Texas Roadhouse - 8 oz. Sirloin Steak & Green Beans

It took us a while but we finally discovered that there was a Texas Roadhouse in Ashburn. We had…read morebeen to one in Mesa, AZ, a couple of times, so we were familiar with their setup. We were here on a Saturday for an early dinner, which turned out to be a good idea, as we were immediately greeted and seated at a two-top, which was just enough room for us. We were given some rolls. Each table has a metal bucket that has a bag of peanuts in it. Our server, Lily, came along in a timely fashion. She, like the hostess, asked if we had ever been to a Texas Roadhouse. We told her "yes," but not this one. After looking at the menu, we were ready to order. I ordered the 6 oz. Dallas filet, medium rare. It comes with two sides. I chose green beans and a baked potato. To drink, I had a sweet iced tea. My husband ordered the 8 oz. Dallas filet, medium rare. For his two sides, he chose green beans and a cup of chili. He had a Coors Light to drink. It took a while for our food to come out. When it did come, we both noticed the steaks were cooked to perfection -- tender and juicy. My husband thought the steaks were better than Outback's (they were also less expensive). The green beans were good, as they had some pieces of meat in them. My baked potato was well made. While we were eating, the manager stopped by to give us a coupon for a free appetizer. He even suggested we try their ribs next time. As dinnertime approached, the place got noisier and more crowded. We weren't surprised and expected it. We both agreed we would return. We recommend that management begin using hand-held POS terminals that can print receipts; this would speed up table turnover and payment processing.

The chicken was super moist and the breading was so lightly tossed, it nearly melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes were a perfect mix with my chicken. Service was very good. A couple of house managers came to check on us. Our bar server was attentive. We do enjoy eating at the bar because service is instantaneous.

We had a big group of 12 and our food/drinks came out quickly and we were able to split the check easily as well. I got the high ball, which wasn't that strong but was an okay starting cocktail that tasted like lemonade. I'd recommend coming here with a big group for good vibes!

As always, the food is delicious. I enjoyed my all time favorite Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, listed as an appetizer but I eat it as a meal. The various sauces and toppings really make this a meal for two or a takeout option for leftovers. Everyone else in the group enjoyed the flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The star of the show was our server in the dining room. She provided us tastings, made sure our beverage glasses were refilled and enlightened us with our free glasses of wine. If you come here ask to sit at Kristy/Kristins table.

Where do I start?…read more We've been coming here for years. Years. Even supported this business who could give a crap about their customers dropping down hundreds of dollars during Covid. And the respond that I get when I make one complaint, "thank you for your feedback." Ive never disliked a business so much as I do right now. We came for a group dinner. First, I called ahead because it was a birthday. I said it was a birthday and they noted that. When I arrived, told the hostess. She said okay. The waiter came to us. Never told us his name, specials nothing. Just taking orders. The waiter started bringing out checks BEFORE offering dessert or coffee. WTH. So I had to go back out, find him which I never did, and tell someone else im waiting for dessert for a birthday. She sent the guy in. My check was about $400. I was livid. You have one job and you cant even keep up with it. If you cant, you shouldn't be working there. I contacted this place a day later. No response. Contacted them again and talked to Nazlie who was absolutely useless to speak to. I told her everything. 2 days later, nothing. Sent another message. This person responds with we take your concerns seriously, our apologies. Are you kidding???? That's the response I get?? I decided to try one more time and reach out to the GM. Even worse. It took Crowe 2 days to respond. I guess they are on their own time to respond. Just like with their service. He said he talked to nazlie and "everyone asked for their check at the same time". So the GM insinuated its the customers fault. You have got to be kidding me! I cannot believe that such a "fine" dining place like this would provide a response. You already got $400 of mine and now you respond with saying oh it was the customer. Note to self, there are plenty of other steakhouse. I will be more than happy to give them my money. Customers, you all should do the same. This place isnt what it used to be. Clearly new management, a new GM and servers that need training. Absolutely disgusted and disappointed in everyone at DC prime and mostly GM Crowe.

Started with an espresso martini, a smoked Old Fashioned, and the fritto misto to share. Everything was really good. Then we split the lamb burger and the shrimp risotto for lunch. Both were excellent, although I think the risotto edged out the burger. Our server Mike made the whole experience. Before he even brought us water, he showed up with a bowl for Onyx. Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.
