We had a few last-minute tweaks, like switching a partial updo to a full updo and changing a shampoo and blowout to a dry style, and they were very accommodating. Group bookings can be tricky, so we really appreciate that flexibility. In the past, they paired you with one stylist for hair and a separate makeup artist, but this time it seemed like the same person handled both services. It was our first experience with this setup. While everyone was happy with how their hair and makeup turned out, there were some conversations about preferring specialists for each service, as many stylists tend to have a stronger focus on either hair or makeup. That said, everything still turned out beautifully, and the receptionists were friendly and welcoming as always. Overall, another positive experience for our group!

They were very busy, which isn't surprising for a holiday weekend, but my stylist still did a nice job with my fine hair. The only thing that surprised me was that I had mentioned I was getting my hair done for my birthday dinner, but there wasn't any acknowledgment of the occasion. It certainly wasn't expected, but it would have been a thoughtful touch, especially at a luxury resort salon. Overall, it's a good option if you're staying at The Phoenician and want the convenience of an on-property salon. The service and styling were solid, but it didn't leave enough of an impression for me to book a second appointment during the rest of my stay.

I live like five minutes down the street, so it's very convenient for me, but not convenient when I have to go back a second time every single time lately in order for the stylist to get the look right. I work in the medical field, so obviously, I know nothing about hair! They ended up charging me $510 the past four weeks to get my 14 year old daughter's hair done correctly when they should've charged me 250 or $300 to get it right the first time! She sat in that chair for three something hours and then had to come back and sit in the chair for another three something hours, which was a total and complete pain in the ass for both her and I! I also had a horrible experience with that place recently... My stylist is the sweetest person ever, but she doesn't have a clue what she's doing! My hair looks like fucking shit, I had to bust my way through two managers only to be told to leave because "I was never going to be happy". . My hair looks like shit right now, so now I need to go somewhere else and pay another $3-$500 to get it fixed. I will never be taking my business to Roway Hair ever again! One time when I left that place about three years ago, I left there looking like Tony the Tiger!! Literally had strips of white hair, strips of black hair and orange hair! The stylist completely fucked my hair up, so the manager ended up having to correct it for free a week or two later. Done with this place! Does the pictures look like I just paid $180 (because I didn't get a haircut or even make her dry my hair all the way for me??)?
