I work in the medical field, so obviously, I know nothing about hair! They ended up charging me $510 the past four weeks to get my 14 year old daughter's hair done correctly when they should've charged me 250 or $300 to get it right the first time! She sat in that chair for three something hours and then had to come back and sit in the chair for another three something hours, which was a total and complete pain in the ass for both her and I! I also had a horrible experience with that place recently... My stylist is the sweetest person ever, but she doesn't have a clue what she's doing! My hair looks like fucking shit, I had to bust my way through two managers only to be told to leave because "I was never going to be happy". . My hair looks like shit right now, so now I need to go somewhere else and pay another $3-$500 to get it fixed. I will never be taking my business to Roway Hair ever again! One time when I left that place about three years ago, I left there looking like Tony the Tiger!! Literally had strips of white hair, strips of black hair and orange hair! I came in to get highlights in my hair, expecting one of the professionals to help me out. After I get there, some random dude comes out who barely speaks English. After he finishes he finishes dying my hair, charges me $300 then when I ask how to maintain it he responds "I trust you will make the right decisions"... like no I know nothing about this, this was my first time. Then a couple hours later, when it drys, I look at it and it looks TERRIBLE. The sides of my head looked like I had cheetah print and the top was VERY orange. After I realize. I go back in a couple days later. After having to take time off of work because of how bad it looked and how anxious it made me. They agreed that it looked terrible and they told me that they would fix it free of charge.... They schedule me for the next day and I come in, then as they start they say "btw we are going to charge you $150 for this". They said this AFTER they started and told me they'd fix it for free. Then I asked why it wasn't free anymore and they ignored the question and walked away. When I went to the register they gave me a product to buy and told me I had to pay and when I asked why it wasn't free anymore again, they said because a different person fixed it. Which made no sense because they scheduled me with her and said it would be free to fix. Again, normally I don't leave reviews. Look at my profile for proof. Another stylist came over & nagged at me, insisting my girl couldn't buzz it properly because the clippers are too big & that I'm not a professional stylist so I don't know how hair works. I told her that was ridiculous & she should know how to use her own tools. While I battled the 2nd stylist, my girl stood off to the side scoffing & rolling her eyes & snickering. I told them both I wanted her to clean it up, & I wanted to leave. I had to ask her to blow dry my wet hair, she was pushing for me to get out of her chair like I had done something to HER. They then came back and told me about something I would have to sign in case they had to CUT MY HAIR OFF after. My hair is no where near that. Sure it has had some heat on it, and had some color, but no where near that. At my age I am well aware of what my hair can take. The manager kept picking up my hair and dropping it and telling the hairstylist "I wouldn't do it if I were you," with this look of disgust. I have never been more humiliated at a salon. I said then what can you do for me. They told me there was nothing they could do for me. On their social media and individual pages they all claim what experts they are. They share pictures of women with perfect hair the before and after. But what about women who come in wanting a change and needing a change that don't have a "blank canvas" as the hairstylist mentioned she wanted? If you are looking for a salon to help you with your hair, THIS IS NOT IT. They are not confident in skill and make you sign a waiver. Not to mention, I was ready to shell out the 325.00 they quoted me to even do my hair and STILL they were going to have me sign a waiver. I have NEVER in all my years been told it is impossible to do my hair, and for a salon that charges so much, and has such a great reputation I was beyond disappointed. Do not come here if you have used heat on your hair, have any fly aways that may look like "damage". Unless you want to be made to feel like I do. Trash.
