I wish I could give a 0 rating! I moved to the west coast a few months ago and needed to find a new hair salon. I found flirt and was told Martika was great with blonde hair. I gave her a shot and she did a decent job but my hair developed orange brassy tones afterwards. After using purple shampoos for weeks, it finally settled down. After a few months I needed to have my highlights, toner and haircut again. I called the salon and found out Martika was no longer working there. I spoke to Stephanie and she told me she was also very good with blonde hair. I decided to give it a try. When I arrived for my appointment, Stephanie was not there. I was not notified in any way that she wouldn't be able to do my hair that day. Lacey greeted me and told me she was the salon color educator and she would do my hair. She assured me that I was in "good hands" because she had 27 years of experience. I was very vocal about not wanting any dark showing and how blonde I wanted to go. I showed pictures and explained it clearly, to which she said " I got you girl". I didn't have much choice, so I decided to try her as I would've had to see someone new anyway. She started by doing full scalp toner before the highlights which I've never seen. But she said some people do it differently. After being rinsed out, I noticed my overall roots were extremely dark and I had specified that I didn't want any dark showing. She told me it would lighten when we dried it. After it was dry, I saw orange brass all over and completely dark. It didn't even look blonde at all! I left the salon and will never go back. read more

Bad vibes! Oh I was so excited to try Flirt. It was rather last minute and booked the day before. I was greeted kindly at front and offered a drink and I thought the salon was pretty and welcoming. Well the hairstylist Martika was quite the opposite. I sat down and she repeatedly told me my hair was dry and damaged. Thats it.. repeating. No other conversation was made. My hair is a dry texture as I have curls and brushed my hair out for her. She said I will need to use olaplex on you .. I thought this was an olaplex salon? I expected olaplex. I then asked for roots only since she wasn't confident in lightening ombré due to my damaged hair. I've never had this issue in all my years of coloring my hair. Highlights/ombré/lowlights I immediately was nervous in her ability to cut or even do roots and I was very uncomfortable by her demeanor. I then asked if we could just skip this appointment and I left. I not sure why she acted the way she did but would not return. read more

First timer, I called last minute and asked if the salon had someone who was good with ethnic hair also in hopes their was availability. Lucky me there was! Although still very hesitant but desperately wanting some TLC Let me just say I can count on one hand How many times I've been happy and satisfied with my hair most of the time I'm disappointed and feeling like I wanna cry because of how it doesn't turn out to my expectations. Micheal, evaluated my hair and was completely honest with what he could accomplish considering what I wanted. I really mean it when I say I'm very satisfied with how my hair turned out.. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE HAIR COLOR. Also gave me a oplex deep conditioning. I'm usually disappointed so this feeling of loving my hair color has me wanting to thank Michael so much ... I was very disappointed with my experience, I was nervous about getting a trim and expressed this to the gal who was cutting my hair, I explained I had not had my hair cut in 5 years and wasn't ready for a drastic change, we had decided on a couple inches and proceeded with the cut, when all was said and done she cut almost 8 inches I did not realize how short it was til my daughter showed me the before and after pictures. Also during this visit while she was cutting my hair she also cut her finger pretty bad.... I was not impressed with my visit and this whole ordeal cost me $65. read more

I came in a week before my wedding to get a color done. I know what you're thinking... "a week before you're wedding?!?!" Yeah, that's what i thought. But in a july not one but two stylists advised this date... despite my discomfort, i trusted their PROFESSIONAL opinion. I was clearly wrong. I showed photos in July of what i wanted and again at the appt. I stated i wanted simple, Ashy and cool tone balayage, very natural. (Reference photo is attached) Johnny made me feel confident he had this. He was gushing over how great it was the whole time. Ince it's is done he is in love and so proud. I was so sad to tell him i didn't like it, but tried to trust the process. I got home after paying $350 for my hair and played with it. I began bawling my eyes out because i hated it even more. It was nothing like what i wanred. I finally called and began crying to the receptionist and explained how bad I felt but needed it to be fixed quickly since I fly out in two days to go to my wedding that is in a week. She put me on hold. The Johnny answers, which had me surprised and caught off guard. I felt horrible telling him that i didn't love it. He was confused and defended it by telling me he gave me what i wanted, which was a Carmel balayage. I corrected him that i didn't ask for that and avoided Carmel and warm tones. He told me they are closed Sunday and Monday(website says differently), and that the best i can do is wash my hair with blue shampoo and hope it helps. He did not offer anything else, he did not say goodbye, the phone line disconnected. I was astonished. I am now seeking emergency color correction so j can feel beautiful on my wedding day, which is costing me another $300-$350. I am paying $700 roughly to have my hair done overall, which was not budgeted in my expenses for the wedding, when money is now tight. It's unfortunate to get this care and service. I will never return and recommend no one else come. They do not listen, they do not empathize and they do not meet the client needs. This was awful. read more

