I was running about 10 minutes late for my Saturday morning Brazilian wax appointment and tried calling ahead, but could only reach an automated system. When I arrived, I was turned away because their next appointment was in 15 minutes. What was even more frustrating was that the staff kept pushing me toward sugaring despite admitting it wouldn't effectively remove all my hair. They then suggested I return later when a more experienced technician would be available. So not only was I denied service, but I was also expected to make another trip because the available staff couldn't perform the service I booked. Poor communication, questionable expertise, and absolutely no consideration for customers' time. Definitely not returning!

Not a big fan of this place. I am a loyal Aveda fan, and after leaving my Aveda trained hairstylist of 5 years in San Francisco; I chose this Aveda salon because of it's close proximity to my home. I setup a consultation with Marnie, recommended to me by their front desk as someone experienced in blond highlights. During her consultation, she recommended she speak with my prior hairdresser, and I left the number. She spoke to my hairdresser to get my original formula and I booked for the following week. However, Marnie decided unilaterally to change my color to a "cooler" tone, but didn't inform me, until I was processed and she removed the foils. She felt (on her own) that the cooler tones were "more natural". I advised her if I wanted "natural" I would not have a reason to sit in her chair. I was very upset, and left knowing I would not return. The salon itself is very small, but overall it is fairly new and clean. read more

Color application had been subpar leading to additional appointments for correction at least twice. As I get more and more gray hair (while still having some darker blonde particularly in the back), I was seeking hair color to give me a more gradual transition growth-wise. Lowlights were also being added with highlights but it got to a point where I was walking out of the salon darker and darker which was not conducive to the ample gray growth at all. And I am not one for making visits to the salon every few weeks for root coverage. I also felt like, due to so little time & effort being given to shaping my hair, there was no longer any real style. I had visited a few different salons, since my longtime hair stylist had moved out of state, and I was getting quite discouraged. April truly listens, and she explains what steps she is taking throughout the process. She gives her full attention and truly aims to please. I had her add bangs back, and she cut them perfectly. If I could give more than five stars, I certainly would do so.

I asked her why she ran the razor so high she snapped "You SAID you wanted it buzzed " I was staring at the bare sides of my head & she said "It'll grow back." Another stylist came over & nagged at me, insisting my girl couldn't buzz it properly because the clippers are too big & that I'm not a professional stylist so I don't know how hair works. I told her that was ridiculous & she should know how to use her own tools. While I battled the 2nd stylist, my girl stood off to the side scoffing & rolling her eyes & snickering. Maybe it was nervous laughter. But she clearly made a mistake & neither one of them could be professional & just fix it, they wanted to argue it away. I told them both I wanted her to clean it up, & I wanted to leave. I had to ask her to blow dry my wet hair, she was pushing for me to get out of her chair like I had done something to HER. I was even about to pay & she told me to just go. I didn't even raise my voice or stomp out, I was trying so hard to keep it together. That "It'll grow back" comment really stung. Not something I want to hear a professional hair stylist say after they've destroyed my mop. I highly recommend avoiding this salon.

I told her that I was looking at the ad as we spoke and that it stated that master stylists were included as well as other services. She then told me that she wouldn't honor the 25 percent off and she wasn't even aware of the website special. All were a load of lies. She then told me that I could choose another salon. I told her that her website includes false advertising. She then hung up the phone. I have never experienced anything at all like this. Her own website states the facts of the discount. I am so glad that I didn't go there. They are liars, rude and have no customer service skills. i have attached the discount from their own website. It is unfortunate that the owner, Diane is a complete liar. The website states color and master stylists included in discount.

I came in to get highlights in my hair, expecting one of the professionals to help me out. After I get there, some random dude comes out who barely speaks English. Barely asks me questions about what I want, and barely talks about what he is going to do starts to do the cap thing on my head. He was extremely rough using the tool, stabbing my head very hard. After he finishes he finishes dying my hair, charges me $300 then when I ask how to maintain it he responds "I trust you will make the right decisions"... like no I know nothing about this, this was my first time. Then a couple hours later, when it drys, I look at it and it looks TERRIBLE. The sides of my head looked like I had cheetah print and the top was VERY orange. After I realize. I go back in a couple days later. After having to take time off of work because of how bad it looked and how anxious it made me. They agreed that it looked terrible and they told me that they would fix it free of charge.... They schedule me for the next day and I come in, then as they start they say "btw we are going to charge you $150 for this". They said this AFTER they started and told me they'd fix it for free. Then I asked why it wasn't free anymore and they ignored the question and walked away. When I went to the register they gave me a product to buy and told me I had to pay and when I asked why it wasn't free anymore again, they said because a different person fixed it. Which made no sense because they scheduled me with her and said it would be free to fix. Again, normally I don't leave reviews. Look at my profile for proof. This was such an incredibly terrible experience, save your money and your mental health and go somewhere else.

The lady messed up my hair so badly that she asked me to come back today so she could fix it. I spent a total of 8 hours at that salon and she still could not fix my hair. The horrible receptionist at the front told me it was not the hair dressers fault because since I am pregnant my hormones change my hair and it is essentially my fault and there is nothing more they could do. As I was walking out of the salon another hair dresser says "it's not that bad". Wow. That's what I want to hear! I am so disappointed. Especially after she still Charged me $60.00 for the trim! Now I am a pretty understanding person and I appreciate her trying to make it right the next day. She's only human and we don't always get it right... I get it. But I walked out of that salon after 8 hours with damaged hair that looks worse than when I initially went in. Now I need to go somewhere else and have them fix my 60.00 mistake.
