expecting to be there for at least 5 hours and my expectations of the results were low considering the change in color. Erin finished within THREE hours and my hair exceeded my expectations! We moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area 5 months ago. I desperately needed my hair cut, but kept putting it off because I was worried about trying a new place as I had been devoted to my stylist back in SF for YEARS. Today I finally gave in and after researching local places I decided to check out Be Salon. I walked in and was greeted by the owner and several staff who were all very friendly. She was able to get me an appointment later the same day. When I came in for my appointment I was again greeted by the staff and felt welcome. Erin was very friendly and listened to what I wanted and I am so happy with the end result. My hair was in rough shape when I went in, but I left feeling beautiful and back to my old self.
