I had booked an appointment for a simple pixie cut. Price online showed $40 and up and with AI answering their phone it was impossible to get a price before arriving at the salon. I should have asked the price when I arrived, my bad. I was charged a whopping $79, the most I have ever paid for a quick/simple cut. I asked to have my hair thinned and textured as my hair is extremely thick but she only "tip cut" the ends of my hair. It is so heavy it doesn't hold its style. My cut was no different than if I had it done by most $35 salons. I recommend you find out how much they are going to charge before you get in the chair and that they can provide the service your hair and style need. I always wear a pixie cut so this appointment was not a style change. I will need to get another cut to thin my hair so it will hold a style. Within half an hour of leaving the salon it totally had no style. I am totally disappointed with this appointment and outcome. read more

My stylist - ignored my instructions and just gave me a very unprofessional unicorn horn which I had her remove. I reported to them the problem with the style they gave me and the fact that I was ignored and they did nothing. Very poor customer service. I was very clear about what direction I was going with my hair - it's going to take months to get back to where I was. Salon 27 is all style, no substance. There are better, less expensive establishments. Only come here if you don't have any taste or class but enjoy a superficial show around pretending you are going to a place that is high class with experienced and talented hairdresser stylists. read more

I can style my hair better at home. Hopefully they will let me return the products I bought because they did nothing to my hair. So my stylist (I only came here for her) is amazing Long story short no one told me they don't take cash, apparently it's in their emails I don't get and their text (I posted a screenshot, it's not) I was trying to pay and the owner came up yelling at me telling me he's going to call the police because I only had cash to pay with. I asked him why he was speaking to me like that and he said "because I'm the owner." He forced the receptionist (who clearly looked uncomfortable) to call the police on me, once he realized I didn't give a shit and I'll happily talk to them. WORST SALON EVER! charged me $316.00 without tip for highlights that were done incorrectly. Stylist, Alan, made every excuse known to man why I did not get the highlights I asked for, but rather, barely any highlights at all and hair is very dark with no highlights. Cut is eh, nothing to write home about. Owner offered to fix it, then said never mind and refunded my money. She Said "this isn't the right salon for you." What does that even mean? If she was referring to a salon where the customer actually gets what they pay for, yes, I suppose she's correct! Unbelievable! I don't usually write reviews, let alone bad ones, but I'm upset and disappointed with my hair and the situation following it. Leila cut my hair and permed it. I really enjoyed the service, but she was constantly asking Kara for direction which made me slightly hesitant but I decided to trust the process. The end result was really different from my inspiration but I was happy with it nonetheless and even more, to be honest. When I finally showered after waiting the whole 72 hours, the results were lackluster. The curls were alright, but I thought maybe I did something wrong after putting on product and drying my hair. What concerned me the most though was what happened the next day. My hair was barely curly afterwards and it looked like my perm straightened out overnight. I thought maybe it was me and waited a full week of trying different things until I finally decided to muster up the courage and call the salon for a possible partial refund. They decided on having another appointment so they could "educate me" on how to style my hair with the perm. I let them know my complaints and said my hair wasn't really holding the perm. The owner was there and it felt really combative and like they were trying to shift blame onto me by saying they told me the perm would drop, but what I didn't expect and what they didn't tell me was that it would drop so drastically the next day. I know everyone's hair is different and maybe it's just my hair that dropped so much in one night, but I wanted a perm so I didn't have to style my hair. I wanted a perm for convenience, but what I got was a perm that I have to resuscitate every morning with loads of product. Per Leila, after waking up in the morning, I would have to soak my hair until it's about 50% wet with the product then dry it again. Every. Time. Just to get my hair curly again. They said their salon is more of a collaborative salon where hairstylists will consult with each other but honestly I was just feeling overwhelmed and outnumbered. It felt like they had multiple people as a cya if people didn't like their haircut or something. So if someone wanted to come back to complain, they can tag team them. Maybe that's not their intention but that's how I felt about it. The people I talked to were the owner and Leila (they told me they would have included Kara if she was in that day), this other hairstylist who had his hair permed by Leila so he can tell me his experience with his perm, and this other guy came over, I don't exactly remember why he came over but the owner introduced him and he kinda just left afterwards, no words were really exchanged between us so I don't know why she brought him over. Thankfully my sister showed up later. She came in hot and was mad on my behalf asking the questions I didn't really want to ask because I was there trying to stay on good terms because I really did enjoy the service, just not the outcome. My sisters and I all got our haircuts done together for a sister's day, so she knew the situation. As much as I wasn't happy with my hair, I didn't want to be harsh or anything since they were super nice during the service (and I'm not really combative), so my sister showing up was really relieving and helped me feel less outnumbered. I left with a good impression of the salon the day my hair was done but the way they dealt with this problem afterwards was just disappointing. I was told I would get a call in two days. They called and unfortunately I missed it but I called them back that same day and was told the owner was out and would give me a call back or her email so we can talk about how I'm feeling. It's been a week and I've gotten nothing. I'm upset, I'm disappointed and I'm not happy with my hair. I just want a partial refund, I feel bad for asking for it, but I'm really unhappy with my hair. But they'll probably just avoid it like they did when I asked them at the salon and when I tried to call them back. Honestly, I liked the service they provided while I was there, but I feel like there was a huge miscommunication regarding how drastically the curl would drop after the 72 hours because now with the end results what they are, I have to gaslight myself into thinking this perm is great and that I like it. $700+ gone. If you want a perm so you don't have to style your hair every day like me, go somewhere else. Search up digital perms, those are great, can't go wrong with a digital perm. I made the mistake of trying a different perm style (they use curl cult) and I regret it. Now I have to save up another $700+ and wait for my hair to grow out so I can get it done somewhere else with an end result I'll actually like. read more

