Blank face no expression, didn't follow my request to do finger length with scissors on my top hair. She went ahead and buzzed me up gave me a military cut. I go to great clips every month. For almost 10+ years now. Obviously had some good and bad haircuts. But today has to be the worst experience I ever had. Lady comes in from the back door to cut my hair, smells like straight CIGARETTES. Uses one hand only and messed up my hair like nobody ever has before. Asked how I wanted my hair done.. only to cut it however she felt like. I get my sides cut short and leave the top long, but she decided to clipper all the way into the long hair on top ruining my hair that I've been growing out for months. You need to immediately draft and enforce a policy that requires all of your stylists to ask for consent before spraying any scented products or perfumes onto your customers. This is a really really big problem. Your stylist Jane basically poisoned me today. Also, pay more attention to how we are wearing our hair when we come in. The lady with red boots is unprofessional I think her name is Jane. Did a poor job with the sides and felt like the entire thing was rushed. Unprofessional did not even take a second to blow the hair in my face and the hair is not cut even in the front part. I was nice enough to leave a tip but I did not enjoy a second of the process. BEWARE of the new woman they have cutting in this place. I've been going here for close to 20 years and have always had good cuts. This new woman I had today was absolutely horrible. I didn't catch her name, but she has dark black hair, bright red lipstick, medium build and she wears boots. 1st, she removed the ribbon that was around my neck halfway thru the cut, and half of my hair went down my back under my shirt. At the end of the cut, she put some nasty smelling gel in my hair without asking. Every other stylist in this place always asks first and I say NO! Then after she said she was done, my hair looked like I just stepped in from a hurricane. I was blown away she would let anyone leave her station with a cut like that. This needs a negative star. I'm so upset right now - I cried in the shop and I never cry in places like that. I used to have long hair and I asked for a trim and a very long layer just for movement with some blending on the front to frame my face. She butchered my hair!! She just started chopping without me telling her how much I wanted off. I kept saying I wanted long, long layers nothing too short. She gave me short layers and my hair just looks super choppy now. The manager was able to help blend it a little but it still looks so horrible. I am going to have to wait for it to grow out some to get it a better cut. This lady should be banned from ever cutting hair again. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. I'm mortified. NEVER GO TO THE GREAT CLIPS ON GILBERT ROAD NEAR SPROUTS!!! Took our granddaughter there to get a haircut. Should have read the reviews on this location first, come to find out the reviews are all negative. So we told the stylist to cut 3 inches off our granddaughters hair in the back. She used a mans razor and shaved 1/4 inch off very unevenly in the back and we provided a picture to go by to cut the front, she took 2 snips and was done unevenly again. Worst haircut ever, uneven and not even worth a dollar in total. When we got home called the manager, who called us liars, and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I was completely taken aback by his lack of professionalism. My granddaughter was very upset over her haircut and he could have cared less. I WOULD NOT TAKE MY DOG HERE TO BE GROOMED!!!!!! read more

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. Let's start off with they were definitely not my first choice but the other 2 salons I tried either couldn't fit me in or had an hour wait. So I walk in and am immediately met with a dirty look. All I wanted was a simple blowout. No wash. Just for her to round brush it and give it some volume, I was taking pictures afterwards. I know I'm in trouble when my "stylist" asks another woman "how she should even do that". She leaves and comes back with a round brush and I feel a little better. However, she's a total jerk. My hair is naturally thick and tangles pretty easy. She just turns the blow dryer on and immediately starts to round brush my hair, pulling sharply when she gets to a knot. There's no apologies from her side. Not when I flinch in pain from her ripping my knots out. Not for spraying water directly in my face. Not even when she RIPS MY EAR RING OUT. The only time she spoke to me through the whole thing was to tell me how bad my split ends are. Then, the whole experience costed me $35. 35?! For you to blow dry my hair? Will. Never. My husband took my daughter to this location for haircut on 05/26/15. My husband asked the hairdresser to take off a few inches, so it would be about to her shoulders. Just a even straight cut, no layers or anything. Her hair was still wet when they left and when they got home he noticed a section of her hair was considerably shorter than the rest of it. I'm not sure how hairdresser was able to miss this, everyone that I've seen cut hair always checks to see if the lengths are even throughout and at the end of the haircut. He called the location and they told him to come in with the receipt and they will fix it. Hopefully that will happen when they go back in today. I am just so shocked that the hairdresser didn't notice that one section was shorter than the rest of the hair. read more

The ladies here are friendly until you bring out a coupon. Today I had a coupon for $5.99 and they had a sale going on for $7.99. They refused to take my 5.99 coupon because of their sale. I know it seems petty to squabble over $2.00 but it was the false advertising that really got to me. I tried every which way to convince them that they needed to honor the coupon I had received from them in the mail, but they wouldn't do it. Great Clips is the greatest place that's has happened to me this year!! I've had a few unpleasant experiences with going to get my hair trimmed this year, BUT NOT AT GREAT CLIPS... Yesterday morning, I went in to Great Clips on Gilbert&Williams field and was blown away by the staffs EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They were friendly and very professional (not at all gossipy, like some places). I felt very welcomed, which made it feel just like home. I was comfortable enough to open up to my AMAZING stylist Anna about my previous unpleasant experiences and it was nice that she didn't make me feel crazy, like one place had done.... I really appreciate my stylist Anna, not only did I get an amazing haircut that I am 100% satisfied with but she helped me find a safe, comfortable place I want to take my family and myself to for all my hair care need. read more

I would like to give this place zero stars, but the rating system won't let me. I had gone to get a haircut from these people with my family. And like Zoe V. said they gave me dirty looks when I walked in. I felt VERY uncomfortable. But what amazed me the most is that when I got my haircut, they cut is lopsided and thought it was okay to argue with me about how it "wasn't". So I asked one of my family members to confirm that it was lopsided, and they said the same thing as me; that is was lopsided. The lady kept arguing while the other workers kept hovering around us to give us more dirty looks and eavesdrop. She was talking about how I'd "have to" straighten my hair everyday to keep it the same length. After that, I blatantly told her that I was the customer and wanted it drench so they could cut the bottom straight and return it back to normal. They partially fixed it, so when I got home I had my sister help me fix it. When I measured the difference in hair length on both sides is was more than half an inch difference and extremely noticeable how lopsided it was. Unfortunately, these problems and other abnormalities have occurred each time I go to this Great Clips. I've gone here enough with family to know that they always mess up something when we go there. If you're a girl (or guy with longer hair) who wants a beautiful haircut without problems, don't go here or they'll completely mess up your hair. read more

This spot and more specifically Carlos's chair is more representative of a high class cut you would expect with fancy salons, but it never runs me over $30 (and that's because I tip him 100% each time).
