This was my first facial since becoming pregnant (almost 27 weeks now) and I was really looking forward to it and thought I'd be safe here. Unfortunately I didn't feel safe and I wish I never came now. They don't have pregnancy pillows to accommodate pregnant individuals either. When I arrived, there were clear markings for COVID safety and seats near the door to wait. Sanitizer was readily available and they also use plastic guards at all stations. I had a chance to watch their cleaning protocols as well and I felt very safe. The selection of dipping powder is extensive but I stick to gel on my natural nails. I was particularly impressed by their cat eye selection (which I tend to use during winter months). For the spring, I chose one of the many sparkly colors available. They started my manicure while I was in the pedicure chair and later moved me to the table when my pedicure was done. Cuticles are my mortal enemy and they did a good job of cleaning them up and trimming my way-too-long nails. I liked that they asked a lot of questions about how I liked my nails done since it was my first time there. The pedicure was the star of the show. The best manicurists almost never do pedicures so I have a hard time finding a salon that does both well. I haven't had a pedicure in a while and have trouble with ingrown toenails. I was educated about what was going on with my toes and how we could work to get them healthier over the next few months. They took extremely good care of my toes from cuticles to re-shaping to my sandpaper-like heels. This is my new "go to" place for pedicures! Overall, service was very friendly. The cost of my visit before tip was $65 - deal! The spacing was good and they followed COVID occupancy standards. I'll be coming back for my manicures while my regular person is on leave and will definitely be getting pedicures here in the future!

Still upset, I went outside to quietly call my mom, not realizing Devonna was sitting in her car. She actually got out to confront me in the parking lot, yelling at me to "go cry somewhere else because she was already crying in her car." Completely unprovoked and shockingly unprofessional. When I told the owner, instead of being horrified, she excused it by saying that seeing me cry upset Devonna even more. So according to this salon, it's acceptable for their staff to yell at a paying customer in the parking lot because their feelings were hurt? Disgusting. The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but the owner's reaction was beyond unacceptable. She never truly listened to what I didn't like about my hair -- every time I tried to explain, she brushed it aside and minimized my concerns instead of acknowledging them. Worst of all, she outright lied by saying I had yelled at Devonna -- something I never did. That lie was clearly meant to discredit me and invalidate everything I was saying. To be gaslit like that by the owner of the salon was shocking and insulting. This salon does not value customers, accountability, or basic professionalism. If you're paying high prices, you deserve respect and to be heard -- not dismissed, gaslit, and lied about. If you're someone who struggles to speak up for yourself, avoid this place at all costs. I will include a picture of the haircut I asked for and the haircut I got and you can tell me if you think its a $100+ haircut or even a good haircut. I even straightened half so you can truly see just how poor work it is

I used to get my brows shaped, laminated, and tinted at another business in Seattle; however, my go to aesthetician up and left without notice so I was on the hunt for a new brow guru. I came across A+ Ilash Studio when googling various businesses in the area. The Redmond location certainly had great reviews and so I decided to check out their newer location in the Wedgewood neighborhood. Their booking process was a breeze and so I booked an appointment with Alice. During the services (brow shape/lamination/tint) everything seemed to be going as expected. When she was finished, she gave me the mirror and I did a quick look which appeared to show a superb job. Unfortunately, I must not have paid too close attention during the mirror inspection because when I got out to the car and did a more thorough look over, I noticed my left brow after the arch was completely misshapened and half of the hair that should've remained was waxed off. When looking midline at my face, my brows appeared to be not only off-center but one brow appeared higher than the other. The over waxing of my left brow was odd because my right brow looked really well without extra hair removal. As far as my brows being off-center and the unevenness, I can only attribute it to the tint being applied to each brow as they appeared individually and not paying attention to symmetry of the face during the application. As soon as I got home, I immediately took off some of the tint that caused the brows to appear off center and I had to fill in with my brow pencil the tail of my left brow that was almost completely missing. I am now 6 weeks post services and although a majority of the hair has grown back, it still is a little more sparse than previously. For the first 4 weeks after visiting A+ Ilash Studio, each day I had to fill in with pencil the missing hair so I'd have more symmetrical looking brows. This venue has some good reviews and I'm happy people have had great experiences, but for me it was a complete fiasco. Again this is just my experience. Hopefully if you choose this business you will have a better outcome than I did. Though unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

More than two weeks before the appointment, the owner texted me asking me to put down a $75 deposit "since it is such a long appointment and when cancelled even 48 hours before it is hard to fill the entire slot." The booking website says all microblading appointments have a 7-day cancellation policy, so I was confused why she was even talking about 48-hour cancellation, but I put down the deposit anyway. I then planned my travels around this appointment, including booking a more expensive flight from New York so I could fly back to Seattle before Christmas to make it here. Come the day of, 1.5 hours before the appointment, the owner texted me that she would be 30 minutes late. Not a problem. But 45 minutes later, 45 minutes before the actual appointment, I got another text saying "Actually" she could no longer make it because she had Christmas shopping to complete. Sadly when both of her texts came in I was already on my way. It was raining hard and I was driving, and I didn't see them until after I arrived. I called her and got to vm. I then texted and said I would wait until 30 minutes past my appointment time. I never got a response and she never showed up. Christmas is not just her holiday, and time is not just her time. If Christmas Eve was a bad day, do not make it available and confirm the appointment weeks in advance. She and I both work in client-facing jobs. If I set a meeting with a client and try to reschedule on short notice but don't hear back, I show up. Her behavior is particularly uncalled for when she charged me a deposit so I would be respectful of her time. The respect was apparently not mutual. I asked her for a refund of my deposit. She ghosted me, and I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. I have not heard a single word from her since the "Actually can't make" text. Unless this sounds like something you want to deal with, take your business elsewhere.
