Good food and service! Best part is that they are open later on weekends so if I have a late night craving for Thai, this is the place!

Great place. Food was delicious. Had chicken red curry and chicken spicy basil leaves with eggs. Spice level is spot on. Egg was fried the way I like. Crispy egg whites but runny egg yolk. Sorry. No pics. Was too hungry. Awesome service. Chill vibe. Definitely will go back read more

Small & simple decor. Delicious and freshly cooked dishes. No alcohol available. Wait staff was kind & in training. The restaurant was full and there were many takeout pickups streaming through the evening. Easily a go to spot if you live in the neighborhood. read more

Fantastic food! Small interior, so you may have to wait for a table, but that's worth the trade off for a delicious, quality meal. It's hard to find great thai gems like this place. read more

Really good Thai food! The Tom Kah gah had a lot of lemon grass and root in it and not a lot of chicken every bite had a chunk of the root in it which was frustrating read more

Food was amazing. Ming the owner was great. Place is small but worth the time and wait for the fresh food. Make Thai food in Tempe!

was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of chewiness, and the balance of flavors was spot on: sweet, tangy, and savory all at once. The portion size was generous, and the dish was beautifully presented. read more

The food was delicious, not a whole lot of places to sit though. If you can't find a seat they do take out. Waitress was polite and friendly as well. read more

Sala Thai Tempe - Drunken noodle w chicken spicy 1 - Thai Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I want to start off by saying, FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! The restaurant is small and it was very busy, which is a good problem to have! The issue was that they were very low on help. There was one server who was trying her best to manage people coming in, phone orders, driver pick up orders, cleaning the tables, taking the orders of the customers sitting down. She was doing her absolute best, but it's way too much to ask of one employee. And due to that we had to wait a very long time. Not her fault at all. Please please make sure there's more than one server/hostess on staff during busy hours. I don't know if we'll be back due to the really long wait time until we got our food ordered and when we got it. read more

Khao Soi was flavorful and beautifully presented. Level 3 was nice and spicy. Took me back to Northern Thailand (except for the price )

The food was delicious and the service was amazing!! Can't go wrong with the chicken skewers and the coconut curry!!

Amazing food and fun/chill atmosphere. Best Pad Thai and potstickers. Came Scottsdale from NN and I went with my daughter.

Simply put, amazing! After our original birthday dinner plans were canceled due to the restaurant closing early, we were delighted to find Sala Thai open just across the street till midnight! Even during a busy evening our food was quickly prepared and not a grain of rice was out of place. All of the dishes were incredible and the front of house staff was so friendly and provided excellent service. I made plans to come again while at the table. Could not recommend more! read more

Sala Thai Tempe - valentines menu carefully curated and perfected - Thai Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

This place is awesome. The food is a cut above the surrounding Thai restaurants with fresh ingredients cooked to order, friendly waitstaff, and chefs who constantly think of the customer's eating experience as if it were their own. This place understands excellence. The tasteful decor is a nice touch as well. Absolutely love this place. read more

First off, I don't think this is the same as the other Sala Thai in the valley. Sala Thai Tempe has a distinct menu that focuses on street food - think skewers, wings, salads, etc. They've also got the classic Thai dishes most of us are used to - curry, pad, fried rice, etc. I've been here a couple times now and everything has been fire! Most Thai spots in the valley trend towards sweetening their dishes too much. Here, they balance salty, spicy, sweet, and umami perfectly. The classic Pad Kee Mao was great with a nice little twist - veggies besides the usual bell peppers and carrots. Spice level at 4 was decent - definitely a touch above other Thai spots in the PHX area. Ladyboy wings were sticky with a sauce that encapsulates the balance of salty, spicy, sweet, umami I mentioned earlier. They were also very large and juicy - great appetizer for sharing. The Khao Soi was satisfying and had perfectly cooked chicken breast. Though I did miss the usual drumstick and pickles that Khao Soi usually has, it was still delicious. Spice level at 5 was solid. I'd say the spice levels are comparable to Soda Bun Thai. Last but not least, the Moo Ping Pork Skewers were a definite standout. Covered in a sweet and salty glaze, the skewers were grilled to a smoky crisp. There were some fatty pieces of pork in between the leaner cuts which helped the skewers stay juicy. The dipping sauce added a tangy, umami kick to the skewers which were laid on a bed of fresh lettuce and cabbage. EAT YOUR VEGGIES! Psyched to try out some more dishes. I highly recommend getting out of your comfort zone and ordering something you don't usually get here. read more

