One of us ordered medium and the other medium rare, but there was no difference between our steaks. A little too rare for me.

This is a place I go to often, and there is always something that could be better. I wanted to try their brunch and wasn't pleased with the selection. The steak and eggs sounded like a good idea and we'd start with the caramel donuts. Everything tasted pretty good, but the eggs were on the cold side and the streak was not done. I was already disappointed with the time it took to get our order in (those seated after us were taken care of ahead of us - two tables if not three) and to get our food, so I didn't want to return anything to the kitchen. I recommend trying the Scarletto wine as it was very good. The mimosas are good as well and at $5 each during brunch, that's a good deal. Be sure to get reservations because it gets very busy around noon.

I absolutely love Coopers Hawk. We are wine club members and get complimentary wine tastings and wines bottles to go each month. The food there is delicious. This place is a go to American restaurant for me.

We are wine club members. We regularly wine and dine here. The bar is our go-to hang out. We have had too many bad experiences in the dining room. BUT the bar is great. Sitting at the bar makes for a good experience. We enjoy wine and bourbon. Their cocktails are also a good option. The best part of dining in the bar is the staff. Several of the staff are regular. Those we have just recently encountered are also very attentive.

Very solid place for dinner. I got a non alcoholic wine and a non alcoholic cocktail both were really enjoyable. The seating is comfortable and the service was fast and friendly. I liked that they had healthy options on the menu under a special section it made selecting what to eat easy. My friends and I also split the Brussel sprouts which were at 10/10! We also got the chocolate cake and bruschetta. I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken off the healthy menu and it was really good! A bit soupy but still good. I would come back to try more on the menu!

After a long day, my husband and I wanted to try the Cooper's Hawk in our community. We made reservations, as it was strongly suggested on a Saturday evening. We arrived a bit early, but were seated rather quickly in the bar area. The football games were on the televisions, the atmosphere was pleasant and our waiter was everything you didn't know you needed. He was warm, comical and very knowledgeable of the menu. He recommended some options, which we really enjoyed. At the end of our dinner he gifted us with a dessert, welcoming us to the neighborhood. Don't want to use his name but he was a very charming young man and he made our dining experience top tier.

Salmon and mashed potatoes with broccoli - sad and dry.

Food was not good and order incorrect. Ordered: chef recommended item seasonal menu- pork chop with potato's and a fruit chutney. Asked if the item could be modified to include potato's but not the sauce. Was advised after checking it was ok I did offer to pick something else. See pic received small burnt looking protein with no potato's and a died up sauce/fruit relish and one stalk of broccoli. Also ordered salmon with potato's and broccoli- fish was dry. One key lime pie - best item. Total was prior to tip 84.77 Worst food I've had at used to be one of my favorite spots. We do not have a location where I live so I have always been happy when I travel for work and there is one close by until now. Order placed at 8pm arrived and paid around 8:40 and still waited until 9 for subpar food. Date ordered 01/13/2026

This place was packed, and it's no wonder why. The bar area was especially difficult to wade through to get to the host station. We were on the early side for dinner, but it quickly filled in. I love the pretzel bread with the soft butter. The surf and turf options allows for a choice from 3 from each column, so you really can get the exact right dish you want. The scallops gratin is so buttery with a great crust on top. The churrasco steak was tender and juicy. The smores budino is a truly special way to finish off the meal. With layers of toasted marshmallow, rich chocolate pudding, and finely ground graham cracker crust was an elevated experience of the childhood smores treat. The tables were kind of packed in close, but the service was great, and all the food was delicious and came at a reasonable time. Great place for family and friends to meet up.

The bar service and new servers have really declined at this location. Our family came to celebrate an anniversary. We have been Club members for almost 10 years. I hate eating in the dining room because you never see the servers once you're seated. This past dinner was no different. Our wine never arrived until AFTER our dinners arrived. How does a wine restaurant not serve their wine before you eat? Ridiculous. I have complained about this beverage service numerous times but it's never improved: Food is very expensive so it's not like we are waiting for pub food. I'm not sure why the multiple bar staff can't pour a glass of wine.

I went to this location for brunch. It wasn't packed at all. The service was a little slow but the waiter was very friendly. The food came out hot, the portion sizes were good, and it was seasoned very well. The only downside about the brunch menu is it's mostly an a la carte menu. You'll have to order eggs or bacon separately as a side. The ambiance for brunch was great. It was family oriented, there weren't a lot of people, and it was calm.

Seared Atlantic Salmon (life of balance menu) Very dry, overcooked and underwhelming for 26 dollars.

I'm very happy that we decided to give another chance to this restaurant. Everything was great,I was vey impressed by their wine list,so many rare to see options of wines. I tried ahi tuna entree, with sticky rice and yummy Asian Cole slaw, was very tasty, especially two types of sauces they offered to compliment tuna. Portion was on the small side, but everything was balanced out and delicious. My family enjoyed steak trio and skirt steak. Next time we will try appetizers to share, they looked great.