My daughter went for a consultation ( paid ) that should have been the first clue, second they made her come back and put down a partial payment ( third clue ) during the color process charged her another 117 dollars for extra color!!! and this is what she is left with, DEVASTATING to say the least. The owner tried to tell us that color is a journey, well no one signed up for this adventure, $550 later and she had to correct this at another Salon for another $500!!!!! No refund, just wanted her to keep on coming back so they can practice some more on her. Do not put your hair through this, her hair is fried beyond believe. If Carly wasn't up to the color I would think this would come up during the hour $50 consultation?????? Lesson learned but a hard one to swallow still. This was by far the worst hair cut I've had in a very long time. It was choppy, uneven and somehow a 2" trim turned into 4"! I waited a while for my hair to get a little longer so I could get a nice cut. I am currently in cancer treatment. This cut will take so long to grow out enough to be 'fixed'! They did call and ask if I wanted to come in and they would 'fix' the cut. I said No because I don't want it any shorter! And I don't trust them at this point. I walked into this salon nervous and hating how I looked. I had gone to Posh salon a month prior and had my hair just torn up and walked away with a bitter taste in my mouth. Shalai look my mess with open arms and performed a miracle! She laid out the law of the land right away and let me know what to expect and wha that gameplan was, which made me feel a lot more relaxed. As the process continued, she would stop and talk to me about what she was doing and what my hair was doing! I walked away adoring how I looked and feeling so excited about my future appointments. If anyone is looking for a new home salon, this is it! In regards to COVID, they're sanitizing everything constantly, masks are required for all workers and customers, and there's hand sanitizer everywhere. They even checked my temperature at the door!! Yikes, unfortunately I have to update my review and although its been a few months I think it is very necessary as it cause all lot of stress for me. When i did my first review I came in for a haircut and everything seemed great! My stylist and I came up with a game plan to get my hair were I would like. When I checked out I SCHEDULED the appointments, some which where scheduled into the new year. I believe my original appointment for the big color service was in January or February but I rescheduled to March. In between the cut and my scheduled appointment i went in for a color removal treatment. I was told i was getting two of them that day. Well when I came in for my color removal appointment she told me she only had time for 1. (Weird cause my appointment for 2 was booked way in advance). Fast forward to a week before my color correction and i walk in to pay my deposit. (My sisters also bought me gift certificates for Christmas because they knew how excited i was to get my hair done)! I get there and the amount changed.... I was so confused. I asked why, they told me my stylist was promoted and as the first of the first of the year the salon prices went up. i NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING ABOUT THE SALON OR MY STYLIST PRICES!! They didnt say anything KNOWING my appointments where in the new year. They didnt say anything when I went in for my color removal, when leaving i even DOUBLE CHECKED the color correction appointment total amount and was STILL NOT TOLD! I was so so upset i waited so long for this appointment to be smacked in the face with a change. No one was willing to correct this issue! The manager just try to down play me as if i couldnt afford it i can get a different stylist at a lower level, that i should have looked on their website before my appointment to see any changes (which clients should not be responsible for), they also said I received an email with the changes which is also false. This left a HORRIBLE impression. The lack of customer service and care for the clients they misinformed is awful. Im so happy i found a different stylist, and she is amazing snd did everything i wanted in ONE sitting and my hair is beautiful!!! read more

The stylist were good. Staff was rude. We had a misunderstanding about my appointment time. I scrambled from work (I'm extremely busy, this was middle of the afternoon) to make my appointment on time. What I had in my schedule was 3:15. It was actually 3:00 according to them. The girl at the desk said sorry if you had been 3 min earlier we could have got you in. I left my company and my afternoon to get there. Every appointment I had over the year plus I was going there I was early. Every time I waited for them to be ready. No big deal. I always tipped 25-30%. I The one time i was late they wouldn't get me in. I told them I wouldn't be back. My wife called to talk with them and they said don't worry we have already deleted him from our system. I wouldn't recommend this place. Plenty of places that appreciate good clients and the business. read more

Kalli took the time to ask questions to make sure I was able to get the desired color. I chose an all over color since I wanted something without expensive upkeep. She was social and took her time to make such my color turned out as planned. The end result was fantastic and I purchased the Dallas volumizer, one of the products used on my hair during styling. This product, along with mousse and a big round brush help me achieve better volume when I wear my hair down. I'm thankful to Kalli who helped show me how to give my flat hair some life again. I was so happy to have found a great colorist, especially after my last salon visit (in a different CA salon) was less than great.
