I've been to Star Threading 3 times so far, and I'm a happy customer. The owner is very skillful with the thread (I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years), and she is good at following instructions (e.g., not thinning my eyebrows too much). She's also professional and sweet. The first time I reached out to her through Yelp, she sent me her telephone number -- she always responds to an appointment request within 5-10 minutes, which I appreciate. read more

Absolutely not! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU'RE Purposely trying to mess yourself up! Worst experience ever! Between the cleanliness of the salon and the hygiene of the workers! The brush she used on my brows is supposed to be defined for precision! It looked like it was from the 99 cent store and put in a garbage disposal! I don't think anybody at this establishment even has a license to be doing what they're doing . They had a young lady in there that was by herself that had absolutely no idea. I literally had to do it myself. Then I went. Next Door went tanning came back in to ask for the manager phone number and to take pictures of the utensils that they use them and there was a nice elderly lady in there getting the same experience where she had to do it herself. It was so horrible. DO NOT GO!!! read more

I purchased an eyebrow threading membership here a few months back after moving into the area. The membership price is pretty expensive considering the threading job is mediocre. There was never a time where I was impressed with their work and everything always felt just OK. During my last visit, I was left with cuts. The only upside of this place is the location, but aside from that there is really nothing to write home about. Would only recommend if you are in a pinch. read more

I have to say so glad that helpers take the time to find these gems we might overlook. I just moved to the area & needed to thread my brows since they were definitely 2 different shapes. Jessie was really kind & took her time. I inquired about brow tinting and she was very honest. She pretty much stated she wanted to fix them first & see if it was necessary. After she hooked me up she told me I don't think you need it they are just fine. I appreciate her advice and love my brows that match now!!! I also bought a package for future use. I read more

She took her time and did a pretty good job. Slightly thinner than I prefer, but nice arch work. Would return and would recommend to others. Edited to add: I chose them because they had so many 5-star reviews. I didn't think it was 5-star service personally, but they reached out and requested me to amend from 4 to 5 stars. This makes me wonder how many of those 5-star reviews are genuine???? read more

Still speechless. Unbelievable. Little history...formerly I was a regular here when I lived in the area. Bought and used several packages to get my eyebrows bush whacked from time to time. Nothing to write home about ... but no complaints either. Got the job done and I thought I had a decent rapport with the owner operator... Then I moved far away from cap hill so I didn't go for several months...today, I was in the area so decided to hop in for a quick brow whack... I told her I was about to buy the Yelp deal and pay for that and then she stopped me and says that's only for waxing (nowhere on deal doesn't it say that. Says simply $10 for $20). While refusing to honor it , she also mutters that she'll take a few dollars off...I'm not thrilled but i don't fight her. A single eyebrow session was 16 bucks which the ten dollar Yelp deal would have covered. (With 4 bucks left to spare). Imagine my shock when I went to pay (using Apple Pay mind you ) and she had charged me $17!!! Not only did she not, knock off "a few dollars," she added a charge for a "transaction fee." So instead of paying $10 as would have been the case if she honored the Yelp deal, I paid nearly $20. AND she didn't even wipe my brows off with rose water or anything (I was picking random eyebrow hairs off my face for rest of afternoon) I'll never go back and I highly recommend looking elsewhere as she clearly doesn't value her customers nor business ethics. Shocked and chagrined ! Adding insult to injury read more

A great spot for threading in Cap Hill -- they took me as a walk-in appointment and they have a monthly package for brows, which I got. I'm always nervous about salons doing my brows too thin, as that's happened in the past BUT that was not an issue here at all. They shape the brows meticulously and I was really satisfied with how clean the arch looked without making them any thinner. read more

Star is a wonderful place for threading and also for facials and eyebrow tinting. They also do more services than just that. Jassie (the owner) truly knows how to shape eyebrows and coordinate with your face. She listens to her customers. I absolutely love Jassie. She is always so nice and so kind. She has threaded and tinted my eyebrows twice and has also given me a facial. Each time she does so with delicacy and care. She even took the time to remember my name. This is THE BEST threading, eyebrow, and facial salon in Capitol Hill in my opinion. They truly take the time to get to know their customers, unlike other places. I highly recommend supporting this small business. You will not regret it. read more

