My experience with Amy at Boss Brow was truly amazing and I can confidently say that my brows still look amazing 6 months after my initial visit! Amy is professional and very knowledgeable (she is a licensed tattoo artist!). After almost a year of research, a friend of mine recommend that I check out Boss Brow. I was instantly impressed by Amy's work and attention to detail. Once I booked my appointment Amy emailed out detailed information to prep for my appointment and appropriate aftercare instructions. I was quite nervous once I arrived, but Amy was able to professionally answer all my questions and address my concerns. After she mapped out my shape she assured me that my brows would not be too thick and would still look natural looking, I am so happy that I trusted her! The microblading process wasn't 100% pain-free for me during the first pass, but the slight pain was definitely tolerable. A numbing cream that is used during the second pass makes that portion completely pain free! Amy definitely is an expert in the field and knows how to enhance brows so they still stay true to you and compliment your features. I would highly recommend Boss Brow to anyone who is even contemplating getting their brows microbladed. I still get compliments all the time and my morning routine is next to none now! Only regret is not getting my brows microbladed by Amy sooner!

Let me start by saying... I became a victim of the over-plucking eyebrows stage in middle school! I've always had thinner brows to begin with.. but man.. I sure did ruin em. I am a professional makeup artist, and have been VERY picky about my brows for such a long time... but drawing them on every day was such a hassle I had honestly never considered microblading as an option for me because of not only how particular I am.. but also.. how nervous I was to have someone else touch my brows! I don't even get them waxed! Haha The second I saw Amy's work... I KNEW I could trust her. Upon meeting Amy after my back and forth of whether I even wanted to schedule (and mentally backing out of it a few times).. every worry or anxiety I had just disappeared. Amy is not only the sweetest person, but she is SO knowledgeable, informative, and willing to answer any and every questions or concern you have with ease and confidence. My brows look AMAZING... even better than I've ever done them! I almost felt insulted from how good they were and how I could never do that! LOL They look so natural and JUST like hair strokes! I have seen many botched microblading jobs being a makeup artist... and she does absolutely phenomenal work. And when I didn't think they would get any better I had my touch-up appointment and BAM... even more beautiful! I left Amy feeling confident, and also feeling like I knew her my entire life. We talked almost the entire time. Her personality is so warm and welcoming.. I feel like with any service, we overlook just how important it is for the "personable" aspect to be great as well as the service being done itself. I would trust Amy with my face any day! And am so lucky to have found her!

before & after

I am SO happy with my new brows! Amy is so great at what she does. She really listened to my input on what I wanted -- I prefer having my brows closer together and thicker. The results were amazing! Not only did it cut down my time getting ready in the morning by a ton, but it also looks so much better than my previous filled-in brow look. My biggest fear with microblading was the pain (as my pain tolerance is very low) but it was almost nonexistent. As soon as the numbing cream would start to wear off, she would apply another layer so that the experience continued smoothly. After my first appointment, I decided I wanted a couple more "hairs" at the front of the brow and that I wanted the pigment a bit darker. Amy did exactly that and now they are perfect! Absolutely recommend her.

Amy is THE BEST. I was apprehensive about doing anything permanent with my brows and did extensive research. I was referred to Amy by a friend and even observed her work via social media for a year before I made the commitment to go through with microblading. My brows were such a time suck and never looked quite right when I colored them in myself. The before and after say it all, Amy is the real deal.

After my original appointment, not yet healed but the difference is incredible. The shading will lighten up as it heals further

Ask the Community - Boss Brow

Do you do combo brows - microblading and shading? If so, do you recommend booking both at once, or adding shading during a follow up?

Hi there! I typically recommend adding shading at the touch up so you can see what they look like without it since you can’t take it back once you’ve done it. But if you’re set on this look you can go for it too!

Do you also do ombre shading for eyebrows? If so, how much does it cost? Thx?

Yes, $550 including the touch up.

Whats the parking situation?

There is street parking as well as some pay lots, including one that is covered. It’s not as challenging as right DT to park.

I've had several laser hair removal treatments (I'm one of the lucky people with extremely stubborn hairs and a lot of them). I haven't had to do any touch ups and it's been over 8 years since I've finished treatments. I've been receiving tattoo removal treatments for a couple of years now (not nearly as consistently as I should though)! The two that she has been treating have faded considerably. Both were very old and very dark and I didn't have much hope that they would lighten very much. Boy was I wrong. They have faded so much that some of the line work has disappeared completely. Initially I went into it just hoping that she could lighten them up enough to have coverup pieces done over them. At this rate, they might actually be completely removed! Amazing. Today I just received my first IPL session to correct redness and some melasma. I expected it to be uncomfortable (it was not at all). She prepared me that it may feel like a minor sunburn afterwards and I may notice some redness and swelling. It's been several hours and I haven't experienced any of those things. Siobhan is basically magical at what she does. All of these treatments are an investment for sure, but laser treatments are definitely not where you want to skimp. ALCOS is competitively priced and I wouldn't go anywhere else. These women know what they are doing and are always professional and knowledgeable in every treatment that they offer.