Went with some friends here. First time trying this place and I have to say this. Best thing I had in long time. The food was delicious because each of had different courses like curry, pad Thai , and the Tom yum soup. The service was amazing and friendly. Definitely coming here again with my friends read more

I've been here about 6 or 7 times since they opened and I am never disappointed. The food is amazing and is so flavorful. The Thai spices they use are incredible and the staff is so helpful on recommend levels and dishes. My favorite from here is the pad se ew. They add onions to it which is something most places don't do, which I love. The portions are very big and the price includes meat! I am also a fan of the Tom Kha coconut soup! It's the best! read more

I was so happy with this place!! It's very cute inside with such a nice ambience. Me and my husband love going to Thai food and eat it regularly. We just moved to the area and seems like there are Thai restaurants every two feet which is awesome. This so far has been our favorite! We came in when it was pretty busy and the staff was super accommodative and helpful even though there was a lot going on. We are very faithful curry eaters but decided to also do a noodle dish which is very unlike us. We got the drunken noodles and wow they stole the show!!! Sooo flavorful and a great amount of spice (we got medium). The Penang curry was pretty standard but a good portion and a lot of both meat and vegetables. What I liked best is that the restaurant seems slightly elevated but the prices are standard with any Thai place! Highly recommend! We will definitely come back to try some of the street food dishes! read more

The service is good. Very friendly staff. Ambiance is also good. I didn't like food flavors and the quantities much. I ate better flavored Curry noodles and yellow curry in other Thai places. Food is presented well, but the quantity is less for the price when compared to other Thai places. Thai recipe bistro is my favorite Thai restaurant so far. read more

Amazing! We got home from a Suns game and were really hungry. A lot of other places around us were already closed so we were just going to get fast food when we drove past the plaza with Sala Thai and saw their "Open Late" sign. We decided to give it a try and we were sooo glad we did. I ordered the BBQ red pork and it was seasoned so well. My sister got the red curry and absolutely loved it. To end, we shared a mango sticky rice and it was so smooth, creamy, and sweet all in one. The interior is also very cozy. We will definitely be returning again soon to try some of their other dishes! read more

I have been to MANY Thai spots in Tempe, Chandler, Mesa & and Phoenix and this takes the cake for Drunken Noodles. Heavy on the spice so I recommend choosing a level lower than you want. You can always add your own spice. Staff is professional restaurant spotless. Got takeout but look forward to visiting this cute spot in person! read more

THIS IS THE BEST THAI SPOT IN AZ! Their Thai tea, their street style food.. everything is so fresh and delicious. Nothing is oily - everything is made to order. It's so cozy in the restaurant and the owner is in the back cooking his ass off. We randomly chose this restaurant and now it's the next day and all I want to do is go back. We ordered the papaya salad (so fresh), penang curry, shrimp tempura, I can't remember the name but a spicy basil leaf with egg fried rice, mango sticky rice, THEIR FRY BREAD WITH ICE CREAM IS THE BEST THING IVE EVER EATEN. read more

Food is sooooo gooood love it here! Haven't been disappointed! I love the Beef Salad and the Mango Sticky Rice was delicious!

Fantastic Thai Food. This is a hidden gem in Tempe! Ordered multiple dishes and enjoyed everyone of them. Khow Soi, pad thai, and Larb was amazing and authentic!
