Travis and Eri are both amazing. They work quickly and make waxing as painless as possible. It's also fairly easy to get a last minute appointment in. read more

It was my very first time being waxed and Travis did a superb job.

Eri is awesome. I'd highly recommend her for a Brazilian wax. They have both soft and hard wax, but she'll give a good recommendation as which wax would be best used on specific areas. Everyone is super friendly and professional. I would say this place is tricky to find, it's on the corner of 11th between Pine and Pike, which isn't accurate in the map. The entrance is off 11th, you need to go down the stairs and all the way down the hall to the right. Yelp needs to update this. read more

One of my favorite places to get my wax on! Travis is a doll. I love his conversation and technique. The space is on capital hill and yet it is surprisingly easy to find parking. The atmosphere of the spa is really peaceful and pleasant. They have really cute man panties of you like that sort of thing (which I do). And there is also a really lovely light room/sauna that is so nice and warm to sit in before you get a facial. Truly relaxing and soothing. read more

In my five years of getting Brazillians, I can say that Travis was the only one that didn't hurt. Yes, of course, you feel it, but somehow, he is able to distract you, be quick and pull in the right direction and assess which parts of you get cold wax, which get hot, and it all works out. MUCH better than the supposed experts at Wax On Salon. read more

Great first time experience with Travis!! I have to say getting waxed is a terrifying experience, but Travis was able to make the whole experience very tolerable. Repeat customer for sure! read more

Oh my goodness! So many things I loved about my experience at Salon Dewi! First of all, I was able to get a same-day appointment with Eri, which I was really not expecting. The salon was a little difficult to find, but Eri gave me great directions, thank goodness! The salon was clean, Eri was so sweet, and it's probably the most THOROUGH wax of my life. I'll be back for sure!!! read more

Ok. Gulp. This is my first Yelp review and it is about a very personal subject. Let's just say that I would not be writing this review if my experience wasn't so AMAZING. This is going to be long and personal so buckle up, folks. First off, like another Yelper mentioned, I never thought I would get my lady parts waxed by a GUY...In fact, I had a bad experience with some waxing awhile back that made me swear off the procedure entirely. We all know that it's a painful process, but in my case I almost had to go to the emergency room and get stitches in my vajay. I do still get my eyebrows done though, and that's all I had planned to do at Salon Dewi that day. First off, the location is difficult to find, but once you get inside, it's like being in a magical underground world where beauty is created. The whole salon is gorgeous, and Travis patiently put me at ease by answering all my questions about everything in the shop before I even went in the waxing room. And I do mean everything... Where did you get this? Where did you get that? Did you make this yourself? What is THAT thing that looks like a giant handbag? ( it's a temple bell). If Travis wasn't such a great waxing specialist, he could be a great interior designer too, but that's beside the point. The point is that he is just such a naturally open and honest person that I fessed up to him about my past waxing injury, and he was so professional about it, that he wasn't even horrified. He knew exactly what they had done wrong, (which was to use the wrong type of wax, and that the waxer probably hadn't been trained properly) and he explained it to me and told me how it should have been done correctly. After he waxed my brows, which was the least amount of pain I have ever had with a brow wax, he also colored them a little bit to make them look better, because they are pale. I don't know how he managed it, but there was no redness like I usually have after a brow wax either. Then, he asked me if I wanted to let him see what was going on downstairs. I was still hesitant, and very self conscious because I hadn't planned for a downstairs wax. But, I knew in my heart that I really should do something about the grooming situation, so after a few more questions that Travis answered very professionally and honestly, I decided to go for it, since the brow wax had gone so well. After he left the room so that I could prepare, I almost chickened out again, but I had heard that Travis was the best at this so I decided that it was now or never. Since I've already written a novel, I'll try to wrap it up by saying that I don't ever think that Brazilian waxing can be pleasant or painless. There was still pain involved, and of course I felt extremely awkward at first, but Travis was quick, and professional, and totally put me at ease so much that I was actually laughing through my pain by the time it was all over. Then he gave me a nice comforting hot towel to clean up with, and the worst part was over. The pain dissipated very quickly afterwards with no bad after effects, and Travis also set me up with some "no bump" solution which is working very well 2 weeks later. By the way, I am from San Diego and I was on vacation when all this went down. Now I don't know what to do without him. I guess I will be racking up some Southwest points unless he opens up a place closer to my home, because he is the ONLY person who is going to wax my lady parts after this. read more

One of my best waxing experiences so far. Eri is a true professional! I trust her technique and attention to detail. Very clean and relaxing setup. We went as a couple and got back to back appointments reserved the day of. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Marie's my new girl and she pretty much kicks ass! She is super funny and makes you feel so comfortable you can almost forget you're laying there half naked. I also think she does a better job than my previous waxer, who left Salon Dewi about 6 months ago. read more