I've seen Jassie (the owner) twice now and I've been very satisfied with the results! I learned after my last threading review to try a place at least twice before I commit to a review or a membership. Well today was my second visit and I bought the unlimited 3 month brow threading for $45 and here's my review! I could go about every two weeks making each threading appointment about $7.50. Not only is this a huge discount compared to another threading salon I was visiting but the experience and results have been consistent! I've walked in and been able to see the same person here both times which I appreciate. The place is brand new and looks and feels as such. Very clean, very comfortable. The first time I explained exactly what I wanted and that's exactly what I got. My brows looks perfect! On the first visit after rose water she applied a calming product that kind of felt like cold aloe gel maybe and gave me a temple massage - so above and beyond! I'm using a retinoic cream and cannot wax as my skin is very sensitive. I chose to just have rose water the second time to avoid any extra products touching my skin. I expressed all of this to Jassie as well as my instructions for what I wanted and for the second time got consistent results. Consistency is where I find that a lot of my experiences go sour. After confirming I would be able to see Jassie consistently I didn't hesitate to get the $45 pass. Such a great deal! Super convenient location to my condo, can walk there in 2 minutes. Star threading also has punch cards if you don't want to commit to a membership and also has a yelp deal $9 for $13 plus some other coupons. This place is totally worth checking out if you're in the market for a new brow place. They also offer a lot of other services too! Thank you, Jassie! read more

It's ok. I saw that this was a new business back around 2019 and tried it out back then (and was encouraged to buy a set of 6 brow sessions) but the results are just ok, and the experience isn't always very good. Id been getting brows done at a competing location for many years and will be going back there, Im just not into the results I'd been getting at Star and unfortunately it's not worth me using the remainder of my sessions since moving from that neighborhood read more

Star threading saved me from a eyebrow melt down. I went to a different place because she was running late and I shouldn't of done that because the other place did a really bad job she fixed my eyebrows right up. I am saved I will be telling other people of how awesome this place is and be putting in the other place eyebrow photo and hers. Please keep up the great work. Clean and friendly environment she was very apologetic of running late I completely understand. read more

a month ago She will take money and then tell you to go elsewhere!! So the lady here does a pretty good job. In the past, she had talked about the difficulties of maintaining a business which i felt quite sympathetic to and bought a package of 6 threading sessions. My understanding based on how it was explained to me was that it was a bundle of six sessions, thats all. Today, i visited again after 2 months and the threading was a bit rushed because of other clients waiting, but I was ok overall. When i brought up my 6 session package card, the lady made noise saying the sessions should be used monthly and they expire otherwise. This wasn't explained at the time of purchase, nor was it mentioned on the card. She went on to say this is how all salons are. When I said thats not true, she said then i should go to those salons. I said, yes will do!!! Not the most professional or ethical business conduct unfortunately! I guess you will be fine as long as you don't pay upfront for services like i did. read more

If you need a good eyebrow threading this is the place to go! The owner is very kind and makes sure to make you comfortable and get exactly what you want! I am a repeat customer for eyebrow and lip threading. This place is also centrally located on the Hill next to Tropical Tan. Prices are very comparable. They also have plans for continued customers! The place is super clean and making sure to use safe COVID practices! Def recommend! Threading isn't your thing? Don't worry, they do waxing, too. They have walknin availability right now with COVID. read more

There are quite a few threading places in this area but Star is the most affordable one I've seen so far! So glad it opened up in the last month. The owner, Jassi, did my eyebrows and wow!! I'm so happy with how they turned out. She took her time with them and shaped them with a nice arch. Star also features a number of facials that are also very affordable...the cheapest one is the Fruit Facial for $40, which is incredible for all the cleansing and moisturizing it includes. The spot is small, would recommend making an appointment for waxing or facials. Otherwise, walking in for eyebrows is fine. The salon offers an unlimited eyebrows threading package for three months for $45! Super great deal if you like to get your eyebrows done every 2-3 weeks. Affordable/clean salon and considerate owner. Would recommend for eyebrows! read more