I randomly scheduled with Jessica and she was fantastic. I got a head massage and hand/arm massage, a great haircut and a $5 discount for scheduling online. Asked for ash blonde highlights and they ended up toning my hair grey and completely uneven. They ended up redoing my hair a 2nd time since it looked so bad the first time and all the color they put over to fix the uneven parts has now washed out only 3 weeks later and my hair is about 3 different colors. I had a negative experience at this salon. I had some extensions blended that were not even, told they would be fixed at no cost, I was charged... I was made to go to the salon once, one stylist didn't feel comfortable fixing the extensions, went in a second time after the front desk lady made an appointment with the original stylist-Amy who refused to show her face or even apologize. A third stylist fixed my extensions, she was great, but I was surprised when I was charged after all of that and fixing a mistake that was not mine. I started going to Flirt after Dolce, first in Chandler then Scottsdale closed and I couldn't locate my stylist. I thought I found my new salon after the first few visits, but unfortunately every other time or so my stylist didn't listen, or simply didn't do a good job. I will not be going there again after Maddie did my cut. It took me months to grow out my layers and after showing her a picture and explaining my hair was this, I want it like this layering but longer, she did the exact same cut. I'll pay the money for a great cut and what I miss about my stylist Julia, who I saw for a few years, was that she simply loved what she did. She knew what was best for my hair and always helped me understand how to re-create my style at home. She listened well, gave me tips, and never ever rushed. read more

My cut from Michael was NOT a "precision" cut (and their website claims they do precision cuts), he actually told me it "didn't matter" if things weren't done perfectly, {in other words, forgot how he phrased it exactly}, because my hair has natural wave to it. He had an attitude too, I tried explaining what I wanted. He said he'd do it the way he wanted. I should have got up and left. Charm, friendliness and a good attitude goes a long way, which I did not receive. Although I dislike "hand massages", (it embarrasses me, it's too personal), I noticed it wasn't even offered to me. I was a client for 1 1/2 yrs. I went to see Maddie for my usual highlights and she did something different. It turned out super dark. She told me to trust her, wash it a couple times, and it would be fine. It wasn't. I called back in and asked for her to redo it and went in a few weeks later. (when she could finally fit my in) She admitted to me she had made mistake the first time. When I went to see the receptionist after, I was told it was $275 + tip. I was horrified and when I tried to ask if Maddie had not comped the highlight, I was told she had given me a discount. I paid and left. When I called back in later to give Maddie a chance to make it right, she was short with me and made it clear I should've come in sooner and she would give me a free haircut in the future. I tried to tell her that was the soonest they would fit me in, and she didn't want to hear it. I am sick to my stomach over it and any other salon would've fixed their mistake. SAVE YOUR FACE. This is by far, the WORST salon I have ever went to. They are mean, uneducated, liars, and con artists. I booked a appointment online with Aria. I was worried about price as I am going through a really rough time with my budget due to my moms chemo. I also just recently ended up in the ER with a split open forehead. I went to Flirt Salon to get some bangs as I was embarrassed by the huge scar on my head. I called to verify the prices 1.5 hours before showing up and was quoted $60 for a $45 toner, $15 eyebrow trim, and $20 bang trim- that is free...noting that as a new client I get the bang trim or a haircut for free according to their website. Their website clearly states the prices and coupons with no expectations other that they require you to be a new client. Great! I'm looking for a new permanent stylist, right? Wrong. When I arrive and sit down in the chair, I am told that toner is $65, bang trim is $10 and eyebrows are $15. They are 1 for 3. The only thing that was correct was the eyebrow wax (I thought). I asked to speak to a manager and she was awful and rude. She said not only was the website "wrong" but that I couldn't use the free trim on a toner service. Note, I was told I could use this as toner is under hair color services just as the coupon states. We go back and forth and the manager just walks away. Aria keeps stating that she agrees management is wrong and she agrees with me, yet when I get to the checkout I am charged $20 for the eyebrow wax instead of $15. Everything was awful. Now, I am left with stinging eyebrows (because she burnt my lid) and little money in my pocket for my mom. Not only was I treated with disrespect, I was lied to right in front of my face 3 times. Once on the phone, once in the chair and then at the receptionist. They had no empathy and didn't act like women. If you respect yourself and other women and do not want to be disrespected and lied to, do not go here. read more