I've been going to Travis for a few years now & am always a happy customer. The spa is very inviting with a calming atmosphere, candles, Buddha statues & relaxing music. Travis is a fabulous esthetician, he's gentle & uses products that are great for my sensitive skin. He's thoughtful & listens to my skin concerns to evaluate the best products to use & gives me instructions for at home care. He's had this business for over 10 years (through a few moves) & has a great reputation. They have a website where you can book appointments online instantly, it's super convenient when I don't want to play phone tag. But when I do call & leave a message, Travis is quick to call back & is super accommodating when I have to make changes. Salon Dewi is inviting & always a relaxing experience that's on my regular go to list. read more

I've been getting waxed for many years, but have never had an esthetician worthy of being my one and only. I would go to whatever salon could fit me in that day. That is how I found Salon Dewi. My brows were turning into caterpillars and I needed an appointment, stat. They fit me right in 2 hours after my call. I've never had a better experience. Marie, esthetician extraordinaire, gave me the most professional wax job I've ever had. She got in there with a surgical lamp, made sure every last stubborn hair was gone. I was talking to her about my horror experience of ending up with a pimple mustache after an upper-lip wax a few months ago, and she just said "trust me... let's do it." She used a different type of wax (I had no idea there were different types of wax), and she was right. My eyebrows look great, my upperlip is smooth and pimple-free. I was only red for about an hour after the wax. I won't even experiment with other salons now, Salon Dewi is SO great. read more

Eri is my gal for waxing and facials. She is so thorough and professional while also personable and kind. I always leave feeling refreshed and pampered. Thanks also to Travis for creating a warm, friendly, cushy environment. You keep me coming back as well!. I love these guys! read more

Needed an emergency eyebrow wax so I turned to Yelp for help. This place came up in the top 3 and I now know why!! Eri was FANTASTIC!! My brows have seriously never looked this good! She took such care, tweezing every last little hair, and was so nice. I told her I had a friend coming to town this weekend and she gave me some great suggestions for fun things to check out. Great service, really cute and cool space... There is no question I will be coming back here for all my waxing needs! read more

I love love love Eri. I have never had any waxing done other than my eyebrows. I was totally leery of having someone that up close and personal but a friend of mine suggested this place over a year ago and I've been hooked ever since. Eri was awesome. It's odd to think of having a good time when it comes to waxing, but it is comfortable and she is super easy and fun to talk to, and can almost make you forget whats happening. (Almost.) I have even started having her do my facials. So nice and stressless. I'm totally bringing my little sister here when she comes to visit. :) read more

Travis is incredible. I got a facial from him for the first time today. He did wonders on my face. Very thorough during extractions and was kind enough to explain each product in detail before applying it to my face. I swear by rice powder exfoliant after this experience. Oh and please don't forget to snuggle on your way out. Travis a loving character and says it makes his day. The least you could do is make his day after he totally made yours by hooking you up with a fresh face. read more

It was my first time in the shop & Travis was amazing with me. I did a brow & Brazilian wax. Brows were perfect! Brazilian was a new experience for me so I didn't know what to expect, but Travis really made me feel comfortable and did a great job. Will definitely return! read more

I have walked longingly by this Salon for three years. After realizing it can be tricky to schedule a Saturday massage in Seattle (many places are booked for months in advance), I decided on Salon Dewi. I chose the Hot Stone Massage with Tiana Joy. First of all the new space on 14th is gorgeous. Even the bathrooms are beautiful. My massage room was all purples and olive greens with red candles, bamboo (?) floors and yummy, soothing aromatherapy oils. Tiana is a pro and the entire experience was very positive for me. She worked on my shoulder stress knots and gave me some input about other muscular areas that need attention (very informative). The hot stones were amazing and they allow your body and muscles to really relax into deeper work. The back, hand and neck massage was especially wonderful. Prices are reasonable/standard for Seattle. read more

I love this place and I'm not a waxing girl. I like to do my own trimming of the verge, thank you. I come for Eri's facials, she's very gentle and very through. They have a cute little sauna you can sit in before you're scrubbed, the website is great and they do lots of fun seasonal specials and community type things (like the holiday food drive at present). A really nice balance of totally professional and not at all sterile or intimidating without going all over the top crunchy hippy on you. read more

Trust my brows to anyone other than Marie at Salon Dewi? NO THANKS! The entire staff at Salon Dewi is warm and inviting, striking up conversation as soon as I enter the doors...tea? water? Yes please! So thoughtful! I can always get same day appointments and no fuss parking on Capitol Hill. Marie does an amazing job on my damaged brows and is always full of tips, never condescending. I truly feel like she has my back in the beauty dept...I am a true believer! read more

Travis and Eri are THE BEST. Top notch. That is all. I don't trust anyone else with my eyebrows (not even myself!). They demonstrate such pride in their work, and I have yet to see a salon that takes more time and care with their clients. Plus, they are just cool people. You are in good hands, whatever service you are going in for. read more

LOVE this place. I've been trying to find a really good brow place here for 3 years and I think this is going to be it. I was able to make a same day appointment online, and Eri is amazing. Travis is excellent!! He got my eyebrows into shape quickly and cleanly, and even threw in a tinting to make them look even better- he just wouldn't have me looking anything less than perfect! :) I'm very happy with his service. The space is a little hard to find, but he knows that and gives you fair warning. I'm so happy with my "power brows". I got them just in time for an interview in Seattle - and I'm pretty sure they helped me land the job! ;) read more

