The worse haircut ever. Asked for short bob, he shaved the back of my hair past my neck. Looks like a mushroom. Hair growth where shaved very ugly and will continue to be as it grows out. With tip it was $84. Why did I tip, thought it was okay until I got home. read more

I Approached the door of this Establishment to inquire if they excepted Walk-in customers. As I was waiting for my wife to finish parking the car a Male Stylist approached the Door and Locked it. Being a Black Man this Instantly conjured images of Jim Crow for Me. As an Elderly White Woman Gazed at Me through the Window from the Stylists chair. 2026 or 1946? Never Again Would I Approach the Door of this Establishment. read more

Husband and wife team of extreme rudeness. My wife was traumatized by their treatment.

Best hair salon experience, consistently for years! They always provide top-notch service.

I felt like a Number instead of a valued customer when I went there. After the second time going there and Sadie jumping from customer to customer. I stopped going there. read more

Sadie is definitely a master stylist. She listens, offers suggestions and her expertise with highlights and cutting are superb. I travel from Denver to Phoenix because I know she really cares about each of her clients. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now. Why I haven't rated is beyond me. Oh how I love it here. From the minute you walk in.... From the minute you leave....you are treated so great!! Sadie and Ronaldo are both such talented stylists. I've watched the transformations each time I have been there!! ( including myself). I love that each person is treated as if they are the only client! So special. So rare anymore!! The salon is beautiful. Inviting. Being asked if you would like a drink or snack while there. Incredible. If you are in doubt... don't be. Go in. You will be hooked. And a client for life!! I have been to many a stylist in my 60 years. I have found my people!! read more

Dolly did an amazing job highly recommended. I've never had such an amazing trim :) still loving the hair and very affordable. read more

I've searched forrverrrrr to find a salon I can commit to as my permanent place. I mean forever. My mom was an amazing hairstylist and the only one to touch my hair my entire life. Needless to say I'm very picky since losing her years ago. I also feel I have challenging hair to deal with. It takes an expert. I've had so many bad experiences with stylists who just don't have the experience and extensive training and talent that I was used to. Well.... The search is finally over. I went in on Valentine's Day to treat myself to new hair so I could feel good when going out that night. And W O W!!!! Sadie and Ronaldo have my hair looking better than it has in years. Not only did I leave feeling "good", I left feeling absolutely beautiful and it's been awhile since I've felt like that. It's been almost two weeks and I haven't been disappointed or found anything wrong with my hair. Sometimes you leave a salon happy but later realize your hair is damaged your cut is not so great. Nope. Not at Union Hair Co. My hair looks and feels as good as it did when I left the salon. My blonde is beautifully vibrant and has zero damage (thank you, Sadie) and my cut is absolute perfection as well (thank you Ronaldo). I know my mom is looking down smiling proudly that her baby girl found someone (well two people!) that knows what they're doing!!! Thank you both sooooo much! You've given me a confidence in myself that has been missing for a long time. People underestimate the difference hair makes in how you look and feel. Also, I must add I didn't have sticker shock or buyer's remorse after paying. The price was really reasonable and a great value. I actually had money left over to buy their in-house products they make themselves- which I might add are also amazing and a great value for the price. Added bonus: they let me know they had them but there was zero pressure to buy anything, unlike most salons. One more thing- I was in and out faster than I imagined. Not that they didn't take their time (I wasn't rushed or anything), but because they truly know what they're doing, whereas other places I've been took up my whole day trying to get my hair right. Oh- and the shampoo girl gave the most relaxing treatment when washing my color out. I nearly fell asleep.... Ultimately , as you can tell, I'm beyond satisfied in every way possible. I wish I could give 10 stars!!! read more

Sadie and Ronaldo are the Best. Helped me with color ideas and styling. Feel like a new person. Thanks!!

This is a great salon! It was recommended to me but a neighbor and I gave it a shot. I'm so thankful for the recommendation. I've been going to Sadie for over a year now and am so happy with my hair every time. She is great with color and has a very good understanding of hair, what will work with different textures and thickness. She is fantastic! The Salon itself is very calming and posh at the same time, but not pretentious. It's always very clean and the products they use are high end. It is a nice escape from the busy world we live in. I highly recommend it to everyone I know. read more

If I could give this review more stars, I would. I went in for the first time, boldly going for a cut and color. I was blown away by the quality of care and generosity they have for their customers, as well as the precision and attention that everyone has in all they do. Sadie listened to all my requests about the tint of my hair, and Chanel made sure I was comfortable all throughout my appointment. I had the most wonderful shampoo of my life, I almost fell asleep lol. Ronaldo was efficient and kind, giving me tips on how to style my hair the way I liked. All of this was done within 90 minutes, and came out to less than $100 for everything. Thank you guys for changing my hair salon experience for the better, I am stunned. My hair looks incredible and I cannot stop raving. read more