Before this date We actually went to two other Salons to check pricing and the experience of the stylist, and so we decided to go with Flirt Salon But I must say the Biggest Regret Ever!!!!..so On 01/07/2021 I took my daughter for 2 color as well as one of the colors would be like high lights, and trim of her bangs and a hair cut, well they told us it would be about $ 359.28 ok no problem!... so her hair was bleached and then Michael the hair stylist said that it may take a couple of times to get it right because he had to do a color correction by bleaching it; so he did that then the Purple is the base and Blue color but, her high Lights don't look like high Lights!, also he trimmed her bangs and they don't look even, so after paying $ 359.28 every day after that her color purple kept rubbing off on her neck and the sides of her face and her ears were so full of purple color I had to wipe it off every day!..I washed her hair with cold water as told and then a second time and I will post pictures too, so after 4 days I called the Salon to ask for a Refund and finally after leaving a message and an email the owner calls me and We were in the car at the time so she is on the car speaker and my daughter heard the whole conversation specially when the Owner was talking over me because I told her that that was not a professional job that her stylist did so of course she was mad! And she was telling me well!...Actually yelling at me that my daughters hair was damaged when in fact it's not! and also she was yelling at me saying Oh! WE FELT BAD FOR YOUR DAUGHTER !... I don't see how since Michael the stylist charged me $ 359.28 and twice she said, no I'm sorry she was again "yelling!" at me that the conversation was being recorded I said I'm ok with it, like I should be careful or something I'm actually glad that she was recording but, she is so "Rude No Class Nor Manners whatsoever!" and should take classes on how to treat paying customers the fact that my daughter was in the car and heard this woman say that they felt bad for her, so at this point I'm mad but, I guess she doesn't have kids and well I do and it made me angry but, I actually hang up before I said anything I would regret. I honestly never been treated this bad in my life all I want is my $359.28 because it wasn't done by professionals and no one deserves to be treated like this!... I was reading the other reviews I guess we are not the only ones that feel like this .. she should be ashamed of her self for saying mean words like that to a young lady like my daughter. This was a gift for my daughters 23rd birthday and unfortunately this was ruined by the owner of Flirt Salon when my daughter heard her say that they felt bad for her like they did her a favor when in fact paying her stylist $359.28 it's not feeling bad for any one! she feels so bad just Refund my money !..These people are thieves!!! read more

Not sure what is going on at Flirt. They were voted in as one of the Valleys beat just a few years ago. For 7 or so years, I had an amazing stylist who listened, was timely and very professional. Lately, however, even with an appointment, my wait times is at least 15 minutes, staff call in, don't listen, are inexperienced and there seems to be lots of turnover. I went here cause it says free haircut with color services but i ended up paying more than a lot of other good rated salons and even one that a friend had recommended just cause i thought I'll save at least on the haircut if i go here. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR PRICES ONLINE. it says that the color should have been 90+/-. They actually charged me $195 +haircut (free). So next time i go it'll be 250. I understand every situation and hair is different and there will be some discrepancy in how they quote but not so much!! And not for somebody who has absolutely easy hair to work with. (Straight, untangled and medium length). And in the end it was unclear to even the receptionist/cashier how this is coming out to be so expensive. Until she gets on the phone and speaks to somebody and then all of a sudden she's like- oh ya i misquoted. This is how much it is and in fact you're getting a cheaper deal. Really? $250 is the cheaper deal for a haircut and color? And with a newer less experienced stylist. I may be new to this but I am not naive! I really enjoyed the experience , the stylist and the haircut and I would have been so happy with this if only it didn't end with this experience with the money. And as a student and first timer it matters to me. If you want to be a more expensive salon then say that upfront! Don't lure ppl in with showing reasonable prices and then end up doing this! read more