I've had three Brazillians here so far and the jury is still out.... PROS: Parking is a huge plus Brazillians are QUICK and the staff is so friendly that it goes by fast The wax they use is different and I swear it hurts less CONS: They leave a lot of hair behind! When I go to Wax On I'm smooth smooth SMOOTH but at Salon Dewi I can still feel little hairs and usually have to follow up and pluck myself. For $70 that shouldn't be happening So, I'm torn. Yes, it hurts less but the tradeoff is an incomplete job. I think I'll head back to Wax On next time... read more

Eri is the best ever! I've been in Seattle for 4 years, tried several spa for waxing... Erin is the only one that make me come back twice. She works on week end, she is fast, funny and really listen to you. I LOVE the fact she give me at the end of the waxing a wet warm towel for me to get rid of the wax leftover (she is doing a good job as taking it off but for somebody picky like me... that is so nice). You can get your appointment by email, salon is clean and smell good. Prices are correct. read more

I went here to get my first ever eyebrow waxing and I loved the results. Travis set up an appointment for me the same day and also did my wax. The entrance was a bit hard to find, I ended up calling them while out front to find the right door. It is a side door on the south end of the building through the parking lot. It probably would have been easier to find if I had driven, but it's not a big deal. Travis was very easy to talk to. I wanted something clean and professional looking, no pencil thin lines or extreme arches, and he gave me exactly what I was looking for. Virtually no pain, and he put Neosporin on afterwards since it was my first wax, to help with any bumps (or something like that). I will definitely come back here! read more

SALON DEWI HAS REVOLUTIONIZED MY SKIN CARE/WAXING EXPERIENCE! I couldn't ask for a better and more precise, patient, and comfortable environment for Travis or Eri to casually pick at my ingrowns or wax the hair between my buttcrack. The salon ambiance is comfortable and calming, and all precautions are made to ensure that your skin is getting the treatment it needs. I finally found a salon that I can trust will leave my skin as hairless and irritant free as a girl could possibly dream. I recently went in for a bikini blast treatment with Travis, which in retrospect was probably the best 30 minutes my obnoxiously sensitive pubic area will ever experience in terms of eliminating my current ingrowns and prohibiting further ones. I'm definitely adding this treatment to my every-couple-month routine as it's proven itself to be well worth it. Overall I have nothing but glowing reviews of this place and would recommend it to anyone jonesing for a more hairless and smooth skinned lifestyle. read more

When I moved here 10 years ago from the East Coast I was worried about finding a decent waxing place. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I have been getting waxed by Eri for over 8 years and am so happy with the level of skill and service that she provides! I actually went to Eri first as a dare from my partner who didn't think I could handle the so called pain of a Brazilian wax. I told Eri it was my first time and she put me at ease and was delicate and professional. Yes, it wasn't a walk in the park, but no painful bumps or razor burn just pure smoothness! She is great at getting me in last minute before a trip to get be beach ready and candid enough to tell me that I have too many blackheads to be seen in public and need a cleansing facial. Check her out and I swear if you aren't happy your just a Seattle Freeze Clone! read more

Salon Dewi - Feeling amazing after a quick tint, wax and reshape with Travis! - Skin Care Near Me - Seattle, Washington

The Best Investment You Can Give to Your Body, Mind and Spirit! Travis is great at waxing every part of the body on women and men. He is the most comfortable person to be around and will bring out your everything beautiful. LET THIS MAN TINT & SHAPE YOUR EYEBROWS! You will be amazed how he will pull the most beauty and color out of your eyes and face in a matter of a few wax & tint minutes. A total steal for the price. You will be so happy you invested a few dollars in yourself and the results last insanely long. I met Travis the waxing diva many years ago. I needed a full body wax for a publicity shoot. He had been reviewed in The Stranger as the Zen master of waxing riding the top of the beauty zone. So I went for it. Results: AMAZING!! Never thought my body could look like that by simply getting rid of some fuzz and hair. Over the years it's been my pleasure to recommend Travis as I know 100% that you will get your money's worth and more, no matter how big or small the wax job. He tells it to you like it is, has impeccable taste, and a great color esthetic - well worth getting the tint job on those brows and lashes! If you've never had anything wax call ahead and talk with him or one of his associates. They help you plan your appointment to fit your needs & your bodies cycle so it's easiest on your skin. He also has an array of supplemental products available at the salon to aid in your beauty upkeep. They recently moved so be sure to get the new address - still on Capitol Hill. Can't recommend Travis and Salon Dewi enough. read more

True love. Such a wonderful place! And a space that welcomes, relaxes, soothes. Clean (*super clean*), calm, lovely feel to this hidden treasure in Seattle. In my experience, every major city has that one gem -- that ONE place where you should really go to get the best possible waxing/facial service -- and that space is never a large sterile salon with an army of employees. In my travels, It takes work to find it. I'm here to take the work out of it for you in Seattle. Go here. This is it. Don't be shy. Appointments online. Bonus! Did I mention clean?