Jassie, the owner, is so nice and genuine. She takes time to get to know you and the way you want your eyebrows to look. She takes her time, is extremely thorough and gentle, and works until you get the look that you want. The shop is super cute, very clean and cozy. This is my new favorite spot and I highly recommend giving Jassie a chance. read more

I visited yesterday for eyebrow threading and also tried the tint for the first time! My eyebrows look amazing and the shape is exactly as I wanted - natural with more definition. I don't even have to worry about using an eyebrow pencil. I have very sparse, flat eyebrows and they look amazing now! I'll be visiting again. read more

This is a new place in Cap Hill, went in for a facial today. Jassi was exceptional, she took her time through the different stages of cleansing, steam, scrubbing, face pack, moisturizing. She did a great job explaining along the way. It included a relaxing massage as well. Overall, a wonderful experience and looking forward to going back :) read more

I just moved to Seattle and I've been desperately trying to find a good eyebrow threading place. Luckily I found this salon and she is one of the most skilled professionals I've ever met. Her place is very clean, and the organic thread she uses makes the threading almost painless. Not only does she offer AMAZING threading services, but also waxing, eyebrow tinting and face bleaching. Finding this salon has made me so happy and I could not recommend any other place than this one. I will not go anywhere else from now on!! Trust me when I say she is amazing. read more

I searched far and wide for a threading specialist I can feel confident in to get perfect brows every time I go under the thread. I am so happy that I have found this place, as this is my new favorite threading salon in Seattle. I typically get a brow cleanup along with an upper lip threading. I rarely ask to get brow shaping done because my past experiences with other places led to my brows looking either too thin or too arched for my liking, even when I have brought photo references or let them know that I only want a clean-up. The first time I went in, I asked to get my usual brow cleanup and upper lip combo. I am so impressed with the whole experience! Jassie is so sweet, and I love the way she treated my brows. A session with her takes a little longer since she let me check on each brow first before she continued to thread them any further, which I greatly appreciate. After the service, I immediately purchased a membership for six sessions of brows and lip for $80. I was that satisfied with the results. For the second time, I let Jassie shape my brows a little bit and I love how they turned out! Both brows are even-looking and are the right amount of thickness that I put a lot of effort into maintaining. Thank you so much Jassie! read more

Wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. The business doesn't abide by their hours posted. I'm a first time customer so I called one day and asked if they offered walk in appointments. They said they were closed that day (despite their website and business hours on the door saying they were open) but offer walk ins. I asked if I could come in the next day and they said yes. The next day I show up 45 minutes after they opened, hoping to beat the rush. The salon was closed. I called and the person said they would be there soon. It sounded like they were just leaving their house and in no hurry to open their business. They even didn't offer an apology or explanation why they were so late. At this time two other people were waiting and we were all confused if the salon was even going to be open that day. The lady who finally showed up was rude and didn't apologize for being late. She was fast and rough with my eyebrow threading. My eyebrows were slightly uneven and she left a lot of extra hairs. Eyebrow threading cost $18, $2 more than what was posted on the board. I asked why she charged me more and she said it was the credit card fee. This fee was not posted anywhere and she had such a rude and impatient tone. This service was way overpriced for such bad quality and bad customer service. I strongly encourage you to find another salon. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

The absolute best threading experience. I have been to many threading salons, but this one is by far my favorite. She took her time and talked to me about my arches, asking what shape I was going for and how is usually did my own eyebrows at home. The finished result was amazing, I felt like a new person! Everything was also very clean with Covid and I bought the package so each threading is $10. You can't beat that in Seattle! I will recommend this threading salon to everyone! read more

Decided to try out this place instead of my usual spot because it's much closer to my house. I got my brows tinted and threaded, the results were so underwhelming. The person who did my brows didn't even trim it afterward. I felt so rushed even though there was no one else in the store. The tint itself is not worth it, barely lasted a couple of days (followed all the instructions). Everyone knows that feel-good moment after you get your brows done, but I was only left with disappointment after mine. read more

Jassie did an excellent job fixing my eyebrow shape after I had it all messed up from trimming it at home! You'll be able to tell that she is very considerate and helpful in doing her job! She doesn't just clean up stray hairs but she would perfect your brows into your desired shape! She just opened the store recently but I think this store deserves to be known by more people and you know you are going to be handled by a professional. Highly recommend! read more

