Uma Clinic is such a gem in the NW Seattle community. Erica is AMAZING! Erica is the best practitioner - intuitive to your needs through her extensive menu of what she has to offer. She is professional, kind, thoughtful, and organized. I've had massage, lymphatic drainage, and some of her mind/body work done. She is a master in her field and I always very much enjoy visiting her. I hope to get through the menu of services and referred many friends to her. I also think Amber is a great esthetician and have had some services from her. She knows her field well and does an excellent job for facials, waxing, etc. There's lots of street parking, it's easy to get to, and the inside is cute and inviting. I got a Groupon for microneedling of my face, and let's just say that sounded scary. After reading the reviews, I decided to try this spa, and I'm glad I did. I've now gone twice for this treatment, and I feel like my skin looks brighter and smoother and overall healthier. I will return beyond the Groupon deal. I enjoyed the knowledge and service of my aestheticians at the appointments I've had, and am eager to return for more as my skin needs some lovin! Got microneedling done here with a Groupon. For two weeks afterward I had bruising under my eyes. Now I have permanent damage - broken capillaries under my eyes - that I did not have before. Courtney was extremely rough with my skin - using a thick microneedle over the most sensitive and bony parts of my face. I didn't say anything because I figured she should know what she was doing even when the needle scraped across the bone of my nose bridge 5 more times than was necessary. I even tipped her, and she accepted and said nothing after completely damaging my skin. You can see this in the photo - microneedling is not supposed to cause bruising to this extent. Very disappointed because now I have to deal with an issue I didn't have before. read more

I called and no one answered, emailed them, and texted with no response. The Groupon I purchased was also not one of the options to select to try and make an appointment online. I received my first ever micro needling session with amber. She promptly greeted me at the door. After taking my temperature lead me to the treatment room. She throughly explained everything she was doing. During the service she continually checked in on my comfort level and explains each step. She answered all of my questions and kept a comfortable conversation flowing. She went over after care details with me and helped me pick a product out for optimal result with no pressure to make the sale. I'm excited to see my results over the next few weeks and cannot wait to come back for my next service. I have been going to Courtney for microneedling for a while now. You see the best results with microneedling after a series of sessions and since it's your own body rebuilding collagen, you have to have some patience to see the full result. I purchased a package of 6 sessions last year and saw Courtney once a month for 6 months. She is amazing - my skin tone, pore size, scarring and overall firmness of my skin has improved immensely. Personally, I think it is better than getting Botox or filler because it looks more natural and the results last longer. I'm on a 6 month on (every four weeks)/6 months off schedule. As for the experience overall, Courtney is a pro. She adjusts the needle depths over different parts of my face for the best results. The numbing cream helps prevent any pain, although there have been times where it's been slightly uncomfortable over bony parts of my face - but not painful. After the procedure, my face feels hot and is pretty red with some pinpoint bleeding. I plan ahead for this and usually book an evening appointment on a Friday and spend all day Saturday at home without makeup and keep my skin hydrated. It's normal for your face to feel dry, so applying serum throughout the day helps. ***The right after care is very important*** So no makeup, no harsh products, no face-touching, drink a lot of water, etc. The redness is 90% gone by Sunday morning and by Monday all the redness has subsided. About 3-4 days after the procedure, my face starts to peel very slightly and after 7 days, my skin looks/feels amazing. This is how MY skin responds to the treatment so I would recommend you do your research because your skin may respond differently and you should know what to expect. Some people experience bruising, swelling, or visible marks from the procedure and some don't, but it's normal and will go away after a few days if you follow their after care instructions. I recently moved about an hour away from Seattle and went to someone closer to home but I was very disappointed with the results. I just purchased another package of 6 sessions at Uma just to see Courtney because I think she's worth the one hour drive. read more

I bought a 3/$99 deal via Groupon a couple of weeks ago, which ended up being timely as I reaggravated my whiplash a few days ago. Uma and Brynn, the massage therapist which I saw, are both absolutely wonderful. Instantly therapeutic atmosphere upon entering the door. Before the massage began, Brynn asked great questions in getting to know me, my body, the issues we were aiming to treat, and preferred technique (i.e. pressure). She asked a couple of necessary questions to check in during the massage to make sure that all was well, otherwise it was a quiet and relaxing experience (her background music was very calming as well). Afterwards Brynn not only checked in to see how I was feeling but also let me know what she felt my trouble areas were for focusing on in our next session as well as post-massage recommendations for getting the most out of the experience. Also worth noting, I've communicated a handful of times now with Erica both in my initial call to Uma to set up the appointment, but also via Facebook messaging with a couple of questions. She is beyond sweet, helpful, witty, and thus has eased the pain of whiplash in her own way too. When you are in constant pain, niceties go a *very* long way. Even after my Groupon deal has been used up, I will continue to seek care from Brynn and Uma. They have exceeded my expectations by far, and I'm very thankful to literally be in such great hands again. read more

I have been more than thrilled with the results as well as the care patience and skill that Sehara has shown. I purchased a Groupon for 5 Laser Lypolysis sessions because it seemed worth trying for a minimal investment. I figured that 5 sessions would give me an idea of whether there would be any results. BUT, had I read the fine print on the Groupon, I would have seen that each session was for only 15 minutes. So actually what I got were two sessions (surprise!) as my provider explained to me that at the first session I would be using two of the sessions and the second session, three. The staff were polite and the clinic is nice, but they must be on commission because my provider gave me a pressure sales job each visit to come back for more treatments. If am going to spend the $ to indulge in a spa treatment, I don't want to be subjected to pressure sales tactics during my visit. I also find it suspicious that all their reviews give them 5 stars.