The provider determined I would not be a good candidate prior to treatment. To my dismay, I learned this clinic attempted to charge me an $85 cancellation fee for not following through with their "treatment" (extremely predatory practice, especially since I said I'd contact my dermatologist for medical advice before moving forward with any treatments). Seattle Aesthetic Laser is trying to falsely claim I "cancelled" my appointment, or didn't show up, when nothing could be further from the truth. I engaged in extensive consultative dialogue with the provider spanning the course of DAYS. The only way I could get out of the cancellation fee is by agreeing to a different form of treatment their clinic offers (surprise, surprise). Obviously, I told my card issuer to reject the charge as fraudulent, but on principle, a respectable clinic would never treat patients this way or try this scam.

After a Sculptra laser treatment, I was told it was safe to return 11 days later for a HydraFacial. During that visit, the esthetician upsold me on a 20% salicylic acid peel and red light therapy. The moment it was applied, my face started burning intensely and had to be neutralized multiple times. Despite being told peeling wouldn't happen, my skin peeled badly and I was left with visible burn marks and discoloration. A dermatologist later confirmed that combining these treatments so close together is not considered safe (even a quick google search or chatgpt search will say its UNSAFE) When I asked for a refund on my remaining balance (I was sold a laser/hydrafacial package), the clinic refused to consider it unless I came back to be evaluated by their dermatologist -- after they already injured me. They stalled, passed the issue around, and took zero accountability. They're happy to upsell aggressive treatments, but when something goes wrong, you're on your own. Protect your face and go elsewhere. I still have multiple treatments outstanding that I already paid for that I will not be getting.

READ THIS this before setting up a consultation with Dr. Amadi!!…read more I'm very DISAPPOINTED with this practice! Dr Amadi & his practice reneged on an agreement they made with me. I was very specific in stating that I was exploring surgical procedures and I may not be able to accommodate a surgical procedure. I said I would only agree to spend $250 on a consult with him if I could use it toward a non-surgical procedure like injectables if I decided not to move forward. They agreed, and now, they are RENEGING on that promise!! They have no problem now that they have your money!! They've apologized for the misunderstanding, but will not make any exception or offer any kind of concession. So be clear, that when you give them $250 or more to have a consultation with Dr. Amadi, you will lose that amount if you decide not to do a surgical procedure or decide not to move forward with him. They will justify this action by saying he takes 1.5hrs of his time to consult with you. I did not dispute that. I was clear of the time he was spending but again, they said I could apply it to a non-surgical procedure. I thought this was fair because I kept the money in his practice. I was not asking for my money back. Aside from this, their front desk and Dr Amadi were nice. You have choices! Do your research and ask for their policies. Ask how they do their consultations. Get things in writing. As a sidenote, from my experience & opinion, 1.5hrs is not needed when you're just exploring options and doctors for the first time. You want to talk with other Plastic surgeons to get their inputs, costs and policies. Most of these intro level appointments have not been more than 30 to 60 minutes elsewhere. And if I wanted to explore further wi a doctor I booked another appointment. If Dr Amadi wants to run his practice this way, that's his choice. Just be very clear that you will lose that money if you choose not to do surgery with him.

UW Medicine Primary Care at Belltown - Bad "doctors," bad people. I have to learn how to trust doctors again after my experiences with my spinal surgery and the UW.

She is easily one of the most thorough and compassionate medical professional I have been to. I was really sad when I learnt that she had left the practice. I then started seeing Dr Elizabeth Paesch. My first encounter with Dr Paesch was not favorable. I felt she was inattentive and I felt rushed during my exam. However I have gone to her a couple of times more, and have found her to be much more thorough, personable and efficient. She really took time to listen to all my health care concerns. So going by that, I attribute the unfavorable encounter to a particularly bad day. I like that this clinic had the lab right across so you don't have to navigate a maze like building to get where you want to be. The lab technicians are skilled in finding my veins ( which is always a challenge for many!) The location is also super convenient. However today I received this message and I am a bit disgruntled about it. Based on our records, you have received a dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19, Bivalent vaccine from our office between the dates of November 4, 2022, and February 1, 2023. We discovered the vaccine you received during this timeframe was stored in a regular freezer and not in refrigerator per manufacturer guidelines. After consulting with the vaccine manufacturer(s) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we have learned that the effectiveness of the vaccine you received during this timeframe cannot be verified. There is not felt to be any direct harm from receiving this vaccine. However, because we can't be certain of the effectiveness of the vaccine you received, we recommend getting an additional COVID-19, Bivalent vaccine dose to make sure you are fully protected. Such negligence from a medical provider should not be overlooked and I do hope that the clinic takes steps to mitigate such incidents in the future.

