I've been meaning to write this for a long time, because my experience with Amy at Boss Brow genuinely made a difference in my life. Back in 2023, I was going through a really tough time. Unprofessional, poor work. Despite the review of F. Stoltzfus, I scheduled my daughter with this business for eyebrow treatment. Based on that review and Amy's response, it sounded like she took the scheduling of these appointments seriously, and would not cancel or reschedule the appointments. I couldn't have been more wrong. My daughter is a college athlete with a strict training schedule, so timing the recovery period (no sweating for 10 days post treatment) accordingly was very important. 1. The initial eyebrow treatment was poorly done. My daughter's natural hair color is dark brown, yet for some reason Amy gave her faint light blonde eyebrows. 2. The follow up appointment for the 2nd treatment was scheduled a month in advance according to my daughter's training schedule and to coordinate with another procedure that she was having done, so as to overlap the recovery protocols. However, a few days before that appointment, Amy texted my daughter saying that she needed to reschedule, and suggested an alternate date. My daughter reluctantly agreed to the alternate date. However, Amy wrote back saying that she had already given that appointment to someone else, and wanted to delay her 2nd treatment to the following week. I then called Amy and asked her to fit my daughter in during the week that she had originally agreed to, whether that mean coming in early, staying late, or moving someone else's appointment around, all of which she refused. Not only that, but she accused me of being unreasonable and refused to offer a refund for the cancelled service. read more

So I set an appointment for service and paid the $100 deposit. Then, less than 24 hours before the appointment, she calls and cancels. Now she won't give me the deposit back although SHE was the one who cancelled, not me. This is no way to do business! read more

My brows were pretty uneven and sparse in some parts, and making them look good with makeup started to take more time than I liked. My experience with Amy at Boss Brow was truly amazing and I can confidently say that my brows still look amazing 6 months after my initial visit! I am SO happy with my new brows! Amy is so great at what she does. She really listened to my input on what I wanted -- I prefer having my brows closer together and thicker. The results were amazing! Not only did it cut down my time getting ready in the morning by a ton, but it also looks so much better than my previous filled-in brow look. My biggest fear with microblading was the pain (as my pain tolerance is very low) but it was almost nonexistent. As soon as the numbing cream would start to wear off, she would apply another layer so that the experience continued smoothly. This review is about saline tattoo removal. In 2020, I worked with Amy to have ink removed from my eyebrows via saline tattoo removal procedure. Amy didn't perform my initial microblading, I had it done somewhere else (Divine Brow Artistry, don't go there!!! That place did a terrible job and completely disfigured my face). Overall the saline removal procedure went well. It was very painful and it took longer than expected (my first appointment lasted more than an hour and my second appointment lasted about 50 minutes). Also, after the procedure, you have to keep the eyebrow area completely dry (no washing the face) until the area heals, which for me took about 10 days, but it can sometimes take 2 weeks. That also means 2 weeks of no makeup. This was fine during the pandemic when I could work from home, but now that I'm back working in the office, so I can't walk around with no makeup and bloody scabby eyebrows. Also, I did end up with redness in my eyebrow area from inflammation (and also some of the redness is from the ink changing pigment). I went to a couple dermatologists for advice and they said that I'm having an allergic reaction to the ink. After the saline tattoo removal procedure was performed, it likely triggered the allergic reaction. The redness probably won't go away until all the ink is gone, and it's not even certain that all the redness will go away. That is something to keep in mind. In hindsight, maybe laser removal would be better since it's less invasive, but it also seems like laser takes longer to get the ink out (I've gone through 2 laser procedures so far and it's slowly fading, much slower compared to saline removal). I suggest consulting with a dermatologist about your options. If you're unhappy with your microblading, I suggest you meet with Amy and see if she can help you get the ink removed. I'm now getting laser removal at Caddell's Laser. The healing process is much quicker (I only have to go one day without makeup, the procedure is very quick - it only takes a few minutes). I highly recommend Caddell's Laser in Bellevue. There are very few laser places that will remove permanent makeup. I have a lot more to say, so if you want to hear more about my tattoo removal journey, please message me. Let my story be a word of caution about getting permanent ink put on the face. I don't think it's worth the risk. And it requires up keep, and when you no longer want to keep up with it, you have to wait years for the ink to completely fade. read more