I want to start off by saying what a great experience! Last night we went for my mother's birthday! And what a great overall experience we had! We made reservations but arrived an hour early as my family is members at Cooper's Hawk which allowed us to do the tasting for my family. (TLDR (to long don't read) they offer monthly memberships for free wine tastings, discounts, and bottles, depending on the level of membership) So we had the opportunity to sample eight wines! It was a great time as the server was very friendly and informative of all the wines that we sampled! Following that we had a reservations for dinner an hour later (but cut it close with all the fun we were having with other patrons and amongst ourselves at the wine tasting) we got 2 appetizers and 5 different entrees! They were all fantastic and had us asking for more! Some things I want to highlight the server did a great job of speaking to some of their personal favorites and fan favorites on the menu that helped us in our decision making. They also were very accommodating to allergies, with the head chef coming out to ensure that everything was still too perfection! Overall we had a great experience, from the moment we walked through the door, that had us planning our next family gathering at Cooper's Hawk. The one caveat I will add is that they were also very accommodating in conducting a birthday celebration while we were there. We were able to bring in a cake prior to the reservation and the server was able to bring it out, but fun fact the staff is unable to sing so plan accordingly, depending on the type of celebration you want to have!

They had one marked for families and one for adults. And it is indeed dog friendly. There was plenty of space for dogs outside with a pet station. The day we went it was very windy so we headed straight inside. The tasting area is open and they have clear covers on the openings to keep the warmth from the heaters in and all the crazy wind and cold out. We opted to do a tasting and Emma assisted us. We did the traditional tasting and were able to try three reds and three whites. It seems like there was something to everyone because folks had different favorites. Emma talked us throihh each selection and happily answered all our questions about wine. After our tasting we were hungry and decided to get two pizzas and some dips. I also tried their cider which was yummy. The pizza was good, we had the mushroom flatbread and pepperoni pizza. Both were yummy or we were really tipsy lol! The icing on top of the experience was the live music. There was a musician singing and playing the guitar that really set the mood. We sat down inside, sipper our drinks, ate our food and played games. Hope to come back with the dogs in warmer weather.

Came up to Leesburg, VA a few months into the new year 2022…read more The place is a corner business on the South road into, and out of, Leesburg proper. Leesburg 'Gourmet' was a business selling very expensive German wines, overpriced (import) chocolates from Belgium, 'beer' from all kinds of new englnd joints (for the tourists I suppose) and mugs, saucers and beer taps.. To me 'Gourmet' was just a little bit oppressive and too haphazard. Let me explain. I made some way obnoxiously priced purchases from the gal behind the counter - then half way into that the phone rang. Then the gal yacked. Then while I was chatting, some 'beer guy' came in with what just looked (and reeked) like a cooler for fishing and tried to sell the place MORE beer. It was too yokel for me. The chocolates I bought could have been found any place in D.C. and there was not much in the way of courtesy after spending $25! The place was NOT ACd and the owners (I was told) were off golfing some place.. Typical. This gourmet turned into a phone-booth, which in turn became a chat-shop, hiring fair and finally a lost corner storelet which bank-rolls some ritzy local couples' mid-week bonanza in other states.. There was one clammy person running this place. Review: 3

Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

I loved that you could build your own flight. I enjoyed my tasting. I loved that she let us try everything, even though the tasting was set for 5 wines. I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.

The review does not reflect the fact I did not get to try their wine, but rather the way I was treated when I attempted to plan a trip to visit the "right" way** We were driving past this spot on a nice Sunday, coming home from a family lunch, and thought why not stop in? I did not have a reservation because (as mentioned above) I wasn't aware of needing one and I wasnt sure when I would be able to stop in as I was just passing by (we live 1+ hour away). As we pulled into the long dirt road, the front gates have no clear sign that says 'By Appointment Only' - perhaps a good add before your clients drive up a steep unpaved road to just be turned away. None of the vines appeared to be in use so the drive up may be more beautiful one day when the grapes are on the vines. The parking lot is a bit cramped and full of fancy cars, giving us a taste of the type of clientele that would be inside. We came in and I inquired if I could do a wine tasting. The staff member told us we needed a reservation but that he would do his best to try to see if they had space - totally fine. My mistake again- I did not realize that this winery required reservations (no other winery I have been to in Charlottesville, Middleburg, or NOVA has done so) so my first assumption wasn't that I needed a reservation. Again, no sign at the front that says this and would have saved me time. The space was obviously gorgeous, the views spectacular and it felt very Napa and upscale. The staff member returned back and told us they couldn't accommodate us- ok, disappointing but ultimately is what it is. I asked the two staff members standing there how early they recommend making reservations, as we dont live in the area so I need to plan ahead. They told me it was hard to tell but that basically any time it's warm, it will be hard to get a reservation and that "Saturday visits are a pipe dream" and Sundays are "pretty impossible too". They then kindly told me "you could try to snag a reservation maybe a Thursday or Friday". Mind you, their hours are 12-5 on Thursday/Friday...I live an hour plus away, let alone with traffic. I guess my only options are to take off work to come visit as it seems there will be no chance for me to ever get a reservation for 2 on the weekends.... Needless to say, it felt like the staff really could care less for our future business and we politely left. The staff did not offer to help us book a future reservation or anything of that nature - just a snooty response that I probably shouldn't bother every attempting to return on a weekend. Hilarious enough, I decided to look up their website and low and behold - they had tasting reservations that same day at 3 PM (45 minutes after we first asked about a tasting) - no offer to us to wait or come back to return, just basically turned away. Cherry on top- they have tons of reservations open for future Saturdays and Sunday. If you don't want my business, you dont have to tell me twice. If I want to deal with pretentious folks, I'll fly to Napa and drink wine actually grown onsite.
