This wasn't my first time getting my eye brows microbladed, but it was my first time at Dollhouse! I went in to see Hannah and she worked her magic on my previously micro bladed brows. There was some reddish tint from the previous work, and she took her time drawing my brows to cover up/blend it all together. She checked in with me to make sure I was happy with how it looks. After both of our approvals, we moved to selecting the tone. She was careful in selecting a tone that matched my brows, and reassured me that we can go darker at our touch up appointment if we needed to. I've finally found the perfect microblading artist at the perfect place! I have been getting microbladed since 2010s, so I've had the pleasure to meet many talented microblading artists. However, my experience with Dollhouse Beauty Parlor definitely is the best one, from the easy online scheduling, the close proximity to where I live, the plenty of free parking, the impressive works that all the artists have done here, to the completely pain-free microblading session. I first emailed them to make sure they'd be able to take me in as I have had multiple previous works done and I got a reply within 10 minutes - talk about a lightening speed communication! All the artists were booked up for weeks and even months but I was able to secure a spot with Hannah for 6 weeks later. There was a little mix-up with the scheduling, she was very apologetic and rescheduled me for a different date; she was able to see me a day earlier. Yay! As instructed, I waited in the car until Hannah finished sanitizing everything and let me know that she was ready for me. Once I entered, I was taken aback by how bright, clean, cozy the place is. It's so chic! First and foremost, she directed me to the washroom to wash my hands then took my temperature. At the chair, we discussed what I was looking for. The majority of the appointment was spent at drawing the perfect brows, she really took her time in drawing the shape that would look best on me. At first when I saw the drawn brows, I was a bit hesitant because they looked too thick for my preference. Hannah was cool about it and patiently explained to me why it was necessary in order to cover up the old work on my brows, plus she also made me realize that the brows looked thicker than the end result due to the outlines that clearly wouldn't be microbladed onto my forehead lol, she did modify the brows to fit what I wanted then afterwards we agreed we'd go with the little less thick version and could adjust later at the touch-up appointment. That immediately put me at ease. Then, only when I was completely happy with the brows that we moved to the table where the microblading began. I was bracing myself for this part in the anticipation of pain due to a previous experience elsewhere that did not use strong numbing cream causing me a lot of discomfort and bleeding. If the fear of pain has been keeping you from getting microbladed, I can attest that you'll be in good hands here. The reason why is because before applying the numbing cream, she would poke the skin (in rapid motion) so the cream would be absorbed deeper into the skin which worked like a dream! I didn't really feel anything the entire time! Zero pain. And if any, just a slight burning sensation when the numbing cream was applied. Honestly it was so relaxing, I nearly fell asleep.. plus her playlist is so awesome. It was such a pleasant experience throughout. When she was done and held up the mirror for me to check out my brows, I felt the urge to cry in joy. I was so happy! The eyebrows are so perfect - the perfect shape, the perfect thickness! Hannah has magic hands, she's such a talent. Plus accompanied with a great bedside manner, she's very friendly, patient and personable. She pays a great deal of attention and it shows, I really couldn't be happier with every details of my experience with her. Before heading out, she walked me through the aftercare instruction and sent a digital copy to me (paperless!), then gave me everything I would need for the healing process: cream, plenty of wet cloth, and --get this -- even a shower visor to shield my brows in the shower! Woah, that's practically unheard of, and I've been to approx 7 different microblading places! She also reminded me to reach out to her for any questions that I might have. I think the brows have healed beautifully! I was initially a bit concerned about how well they would heal since my appointment was on the second hottest day in Seattle's history that effectively turned the entire PNW into a sauna causing me to sweat more (compared to my other post-microblading experiences). I'm so happy with how they turned out, will be coming back for the touch-up appointment soon. I went to see Vivian to get my brows done and I am SO happy I did. I've been wanting to get my brows done for so long but I kept putting it off so my friends got me a gift card for my birthday (they are so sweet). I am not very good when it comes to doing my brows so though I did it, I was never happy with how they turned out. Now, it literally takes me 5 minutes to finish my makeup in the morning. I literally woke up like this. I did the microblading with shading to have that powdered (slight makeup) look. I was nervous doing semi permanent makeup but Vivian made me feel so comfortable. She is literally a brow goddess! The first time I went I didn't want to go too dark because it was right before my birthday. Vivian picked the perfect shade for me that matched the color of brow dip that I normally