Pros: pretty salon, nice location, kind staff, tries to fix mistakes Cons: gaslights, expensive, doesn't give correct color/services, veryyyy long service I went yesterday just to touch up my brown hair since it was grown out. I showed pictures of my hair to the stylist and explained I had been getting my hair glossed every other month to that color. She convinced me I should dye it instead and get it toned. I trusted her since she was the stylist and she dyed my hair black when I had shown a picture of warm brown. :( Then when she began to dry my hair I was obviously shocked and was like this is alot darker than the color we had discussed... and she explained "no your hair is still drying" (gaslight 1x). Then when it was very obvious my hair was then dried, she then said "it's bad lighting, it's the correct color in other lighting" (gaslight 2x), then when it was obvious no matter what lighting the color was very wrong she decided to blame ME, she then said "your hair takes up dye a lot easier than most people's so your hair is a little odd" (gaslight 3x). Which also this is incorrect because she dyed my clip in extensions the same color lol. After gaslighting me 3x she continues on the appointment acting like it's ending soon instead of trying to fix my hair. I then tell her I'm going to the restroom so that I can go talk to the front without making a scene. When I showed the front my inspiration picture, the woman looked SHOCKED. She was like "oh maybe let's go outside and take pictures in natural light it'll be better" Then when she took pictures outside it was still black. And she acknowledged that it was black. So then the front desk woman went to the stylist explaining she needed to try and fix this (how come the stylist needed me to escalate the situation to even fix it). The front desk woman also told me she got me and that I was covered. In my head I was like okay maybe they'll fix it and at least it's comped now since she said I'm covered. They try SO hard to fix it, dye remover, clarifying shampoo, my 1.5hr appointment is now turning into a painful 5 hour appointment. I had to cancel everything else that day just to let the stylist ATTEMPT to fix my hair that she ruined. Then at the end of the 5 hours, my hair then reassembled brown again, not the color I had asked for at all, but I was happy it wasn't black anymore. I could also tell they were not going to be able to lift the color anymore and that this was as close as it'd get. The front desk woman then came over and was like "oh good!! Your hair isn't black anymore!! It's actually brown!" Girl.... Then she leads me to the front, and the same woman who told me I was covered asked how I would like to pay for the $150 appointment, I guess they decided to revoke me being covered since my hair reassembled brown. I've been getting my hair dyed darker brown for over a year now and other salons have never had an issue nor charged this much. Please be cautious when using this salon so you don't have to experience what I did. When I first sat down I told Elda my general goals, concerns, and showed her some inspo photos. Then (in a very kind way) she explained why she didn't think my inspo photos would bring me toward my goals, gave me some alternative options, and told me why the other options would also suit my face shape and skin tone better. I had a terrible experience at my previous salon in Old Town, and Haley managed to fix all of my troubles and gave me an amazing cut that was everything i wanted. She greeted me and sat with me to look at my hair and listened to what I wanted, and went over what she would do, before shampooing. Both my sister and I each got a cut and color there recently and had bad experiences. Everyone there seemed nice enough but when it came to both of our cuts and color, my sister's color and cut looked nothing like the photo she showed me of what she wanted done. I got a dark brown black color and while I really liked the color, a lot of the perimeter of my face was stained pretty badly that it stained into my forehead and I was left with very obvious sideburns stains. It was a little embarrassing. Then when it came to my cut, I showed an actual photo of myself with the cut I was looking for. And when done, it was not was I was looking for. I wanted a cut similar to a previous one I had elsewhere so I knew that my hair could do that. The stylist didn't ask whether I liked my cut afterwards. Just said I was done and was ready to send me on my way. I had to tell the stylist to cut it like the photo and he was reluctant to do so. Both my sister and I are not ones to speak up when unhappy typically, and it was harder to speak for ourselves when your stylist isn't open to hearing it. Needless to say, we both left unhappy which was made worse by how expensive the place was. It definitely was not worth what we paid. read more

I love my stylist, but this salon does not require masks as their advertising indicates. There is a sign on the door, but many staff members defy the mask mandate and simply wear the masks below their chins, or not at all. Worse yet, when asked to please wear masks properly, the staff was offended at the suggestion. Salons across the country have figured this out during the pandemic, so don't understand why this salon is so resistant. Who wants to get their hair styled and worry the whole time about getting Covid? It's too bad Cast Salon shows so little concern for its clients during the pandemic. read more

This salon illegally charged my credit card without my authorizarion after I missed an appointment. There was no agreement that was in place allowing them to charge my card due to missing an appointment. I contacted the salon prior to contacting attorney and they said that the funds would be returned but that never happened. My attorney is currently going through procedure to file claim to recover money and penalties. Be careful who you hand your credit/debit card over to! read more

My daughter and I went and saw Holly Canton while on Vacation for Spring training though I basically came on the trip for a hair cut! Holly cut my hair for 10+ years in California before she moved to Arizona. She is talented and skilled and listens to her clients and what they want. My daughter cut off over 10 inches to donate and got bangs. Holly listened to what she wanted and the pictures that she showed her. She made this big change so much fun even gave her chocolate to have while she did her hair. She made her feel beautiful, important, and loved. She even said can we live by Holly so she can do my hair ever day and get my hair cut regularly by her!? And those are my thought too! Holly is the only one I would trust to give me straight across bangs and I am so glad that I was able to get my hair done by her again! Amy is good with color but she charges you for blow dry and leaves your hair wet and frizzy. She literally took her brush one time and went to the the next streak of hair and left my hair wet and sent me home like that. The second time I went she curled my hair half way it looked horrible and than told me i should wash it again so she can dry it, she went over my hair several times with a flat iron and didn't fix it. I had co come home again blow dry it my self and flat iron it with my flat iron since hers did't work. She should learn how to blow dry and invest in a better blow-drier and a profesional flat iron . read more

The salon is Beverly Hills chic, but WAAY more chill as an experience (thank God). It's open, gorgeous and unpretentious. As for my hair, Topher is a master.