They aren't transparent with their pricing. You'll go in expecting to pay $16 which is what they have posted and then they charge $22 after the work is done. That's a 38% up charge that they aren't communicating and then when asked about it they stated that the have to charge more for men. I was in there for less than 15 minutes there was no line there was nothing unique they did and it wasn't even the best threading job I've had done. Regardless of cost they aren't great communicators. There are other better places to get this work done in the area and just because the location is convenient doesn't mean you should settle going here and dealing with a business that isn't transparent in their rates. read more

i've been looking for somewhere to get my brows done that is affordable and safe with everything going on w covid. i found this place through yelp and was able to schedule an appointment even though they hadn't officially opened yet! i absolutely LOVE how lassi did my brows. she's super gentle and the aloe vera afterwards was super soothing. i have really sparse eyebrows so i was so impressed with the shape she was able to make. i ended up getting a membership card but wish i would've seen that yelp offers an extra $5 off. highly recommend coming here!! read more

My experience here was so amazing! I have been searching for an eyebrow threading salon since moving to Seattle and finally found this place! This was my first time checking out Star. I went based on their strong reviews during Covid. It was important to find a salon what was clean and safe, and Star truly delivered. They were able to take me as a walk-in in the late afternoon and I was seated right away. The salon is clean, quiet and intimate. The woman (sorry I didn't catch your name!) did a wonderful job on my bushy brows, restoring the shape I had nearly destroyed in the last 5 months plucking on my own. She was quick and it was nearly painless. The price is a tiny bit higher than other threading salons in the area, but it's worth it for the extra care, attention to detail, and safety measures. I'll definitely be back! read more

I was super impressed by Jassi's threading skills. She's super quick, very careful with shaping, and tailoring to your needs. The best part was that it didn't feel painful at ALL!!! I wish I'd spent a bit more money for a better experience. I have very light brows so I don't get them done often. I've done both waxing and threading. And this was my first experience with brow tinting. That being said. The girl who did my brows did them hastily and didn't even ask me whether I wanted threading or waxing, and the shop offers both. Also it was my first time getting my brows tinted and I feel like she didn't even bother removing half the dye. I had to go home and clean them up myself. That being said, I will get my brows tinted again, because after I went home and used a q-tip and makeup remover to get off the crazy brows I had been given, I kinda like the effect of the darker brow in general - just maybe not at this place. I also had to pluck a few to get the right shape and I noticed a small chunk of brow toward the front that probably shouldn't have been taken out. Its fine tho. It'll grow back. I just feel like I could've done this myself for half the price. I'm being nice with the 2 star cuz she didn't like ruin anything- but it could've been a much better experience. read more

First time going and loved the way my brows came out! I didn't catch her name but the woman who did my brows consulted me throughout the visit to make sure I got the look I wanted. And I decided to also get my brows tinted and they look amazing! So happy with the way they look! Thank you read more

I got my eyebrows done after a very long time. I found a groupon for eyebrows and upper lip so it came out much cheaper but even otherwise their prices are pretty affordable. The location is prime so parking can be a challenge but i was able to find a spot 2 streets over after looking for 5-10 minutes. The service was awesome. I had called ahead of time to make an appointment. They close at 6.30 and I showed up at 6.15 and they were expecting me. Deepika did my eyebrows and she did a great job. She asked me what I wanted but it had been so long since I got them shaped that I told her to do what she thinks would look best and she delivered! She was very well spoken and graceful. My upper lip usually hurts a lot but I don't know if her technique was different or if it was the thread but it didn't hurt as much. I will definitely be going back :) read more

I purchased a Groupon for eyebrow threading and am so glad I did! I am very picky when it comes to getting my eyebrows done. Mostly because my Aunt has done them for the past 8 years. I decided to go to Star Threading because it is conveniently located and Groupon had a deal for $8. Jassi understood my concern about not wanting to take too much hair out. I like my eyebrows thick so she totally understood and checked in with me halfway through our session to see if it looked good. So glad I went. read more