I have been wanting to microblade my eyebrows for years and came across Amy's Instagram one day and loved the work that she posted on there. I decided to make an appointment with her. Pre-Procedure she emailed two pamphlets. One included a cute chart on the "emotions post-microblading" that quickly explains the healing process, then another that goes into a lot of detail on how to prepare, what to expect during, and how to take care of your brows after. It was so detailed and informative, it helped me understand what I needed to and what to expect to help my brows heal the best way possible. On the day of the procedure, I showed Amy some photos and what I was interested in for my brows. She definitely worked with me to help achieve my goals, but was also realistic in what would work best for my face structure and the upkeep to help keep it polished (I have crazy growth on my brows, so I have to pluck them regularly). She took her time with shaping and reshaping the brows before we began with the procedure. I could see that she wanted to make sure they were even and looked great before she started to microblade. She was also great at explaining what she was doing and why, to keep me informed and keep me at ease with her procedure. When it came to the microblading itself, it was a fairly quick process for me. I typically handle pain fairly well, so for most of the procedure, I did not have numbing on. She explained that ideally we would want to try to do as much as possible without numbing because the skin takes on the ink better when it's dry. It felt like scratches on the skin, almost like a normal tattoo but not as abrasive. Once she did put on the numbing, I felt nothing at all. Post procedure, I took good care of my brows and followed the pamphlet she sent as close as possible. When I came to my touch-up, she said my brows looked great and I may be able to be one of her yearly girls. I wanted to go for a more bigger and bolder look during my touch-up and she was able to take care of my request. I loved how they turned out! Overall, I highly recommend Amy for microblading. I was nervous about microblading and did a ton of research. It's critical to read reviews and to look at pictures of before and after. Artists have different styles and it's important to choose an artist where you admire the results, and know she will take the time to understand your face, preference and style to choose the right look for YOU. Amy is a true pro and I am very happy with my choice and the results. It was well worth the money I spent. A few pointers. Absolutely follow her pre-appointment procedures. Cut your caffeine, supplements and alcohol for 24-48 hours before your appointment. If you are a prone to bleeding (and I didn't think I would be) it can really set the process back if you don't follow the instructions. I didn't know I was a bleeder and forgot the no caffeine rule before my appointment and it really set me back. My second appointment went much better and I had to go in for a third touch up today. I love the shape and Amy is a true artist. She is well worth the money and takes the time to perfect a look personal to you. And don't forgo the paid 3rd appointment if you need a few light fill ins. This is the first review I have ever written but Amy deserves all the praise for the services that she provides to her clients! I had previous microblading done in another state and was immediately extremely dissatisfied with the results!! I was doing research for the Seattle area for technicians who could remove my previous brows and shape the new ones accordingly to my bone structure. I came across Amy's business social media page through a mutual friend who had her brows done by Amy. After going through her posts and seeing how much time she took just to write about each client she worked on and their skin type and the aftercare I decided to schedule my consultation (this was last November / December). As soon as I met Amy I felt immediately comfortable! She made me feel heard first of all which is so important because in turn she gained my trust. She was honest with me about what needed to be done and the results. We decided that we would start with the saline removal technique that she provides at her studio and we completed 2 sessions which took a lot of the pigment from the previous microblading. At that point I did decide to get some laser treatments done to smooth the skin and remove the redness and prevent scarring. I had two laser treatments done which seemed to completely remove the redness (the types used by my skin place were: Pico Sure Laser and the Smart Skin Laser). I had 2 removal sessions performed by Amy and 2 performed by my skin clinic. I was finally able to come back to Amy after completing all of that, I was able to go back to Amy about 10 weeks ago for my 1st microblading sessions. It took her a little longer to draw on my shape because the tails of my brows were nonexistent. I fell in love with the shape and I was very happy with how long it took her to make each brow PERFECT! Since my skin in that area has been through quite a bit, I went back one week ago to get my touch up and we made the tails of my brows longer and tried another technique she offers called microneedling. I am EXTEREMLY satisfied with the level of care she put into helping me and that she was honest with me about the shape that was on my face previously and what the new shape should look like. We made my features softer but I still feel like the shape is bold and have gorgeous but slight arch that fits my bones structure. I was already referring people to Amy before my brows were even on my face, and I will continue to say everything I can about amazing she is and her work is. I was initially hesitant to get my eyebrows microbladed because i was nervous about the pain, price and results-not to mention, I am quite picky. However, I made the decision to try it out and do not regret it. Although the service was a bit expensive, it is in within normal price range for microblading services and I definitely didnt want to risk bad results for a semi permanent procedure on my brows. Not to mention, it is pretty much a one time cost since the price includes the touch up appointment and the results last something like 10 years. Additionally, the pain was next to nothing.