Things I've been diagnosed with by Virginia Mason after resident PCPs at the UW said I was faking…read morethe head, neck, and back pain I suffered from not even 6 months out from a failed neck surgery that resulted in multiple government investigations and the firing of my spinal surgeon: Chiari brain malformation, missed dozens of times by every UW radiologist and neurologist I ever encountered. Utterly inept. Spinal cord damage Occipital neuralgia, a painful condition that is described as debilitating by all credible sources. The UW wanted to stop all treatment and pain care: if they had been successful, I would be screaming in bed all day, every day, instead of living my life. They were trying to hurt me. Thoracic scoliosis (also missed by every single UW employee, even though it was glaringly obvious to even a layman in my imaging) Several missed Tarlov cysts in my spine I was told I need an almost complete surgical ribcage reconstruction due to numerous abnormalities likely stemming from further discovered abnormalities in my spine and pelvis. I had 100% government disability in addition to my very recent failed neck surgery: still, untrained, unspecialized doctors told me I was lying for attention. Hilary Iskin even told me she didn't bother to look through my chart, but had still decided I was faking it based off of pure prejudice and preconceived notions. David Rink used past sexual violence committed against me as psychological "evidence" that I was fabricating my profound and extensively documented health conditions, and put fraudulent and libelous information in my chart. Both of them refused to make any referrals for me to speak to specialists - they even refused to refer me to an orthopedist after my spinal surgery. They hurt and stymied me and my family. The fact that I have been violently raped (with legal proceedings) made David Rink inherently suspicious of my ability to report honestly about my body. This is blatant and insidious misogyny, and Rink should lose his ability to access the charts of any female patients for the rest of his life. He should not have the ability to work with any victims ever again. He should not be in medicine. Hospital staff asked me about the rape, and Rink pounced on that information - I never would've told him I was assaulted, as he had already raised his voice at me by this point for asking questions about his proposed "treatment" (only antidepressants, which time.com says is a toxic, widespread, and misogynistic practice that sexist doctors use to invalidate disbelieved chronically ill women). Sexual/psychological history is supposed to be protected information in patient charts. I feel violated a second time, as he used my assault that he learned about without my knowledge or consent to revictimize me, all because I had the gall to have been a victim, and to have trauma, pain, and a medical history that he wasn't competent, integrous, or academically curious enough to decipher. I believe he is hateful, profoundly judgmental, sexist (an accusation I take seriously and have never before levied against anyone), and deeply dangerous to the well-being of anyone he doesn't personally understand ... which will be many, as he's still in training. Iskin is the sort of woman who says she champions women's rights, but is actually a judgmental mean girl - she was even weirdly passive aggressive about my skirt. Please, if you're a woman, consider a different doctor. She's stereotypically medically misogynistic and does not believe women's pain. Despite having 9 weeks to prepare for my appointment, she read nothing about me, and then declared nothing was wrong because she saw nothing (!!). Her medical neglect and malpractice snowballed into the rest of the abuse I suffered at the UW. Her cruelty, laziness, and abject lack of care or consideration changed the course of my life. I wonder what it is about me that made Iskin decide to dismiss me entirely before even speaking to me. My age? My sex? My autism? My disability? ... we'll find out in court. The UW constitutionally changed how I feel about doctors: I was diagnosed with C-PTSD by a therapist who specializes in medical trauma. I feel so much fear that I no longer go to appointments without an advocate, which has changed my life significantly as I'm disabled and have many regular appointments. I'm confident I almost died multiple times during a string of UW hospitalizations involving spinal procedures with major complications. The UW is a misogynistic and incompetent organization with residents who hurt, maim, and kill. At the encouragement of my new medical team, I'll be suing, and speaking publicly about these "doctors" and the UW for the rest of my life. More in my previous reviews. (Don't listen to the reviews on the UW Medicine website - you can't submit reviews online and won't find a single physician rated under 4.8, it's corrupt. Turn to healthgrades, where these doctors have a 1 or a 2 rating.)