used. I was so impressed with her professionalism and expertise! They turned out perfect. I realized that though I loved the color the first time, I did want to go slightly darker (when you get them done they look darker than they will actually turn out- after the scabs come off). That all changed once I saw my friend's fresh new brows, done by Vivian. They looked amazing! So I quickly went and made an appointment for my brows. I opted for the nano brows because they last the longest. During my appointment Vivian was so attentive in listening to my concerns. My eyebrows were naturally uneven because I had a tendency to raise my left brow so it was a little higher. Vivian meticulous outlined my new brow shape and it looked perfect! She single handedly has introduced the art of microblading to the Seattle area and has set the tone for other artists in the area. She was able to draw the outline to what I wanted, explained the blading process, as well as review what level of shading would be best for my face shape. During the actual blading process, she communicated in detail each step she was taking and even put a little extra numbing cream on my face because I was so nervous! I laid down the whole time, but with calming music playing and a comfortable chair, it definitely put me at ease the whole time. The actual blade process wasn't long -- about an hour! She checked to ensure everything was even and perfect throughout the process. My brows were measured with a thread and ruler (she didn't "guess" or "eyeball" anything). It was a professional process all around! At the end, they give you a cute ointment kit with treatment guidelines in the bag. I write very few reviews, particularly within the service industry because I am myself a service provider. I have to be pretty appalled by an experience to merit an attempt to discourage others from visiting. I even thought about taking my review down but the bullying & scolding emails (and owner response below with all its defensive inaccuracies) and retaliatory behavior from the company merited leaving it. I had my initial appointment with Kimberly for microblading in November. I was incredibly explicit about the tone that I did not want. I explained that I had had permanent make up about 15 years previously and it had healed incredibly warm and I didn't want anything even close to warm. Note: this was not corrective work; there was nothing remaining from my previous permanent make up. 4 hours later I left with brows that people asked me for the next month why "they had used burgundy on me." So I decided to do my retouch with Vivian, the owner. I sent pictures of my brows showing how they had healed extremely light, very warm and very patchy. In this email I also asked to be placed on a cancellation list as I wasn't able to book for quite some time. 11 days later I finally received a response that I would be put on the cancellation list (no mention of anything else) When I returned to Dollhouse for my retouch in February with Vivian, she was visibly surprised by my brows, asked me "why are they pink?!" and had to move the appointment after me because she had to essentially start over again. She acted annoyed and expressed she "hadn't been told" despite the fact that I had emailed pictures. At the end of my nearly 4 hour second appointment she told me not to assess them for a month and to let her know how they healed. After a month the color was fine, the general shape was fine but I had visible holes at the top of both brows where shading did not blend to the micro bladed strokes. The bottom of my right brow looked warbled. I sent pictures in an email again and asked the best way to go about fixing the holes. A week later I sent the email again as I had received no response. I finally received an email back telling me to go book "additional shading" online. Then after I expressed that this level of customer service was frustrating and I expected more I got an email telling me, again, to book online - this time another retouch. I will not be returning to Dollhouse Beauty Parlor, even after the inevitable owner response to this review is publicly posted offering me a time before 6/24 (the time told to me in my last email as first available) or some kind of price break on what should be an unnecessary THIRD appointment, in a thinly veiled attempt to have me take this review down. I have no patience for this level of customer service particularly in a luxury service industry. There are plenty of businesses that would value their work on someone's face being pristine over a couple of hundred bucks to get me back in again. Congratulations if you made it this far. Vivian is an absolute perfectionist which is exactly what you want when it comes to your brows! She analyzes each stoke and will not let you leave until she's 110% happy. Their salon is completely sterile and neat (and I'm saying that coming from the dental field) as well as super cute and comfortable. They will bundle you up in their soft blankets during the appointment and the music they play is definitely on point. Im always so relaxed at my appointments. I honestly look forward to them! The pigment that they use is phenomenal! It never grays or becomes a weird color (which I have seen on some bad eyebrow tattoos done at other salons) it just lightly fades to a very natural look by a year or so. I normally go in for a touch up between 6-9 months since I am obsessed with that fluffy sharp yet natural brow look (plus I am very active, which they say makes the pigment fade faster).