This was the first time I was going to get a basic hair gloss from this salon. I had a 10AM appointment and arrived beforehand as you should typically do before your first appointment. After sitting and waiting for 20 mins, I learned my stylist didn't even look to see he had an appointment at 10 and would arrive an hour late. I was not going to be compensated in any way, other than what was already given to new clients. So unimpressed, I was not going to pay $120 for that. read more

I'm still extremely disappointed and upset that Amy ruined my hair. I had extensions put in and without asking me first, she used a razor to blend the extension in with my hair. I spent years growing it out and had to cut 8 inches off and it's still shredded and looks terrible a year out. She wasn't even apologetic. Horrible!! read more

I have been going to Flirt Salon for a few years. Due to my original stylist leaving (and then returning) I have been going to Melissa for over a year and she's great. I decided to stay with Melissa rather than go back to my original stylist because she listens to me, tells me if I'm being unrealistic with my hair expectations.. lol and works with me to achieve a look I can love with a style my hair will actually do. (It's fine and thin) Melissa gets me to thinking out of my comfort zone, which I needed and she's great at showing me how to style once I leave the shop. I drive an hour each way for my appointments because she's worth it. read more

DONT GO HERE. I went in for a consultation last week and showed a stylist there my hair color and shared what my goal was. She advised me that I couldn't achieve the silver I wanted without damaging my hair, so I told her I'd pass on silver and made an appt for the following Monday to do a more gradually blended balayage- which she said she could do. I go in today, and her answer to every question/suggestion I had was "I can't guarantee that", "I'll get it as close as possible", "There's no way to know", etc. I mean, can you do it or not?!?! All her answers were so vague to cover her ass and gave me NO confidence in her ability! Then to make things worse, she brings a waiver for me to sign, stating they weren't responsible for basically messing up my hair if that were to happen. I've never EVER had to sign a waiver at a hair salon, but the fact that they require one makes me doubt their competency. The stylist- who, just last week, after seeing my hair and talking with me and booked me- then tells me that I should reschedule with their balayage specialist. Why didn't she just do that LAST WEEK when I came in and she saw my hair???? In any case, they did not give me- a new customer- any confidence whatsoever in their ability to do hair and their whole waiver BS was a total turn-off. Ladies, don't go to salons that require you to sign documents stating they aren't responsible if and when they screw up your hair. read more

Horrible experience! Originally I walked in and was given AnnMarie... I notice there are no reviews about her because she doesn't know how to colour or cut hair! She was pushy on selling a keratin treatment for 350.00 to help my hair grow.. My hair was long to begin with before AnnMarie gave me an uneven horrible cut.. I also told her no bleach and because she doesn't know colour she used bleach which ruined my hair! Everytime I came in 4x.. The price was different...last experience she refused to do my hair before a wedding because I asked her to fix her mistake.. She didn't feel comfortable! This is horrible salon... I've had nothing but great experiences here!!! The receptionists are helpful and patient with fickle (me) clients. I've had a couple different stylists do my hair- cuts and highlights. They've all done excellent work! They get what you mean when trying to describe what you want and are helpful when having a hard time deciding on details! I've never had the manager do my hair, but its clear that she runs a tight ship. All the ladies are experienced and talented and don't try to upsell a bunch of products! I've been going to this salon for 3years, Emily was my hair stylist she did a amazing job on highlights my hair always looked fabulous leaving the salon! But unfortunately she didn't work there anymore, so i was recommend by the receptionist to see "Cynthia"who is the stylist manager and was "great at doing highlights" so I excepted her offer and made my appointment with Cynthia, well this pinhead "Cynthia" literally messed up my hair! she has no experience in highlights and she did a horrible and disgusting job on my hair, she slapped the bleach on my hair and gave me a 2 minuet hair wash and she was done! because she had other customers, so I'm left with soaking wet orange hair! She's a clown who has no business working at a salon, this place lost my business because some pathetic idiot didn't know what she was doing in the first place!