This duo is the real deal. Beautiful shop, colorist is seriously good like probably has awards she's being modest about and not telling the world how amazingly gifted she is. Don't just go for color, my hair cut was also perfectly done and he made sure it was cut in a manner in which it will grow out evenly. 100% happy customer who will be returning for more! Tell your friends and get over to this uptown on central salon, it is SO worth it! read more

A friend recommended this salon a few years ago, and I have been going ever since. I love Sadie and I love the way she does my hair. She is absolutely fantastic. The salon is beautiful and everyone there is wonderful. If you are looking for a modern salon, look no more! read more

The owner cut my hair and completely ignored my request for a French bob. Instead I left looking like a Karen with a stacked a-line bob that I had to cut myself when I got home. So ugly. I also asked for a piece to be left long which he also ignored. Don't go here unless you want a stacked bob because apparently no matter what you ask for that is what you will leave with read more

Just got a great haircut at this new salon. Sadie listened well to my hair care practices and designed the best cut I have had in ages! I'm confident I can do this style by myself. So glad Union Hair Co. opened. I'll be getting my hair cut here in the future. read more

Like Sue S., I am wondering why I haven't posted a review long ago. Ronaldo has been cutting my hair for over20 years, first at Vidal Sassoon, now at his salon on North Central. I drive from Ahwatukee to north central Phoenix for a haircut and do so happily. I'm often told I have "such good hair," and I always say i have very difficult hair (cowlicks, wavy here, straight there, etc.) but I have a great haircut. Sadie and Ronaldo are highly trained and have years of experience. I doubt there's a more talented team of hair stylists anywhere else in this city. read more

I don't know if I can do justice to Union Hair Co in the form of a review, but I have never found a place that I've enjoyed to this extent. I have been going to Union Hair for over a year now and have been overly impressed with their technique, hospitality, skills, knowledge, and wonderful atmosphere. It is a very welcoming lovely space that makes you want to just hang out before and after your service is complete. Everyone is so friendly, kind, and attentive to my requests. They acknowledge my concerns and have happily made my requests happen. They are focused on caring for the client and they make me want to come back time and time again. Cheers to amazing, local, talented people bringing their gifts to Sunnyslope! read more

I really wanted to like this place. The stylist was very funny. The salon itself is beautiful, but I got another uneven haircut. This is my 3rd salon in Central Phoenix. I dont really want to put them on blast as I DO try to support local shops, but if I dont start leaving reviews, these salons will continue to collect $70 for a haircut I could have gotten at a chop shop. My bad for not stopping her when she told her majority of experience was teaching. read more

Absolutely love my hair cut and style by Ronaldo. The salon responded to my online appointment request timely, scheduling the free consultation was a breeze. Ronaldo, owner, is soft spoken, down to earth, and a master in his craft. I described that I wanted a cut that is lively, and when I got home my husband said "wow your hair looks lively". So 10 OUT of 10, Ronaldo delivered exactly what I wanted and needed. The cost was unbelievably reasonable, and just as listed on their website. The shop is sophisticated, airy, and artsy. Everyone there are professional and pays attention to their customers needs. After 3 years of searching the Valley, I've finally found my salon. read more

Wow! Sadie's husband is so rude! He has been rude to me several times and I just let it go. Not anymore. I got on with Sadie so well. The cuts were uneven but correctable longer on one side crooked in the front. One brow trimmed. Her husband needs to stay in the back and learn some manners. He could lose about 75. He's too short to be that fat unless he's going for the Danny DeVito. Danny has a better hair cut and that's bad for a person in the stylist biz. Go somewhere else. I don't like to trash a place but 3 times in a row gives me the right. He is rude to help too. He bumped an employee out of the way once and he puts his hand on them too. I think that is so rude and degrading to women to touch them when speaking to them. Don't help a business that is rude to women. It's wrong. read more

First visit and haircut today. I have been in search of a hair salon that felt welcoming. I have found it. Sadie and Ronaldo, owners, are very congenial, fun and open. Sadie cut my hair and she took her time to understand my needs/wants. I have hair that was way too long (almost to my waist in the back) and needed to be cut. She did an excellent job of layering my hair and she cut my bangs, the best anyone has ever cut them. I asked for choppy, uneven, edgy. No one ever understands what I mean. Sadie did! YAY! I look forward to a new haircutting adventure with her during future visits. The look of the salon felt very New York, cool, sophisticated and still welcoming. Price was perfect. read more

