I called 3 days in advance to make an appointment for me and my daughter. I told them I wanted a wash cut and style. They said yes. gave me a time to be there. So I got there and they cut my daughters hair pretty choppy and too short. Then they started on my hair and he didn't do anything that I asked him. The inspo pic compared to my hair are nothing. All he basically did was a trim... when I wanted long layers, short curtain bangs, and not to take too much length off and he did the complete opposite and nothing I asked of. I feel like I wasted all of my money. Also a child's haircut should not be 35 when adult is 40. A person before me paid $90 for 3 women's hair cuts but I paid 75? Make that makes sense. I have also come here for a trim before as well. I had my hair cut by two different ladies who were both very nice and accommodating. They understood exactly what I wanted right away. Jan. 6, 2023 Got out of work much earlier than expected, so I thought I'd try getting a long- needed haircut at Hung's as a walk-in. Was told to return in 30 minutes- decided I'd just wait it out, as I didn't want cold groceries to warm up while I had my wash, cut, and blow-dry. Saw many patrons come in from shopping or dining and being seated to receive their services, and after 30 minutes, my time came up. After a quick chat with Linh, who asked what I wanted, it was time to get my hair washed. No chit-chat, which was fine with me; nails were a bit rough on my scalp, and I should've spoken up- next time! Water dribbled into the towel draped over the sink, which then wet the shirt on my back, which made me feel cold the rest of the service, but onto the cut and blow-dry... For $40 ($30 for wash and cut; $10 for blow-dry), I was pretty happy with my new cut! Linh even used a flat- iron to style my hair. My hair looked healthy, my head felt much lighter, and I even received a few compliments at home and at work - I'm happy! Bonus- salon is next to Happy Baos, which I tried for the first time for takeout after I left Hung's, and now I have two more excuses to return to Mekong Plaza! Thank you, Linh! Discovered them from a friend's Instagram and they were so responsive with inquires. Situated inside the Mekong Plaza, it can be a zoo but the staff is quick for men's haircuts and simple styling. Long and Trish are little fashionable stylists who belong in a magazine cover. He's talented and easy on the eyes. Quick with the scissors like he is Edward Scissorhands, I am floored at his ability. He did my balayage and I'll be back for my summer look. Trish was my stylist for a touch up and such a lovely hostess. She's a sweetheart and wonderful at suggestions for what works for you. I think prices are pretty in line and reasonable for women's hair. Certainly affordable for men's. Very staff member is quick depending on your service of course. I will probably be a regular since it's nice to have someone familiar with Asian hair...even if mine is not typical. Life is too short to do your own hair. DO NOT GO HERE. You will regret it so much. I had very long hair with split ends, so I went in and asked to get 4 inches off with some slight side bangs to frame my face. When I told that to the stylist, she just nodded. She roughly combs my hair then IMMEDIATELY proceeds to chop off 6 inches off of my DRY hair on her first cut. She did this for rest of my head as I sat helpless in the chair knowing that it was already too late. I have curly, tangly hair, and typically when I get a cut, they at least wet my hair down before cutting to ensure a more even cut. This lady literally chopped at it while it had been raked through with a comb. Not to mention she didn't say one word to me the whole time AND didn't ask if I was okay with the cut. I'm so angry. I hate my hair so much & I'm never setting foot within a mile of that place again. read more

I've been here many many times and I love going back! Long and Trish never seem to disappoint and they're prices are relatively affordable compared to salons in Scottsdale. They always manage to take very good care of me and give me the results I want! If you're having a hard time deciding on which salon to go to, this is the one! It was very hard for me to find a salon that specialized in Asian hair because its a lot harder and thicker to lighten. I saw the good reviews of this place and decided to give it a try. I had asked for a mushroom brown balayage, and showed pictures for reference; however that is not at all what I got. As you can see from my picture, my hair came out blondish with patches of yellow on the bottom still. On top of that, even before telling me, my stylist started cutting my hair even though we hadn't mentioned anything about a cut. Not a bad place to get a quick haircut! I have long thick hair and just needed it to be shorter with layers. A nice man helped me get my cut done in about 30 min (waited 15 min after my scheduled appointment). Basically go in there and tell them what you want, then they'll make it happen without any suggestions. My hairdresser in SoCal usually asks if I want some side bangs or not since she thinks it looks better on me, and I usually do it. Today I personally didn't tell my barber that I wanted bangs so after the haircut was done he just showed me the back part of my head and let me go without saying much. One interesting thing is that they don't wash your hair at all, which is new and strange to me. I guess that helps with saving time but man, definitely a different experience. Got quoted $25+ for a women's cut and was charged $30 after the cut which isn't bad. read more

Eric has been cutting my hair and my kids' hair for over one year. I have always had a hard time finding someone to cut my hair and he does a great job. His price is reasonable and you can call to get an appointment. My kids have had a perm with him as well and he does a good job with perms. Unfortunately, the perms do not last very long. I would recommend Eric and calling beforehand to make an appointment. The salon itself is small with a few chairs.
