My family have been coming to Win for many years. He's the best! My son does not trust anyone else to cut his hair

I walked into the Arizona hair place just to see if they had any braiders they didn't have none available today so I was going to set up an appointment and then be on my way in a Lyft the lady walks in very disrespectful and kicks me out and saying that I was rude and that she was not going to do my hair she made me feel very bad I am on disability I have medical reasons and I almost passed away and lost my life over diabetic a coma I ain't have no way to contact her when I was filling in that type of condition to let her know I wanted to make sure I was 100% okay before I can focus to speak to her she was very rude and kicking me out and just acted all ghetto towards me I even said she was rude and she said yes I am rude because you were said I was rude to her and I never was rude to her at all all I wanted to do was get my hair done I didn't start no problems I didn't act wrong I didn't put no hands on or do no violence she treated me like straight crap and I have medical reasons and I almost lost my life and I just feel very bad the way she treated me and didn't even give me the chance to try to work with me and she was going to call the police on me and I didn't do anything wrong I told her to go ahead and call the police because I worked for him before and I do security on the side she was like you don't even look like when I said because you don't know me like that you're just judging me for my character for the way I'm dressed making me feel like one of these thugs when I'm not even I am a very good person and she made me feel very bad misjudging my character and making me feel like somebody that I wasn't so I walked out and I told her I'm going to pray for her because she is very rude and it is not right to be judging people for what they've been through and don't even know what they're about I suggest not to go there cuz she is very rude and accusing me over ways that I did not even do wrong I just walked in there just to see what availability they had so I can get my hair braided and paid for it and she took me the wrong way and judging me for the wrong way in the wrong reasons. read more

I live in Tucson but from time to time, I spend 4 hours on the way just for Win's expertise. Every time he spent an hour on my hair! An hour! Without talking or looking after anything else but just focusing on my hair!!! He has all my respect. Considering his expertise, the $50 dollar he charges is not expensive at all. I used to have my hair done in LA Korean town before I move to AZ. There, they usually charge 60-80 but their skills and attitude are not comparable to Win. We are leaving AZ next spring and I am sure I will miss this place a lot! read more

Hair color chemical he used on me was not from an original box from the manufacturer. Make sure to check & watch them open the box of the chemicals in front of you & actually used it on you. My high light color was close to bleach blond w/c is not the color I wanted. At the end, he destroyed my hair. He might be good at cuts and styling. But I'm not going back there again. read more

It does not worth the money. Thirty-five dollars for twenty minutes hair cut and it turns out to be ten dollies quality. If you don't use detailed trimmer, then do your work carefully. Don't excuse that you cut the hair equal length and the issue is that my head is not even！ I felt weak sense of responsibility of you and I felt sorry that you try to pass the buck. I was referred by a close friend to give Win a try after making impulsive decisions on hair stylist and has never been really impressed with any in the past. Not only is he reasonable, he always listens carefully and cut my hair to the exact style I want. Although I had brought a picture to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. What really is impressive is the time he takes for each cut, which is no less than an hour and maintain to be on time. He really has a true talent for this!! read more

Went there for the 1st time at their new salon location. It used to be 2 miles north from the current location. The new location is fairly easy to find, it's on the NWC of Frys Rd. & Dobson Rd. in Chandler. This was my 2nd time getting my hair cut by Win. The price is very reasonable for me, however the drive was a bit far since I live in North Scottsdale. They do not accept walk-ins, everyone will need to have an appointment. I cannot go anywhere else after having had a haircut at Win. Win himself (that is the owner's name) is an artist and spent over an hour precisely cutting my hair. I got a shoulder length straight bob which he executes perfectly each time. I've gone to many salons in the area including very expensive ones at the malls and vicinities and have never encountered a hair dresser with his excellent technique. He does layers like no one and is very VERY detailed oriented! I have always been greeted with smiles by everyone in the salon. For the expertise in cutting hair his services are very reasonably priced. Love everything about this place! Loved my haircut I had gotten from Win Salon not long ago. I had heard of it from some friends and decided to try it. It was definitely worth it. The hair stylists are very nice and really take time to do the style you want. The only downside is that they only accept cash, which is inconvenient for someone who never carries cash and is coming into the place for the first time. They were able to accommodate using a card reader app and ipad but reminded me to bring cash instead next time. My mom and I have been going here for the last 7 years. Win is a talented hair stylist who knows how to cut Asian hair and of course, all other types too. I always ask for layers and usually 1-2 inches off and he does the job well. If you want your hair thinned out he does that too. It helps if you can describe what you want in Cantonese or Chinese, or bring a picture of what you want, but he usually knows how to create what you're asking for. Really? $35 for a $12 quality haircut. I got a haircut from the owner. He is supposed to be this famous hair stylist who worked with a bunch of Chinese celebrities(You can see his photos with them on the wall), and I ended up getting a $12 haircut for $35. It's not even what I want it. And he shows no patience to listen or detail his work. I mean seriously, how can he stay in business this long?! Not recommend one bit. read more

I have been getting haircuts from win at his salon since before the location change which was probably around 6 or 7 years ago. Booking an appointments takes about a minute of calling and usually you get in within the week unless it's christmas time. They are not open on thursdays but otherwise the timing is great. I always find my experience to be rather pleasant starting with the hair wash and then the cut. He will even cut your hair for donations. I have gotten a number of cuts that always frame my face well and give me the fresh look that I like from a salon. They also have some sort of secret blow drying technique that makes your hair look amazing and it is not replicatable by my unskilled hands. I always leave happy with my look and I find the price of $45 to be reasonable. If you call them for a facial they sometimes have those available for $60 I believe. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star review is my inexperience with the male haircuts. I know that they are quite pricey for males since I have seen barbars only charge $13 for great cuts while they charge $35. I always go when the salon is relatively empty like 3pm or 4 pm on a weekday so you will get full attention. read more