My new go-to place. Claire is amazing - would definitely recommend her specifically!!! Very clean salon, relaxing atmosphere and Claire is so personable and very detail oriented. Listened to exactly what I wanted and always made sure I was comfortable. My hair turned out great, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely coming back to see her! read more

Well, what a surprise to me! I just went to Union Hair, because Sadie knows how to make my hair look it's best--and Union Hair is gone! No note on door to tell me where to find them, just note that the gallery next door has taken the space---very sad! My hair is missing them! Next day....... WELL TO ANOTHER SURPRISE, BUT VERY GOOD ONE, I GOT IN TOUCH WITH ONE OF THE OWNERS AND HE WAS JUST RUNNING ERRANDS AND THEY ARE THERE IN FULL SWING! SORRY FOR MY JUMPING TO WRONG CONCLUSIONS!!!!!!! Sadie also messaged me that they are there, and never were gone! read more

After having such a rough start to my week, because I impulsively tried dyeing my own hair, I came to see Sadie and she easily told me what she could do to solve the problem. With my hair health in mind, the hair dresser treated my whole head with a new color and it came out looking great. DON'T try todo your own hair color at home, I could just have easily came to Union Hair first, without all my fellow peers making fun of my hair first. Additionally, the cost was way below other hair salons for dyeing all my hair! If you just need a color, or you got stuck in the same situation, go to Union Hair! read more

I just left this place an hour ago, feeling like a supermodel. I came in with an inch of grey roots and long hair - way overdue for cut and color. I left with exactly the color I wanted (this never happens to me, I almost always end up with too dark of a brown which is not flattering on me) and a cut that I absolutely love. The owners are extremely friendly, the location is convenient to my house, and I will definitely be back. The assistant did a great job rinsing my hair, taking care to remove color stains around my face and back of neck, even wiping behind my ears - if you've ever left a salon with hair color goop behind your ear, you'll know what I mean. I highly recommend! read more

Sadie and Ronaldo are awesome. They've been doing my hair for about 15-16 years. I trust no one else

Skilled is an understatement. Sadie and Ronaldo are top of the line for custom, stylish cuts.

Love this salon!! Absolutely exceptional customer service. The owners have formulated their own line of organic hair products! (Take a look at the labels on the products your hairdresser uses for enlightening insight into the amount of chemicals being absorbed into your body through your scalp!) They listen carefully, make creative suggestions, and collaboratively produce the cut that feels "right" to you. I've left salons with my bangs too short or the final style kind of goofy looking - & had to run home to re-style my hair so I felt presentable. Not this time!! My hair looked perfect when Ronaldo finished!! Print out the coupon I'm posting in the pictures section & get 50% off your first visit & tell them Bonnie sent you!! read more

This place is just a pleasure to go to. It's beautiful inside and spotlessly clean. They always have complimentary treats and water. Sadie, the owner and stylist, is so kind and really listened to and understood what I was after. She didn't try to up sell me on products or treatments. The prices are very reasonable also. I highly recommend this salon. Her husband is the other owner and also a wonderful stylist. He's cut my daughter's hair before. They are from NYC and are very up to date with trends and styles. read more

Sadie and Ronaldo are great. They are super accommodating and the price is so reasonable!

Sadie and Renaldo are two talented stylists that understand our cult-like obsession with our hair. How it looks affects how we feel. Not to sound shallow, but a good hairstyle + haircut + haircolor = a good day! read more

My mom decided to check out Union Hair Co earlier this week for a full highlight and a cut, and I cannot begin to express how thrilled she was with the results! Ronaldo and his wife did a phenomenal job, and knew exactly what she hoping for, and then some, during the consultation. The stylists are highly skilled, and I would trust them with any style someone is looking for! They were also incredibly kind, but ultimately, I am just blown away with the results. By far, the most beautiful full highlight received. Thank you so much, Union Hair! We look forward to seeing you again! read more

My teenager has made her own appointments for prom hair, haircut and now color. Claire has been wonderful each and every time. She greets my daughter by name and listens to her. She has worked to please and accommodate. I am so glad we found her. I love the respect she shows a teenager. As my daughter is spending her own money on services I appreciate her voice being heard. Keep up the fantastic customer service Claire. You have a loyal customer with many years ahead of her! read more

I had a great experience here and love my cut and color. They really know how to make you feel pampered!

I highly recommend this place!! I went to a hair salon located in Uptown Plaza for years. Unfortunately, that salon moved. So, I decided to try a new salon in Central Phoenix, Union Hair Company. This salon is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very friendly. I met with Ronaldo. He did an absolutely amazing cut, style and blow dry. I think I've found my new salon in Central Phoenix. I will definitely be going back!! read more
