Hibachi grills
Randal R.

Brought our 6 year old grandson here for his first time. Day before Valentine's Day and had the whole place to ourselves. Sushi and hibachi food was all very good and the chef was entertaining for our grandson (typical routine but still very good and engaging). The restaurant is clean especially compared to other hibachi type restaurants we have been to. Prices were as expected. We will definitely come back again

Eating

The food was pretty good they got my friends order wrong and took away her shrimp and gave her a mountain of fried rice. they tried to gaslight her that she was wrong but they have her shrimp in the end. The servers and chef were nice and the seating arrangement is organized. It was fine

Every time I go to Ashburn to visit my uncle, he takes me here. I love hibachi and have gone to many restaurants for it. Nagoya is at the top with food and service. The ginger peanut butter salad dressing is out of this world! Last time we were there we had Karuna as our server, she was great and made sure we enjoyed our experience. Which we did immensely! Thank you Karuna, and Nagoya for giving us such great memories (and food!)

Super bummed to write this review, but if you care at all about trying to dine indoor safely during COVID, DO NOT come here. This was our go to spot for so many years. We especially adore a few of the staff and have been here countless times, but the concern and safety measures they are putting in place for Covid are APPALLING. I feel bad for the staff. I get it. You gotta keep the lights on and pay the bills. But outside of staff wearing masks, they are literally doing nothing. Packed lobby. Packed tables. Packed house. They're not following the guidelines every other restaurant we've been to is. Shocking to me that this many folks feel safe eating at bar seating/same tables with strangers. It will be a long time before we return. Just can't support this in good conscious.

We've been going to Nagoya for years since I was a kid, had the best experience last night with Chef James!

If you have plans for dinner, literally cancel them right now and get Nagoya instead. Best restaurant in town. Their takeout is great too.

I wanted to buy some items while there, but I was stuffed so I plan to come back soon. Next time I will try a pizza. The menu literally has something for everyone. The service is warm and efficient. I went on a weekend during lunch time so it was a bit quiet, but as soon as I sat down to eat the people rolled in to buy their meats and cheeses. Great atmosphere! I think I've found a winner;)

I wanted a few slabs of cow for Christmas dinner but I was procrastinating in ordering and shopping. A few days before my Christmas dinner I walked in and was greeted and served by an amazing staff member. She educated me on how to cook, what to buy and even gave me a small discount. The cuts of meat purchased are all Prime cuts. On Christmas Day, we enjoyed our "cow" slabs as they melted in our mouths and no knives were needed. The Prime Standing Rib Roast was outstanding. The NY Strip Roast was perfect for the one person who enjoyed it. Finally the Lamb Chops were devoured by a few people even though it was purchased for one person. This shop has survived times of COVID when people were not in store shopping. The community rallied together to keep this gem alive. They now offer Pizza special notes, kids crafting and taco Tuesday's. They offer pre packaged fresh meats, wine bottles, drinks and other ready to make products. Visit them, it's a fun shop and the staff is great.

We have tried…read moremany of the restaurants in Ashburn but have ended up at Original Steakhouse for a host of reasons. Their kids menu is adequate and he can always get kid-friendly food that he wants. The little guy is very picky and eats like a kid and OS food works for him. He especially likes the hot sweet dinner rolls that we always get before the meal. The atmosphere is great in the bar. I've been going to OS since it opened as "All-American" long ago (under then questionable ownership). The bar with projectors showing sports all around you with a large traditional bar in the middle with plenty of taps is a great room. (ASIDE: I always found it odd that they installed 4:3 aspect ratio screens and it is mildly annoying that all the TVs are stretched. Just show the HD with bars on top and bottom please. Stop with the stretching please!!!!) The prices are fair and low. They always have specials and have a great happy hour special that lasts longer than most of the competition. We can get out of there with two good meals and ice cream for the little guy for $10-15 less than even the cheap local chain restaurants! PLEASE keep the place affordable - going out to eat is SO EXPENSIVE in Ashburn and I dislike fast food; it's really nice to have a good sit-down restaurant where I can get a beer and my son can get a Shirley Temple and both of us eat a good meal for under $50.

Then another 10 minutes came the steak, they initially gave me a baked potato instead of a sweet potato initially but they fixed it quickly upon being told. The steak was cooked to a proper medium temperature. My strip had good seasoning, however the quality of it kinda tasted a bit cheap (not much marbling). Service was kinda bad with the waiter not checking up on us and waiting over 15 minutes to get the bill even though it wasn't that crowded. Overall I was not blown away, and perhaps a bit disappointed with the quality and taste. Food(50%): 5.2 Staff/service(25%): 5.0 Value(25%): 6.0 Overall: 5.4/10

As always, the food is delicious. I enjoyed my all time favorite Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, listed as an appetizer but I eat it as a meal. The various sauces and toppings really make this a meal for two or a takeout option for leftovers. Everyone else in the group enjoyed the flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The star of the show was our server in the dining room. She provided us tastings, made sure our beverage glasses were refilled and enlightened us with our free glasses of wine. If you come here ask to sit at Kristy/Kristins table.

Nice, roomy restaurant which never came close to filling up on a Saturday lunch. Booze was tasty but lotsa ice. Kids meals were likely the best deal. Seemed like they were really short staffed which made table service rather slow. Hostesses weren't very welcoming nor that helpful. Kinda just stood around chatting until they were required to act when customers walked up to them to get help. Kitchen staff was hopping! But. The food. Um. Not yum. But not entirely horrible either. Seemed like a lot of stuff was from the night before. Warmed over yet not hot nor warm by the time it got to the table. Stuff under the heat lamp too long got over cooked while the stuff underneath the overcooked stuff was lukewarm to cold. Would think one couldn't mess up donuts, but these were fried in old oil (probably from the night before since we arrived at opening). Blobs of bland dough that were really dark on the outside but gooey, mushy, and not thoroughly cooked on the inside. That bitter taste from old oil really ruined any hope of enjoying what sounded delish on the menu. The donuts were rather disgusting. In general, the food just didn't taste really fresh or mouthwatering. Salty, maybe. From the bread to the entrees, most everything fell flat. An expensive flat. Worth the drive? Overall, while we had good service minus the hostesses, the food & value just doesn't warrant giving it another shot, which is disappointing. It's a place you'd want to really like, but it's missing something significant that makes you want to return to give it one more try. Just wish the food had been a lot better.

Once for my husbands birthday and then for his best friends birthday. Always a group thing that the guys get very excited for. We visited, and our service was bad. Never introduced himself, told specials, nothing. Then, because it was his birthday, I actually called the restaurant earlier in the day to plan a dessert. NOTHING CAME OUT AT THE END except for the checks. I ran out to tell someone, no waiter in sight. Finally told some lady who sent him over. WTH seriously. So before I put a post on here or really started fuming, I took the decency to contact the restaurant. After I gave ALLL the details (more than this), they said okay we'll research and get back to you. Nothing for 24 hours. Sent them a message as a follow up. Nothing. Finally "Nazlie" sents me a message basically apologizing. THAT IS IT. Are you kidding me??? As much money as your restaurant makes, an apology is all I get for a special birthday??? PS my bill was not cheap and we had several us. They probably made about 2k in 1.5 off our table. I was livid and I told her that and of course no response. Take my money elsewhere. Not sure if they have new management, but the management is terrible if that's what they are going to respond. NOT HAPPY.
