Food was very old.. service was okay. They did have a great selection but very bland.. It has gone way down over the years.

Look, it's a massive Asian buffet, so you can't expect gourmet foodprepared to your exact specification. But, for what it is, this place really isn't too bad. I had their sushi (wasn't brave enough to tempt fate with their sashimi), fried butterfly shrimp, stir fried zucchini, onion rings, and some butter cookies filled with jam. the fact that it was so crowded men the food turned over quickly, and new batches of food over continuously being cooked and brought out. There wasn't a lot of service; this is a buffet, after all, but the server that was working in the area where I sat was always hopping around clearing dishes and filling glasses with water and soda. This place is noisy and dirty. When you first walk in there is a small junky fish pond that gives of a terrible fishy odor then when you see the cashier station and hosts stand you can see how disorganized and messy this place is. We were seated right away, even though it was crowded, because this is a huge place with lots of tables. When I went to go to the restroom to wash my hands before we sat down I had to wait for a few minutes and I had a chance to notice a few things around me. First, the staff use the back of the dinning room for their lunch area as well as a food prep area. While I was there I saw two men sitting at a table preparing, what looked like, crab Rangoon (wontons with cream cheese). The problem was that they were using their bare hands, no gloves, and at one point one of them was brought some paper money by another worker. He handled the paper money, put it in his pocket, then proceeded to prepared the food again with bare hands. No washing, no sanitizer, nothing. Also, don't ever go around 3pm because apparently all the cooks go on lunch then and the food is left to disappear without being replenished. When we got to the Buffett almost everything was pretty empty and when I asked about a couple of things they said it would be about 10-15 mins because they were all eating. Sakura usually offers alright food for your money. Your drinks are usually kept full, which is a major plus in our family. But in my personal opinion a Chinese buffet should not serve non-Chinese style foods. For example at Sakura they also serve pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, and onion and mystery meat quesadillas. The atmosphere is equal to a female high school student's used car; blaring Keisha and talking AS LOUD AS THEY CAN. Let's just say there's a plethora of ethnic diversity among clientele but the vast majority of customers are native spanish speakers so, naturally, their children end up doing whatever the hell they want wherever they want and mom and dad are completely oblivious to the existence of discipline or to the effects that their loud and obnoxious children have on other patrons' dining experience. Everyday there are 3 or 4 tour buses that show up packed to the gills with Chinese tourists. They fill up the restaurant pretty quickly around lunch time. I also feel like I'm going to be robbed when I leave the restaurant. I once saw a Latino man selling bootleg DVDs out front. read more

3.5 stars. It used to be 4.5 I've eaten here at least a dozen times. Each experience has been different, and that's not necessarily a good or bad thing; the food just changes up often. For a buffet its great. Lots of variety and tastes pretty good. If your going to a buffet looking for amazing food then GTFO. I hate hate hate buffets but my wife made me go and I am surprised that I am planning on going back. Food was good, was able to try lots of different types of food I normally wouldn't. Staff is friendly, is a pretty busy place but not to bad. Kid will run around but that's a buffet for you. You do feel the staff is staring at you all the time but its only because they are making sure they get dirty plates off your table fast and keep your cups full. It's needs a update in decor but I didn't mind. Place is overall very clean, except bathroom. It was my first time there and to help you out here are tips to make it easy: 1. They seat you 2. They keep your ticket 3. They get your drinks for you and fill them up aswell 4. Eat all you want! They food is all labeled, except sushi. 5. When your done ask the buser for the check 6. Expect to tip! First buffet I've been to that you tip busers 7. When done and have check, pay the cashier at entrance. I wanted to go here for their Mongolian BBQ as it is the only place in town to go to. I understand that I went on a weekend and weekends get packed, but the chef in charge of the Mongolian Grill was absolutely rude and did not want to work. He was too lazy to restock the meat and was yelling at customers when they tried to pour their own sauce. The food was crap , dry and stale . So dirty we complained about it and they overheard us and they stayed stalking us all the way until we paid . They saw my mom had three plates and followed my mom the ENTIRE time watching her every move. When my mom grabbed four beef ribs to feed HERSELF, MY PARTIAL RETARDED BROTHER AND MY SON . That is three mouths to feed. Love the pictures on their website but is false advertising. It's just stuff that we can eat for a veg aquariums. So we just eat seafood but enjoy other things you know sushi, shrimp maybe crab legs, but they don't tell you what's in the rest of stuff. My fiancé and I were pretty excited to try this buffet as they had plenty of seafood options. Everything was very bland and all the seafood was overcooked. The best thing we had was the mashed potatoes and the fortune cookies when we walked out. We left feeling sick and not in a good way. Honestly the whole restaurant would be a lot better if they put a little more effort in with food and service. Service wise we got in quick but never got refills or had anyone check in with us or give us our bill (we ended just walking up to the counter and checking out). One server cleaned a table next to us and left a huge mess of jello, rice, ice cream cones, noodles, and big chunks of fruit. He knowingly just walked away and continued doing other things, 10 mins later one of the other servers noticed it as she was passing and thankfully cleaned it up. So, I came here again and thankfully the refills weren't charged. The ice cream was delicious as so was the food. Only issue was that the lemon fish seemed too fresh and had a piece of paper stuck to it but it was just a small issue the rest of the food was delicious and it wasn't as busy because it was a weekday. I would give this review a 5 if only they had the capacity to fit everyone in. I guess that isn't a bad thing but with a hungry 2 year old the wait can seem longer then desirable. However, the food was great, plenty to choose from and a half way decent sushi bar. The waitress was very patient with having a loud child and even stopped by and shared (playful) stares with my son. Tips: 1- Drinks- If you have a child or children bring your own drinks they only have fruit punch, sprite and lemonade. 2- Chop Sticks- Not saying everyone likes chop sticks , but I do so when trying to find them in a Chinese restaurant I had to hunt them down instead of having them next to the sushi bar. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon just after 11am. The price was $16.20 for the meal and the drink. I was hesitant to come here after reading the reviews. But I've been stuck working out here for the past few weeks and had a rainy day so I was able to come and check the place out. It's ran down and slightly dirty. Nothing terrible but noticeable. The food was all you see at other Chinese restaurants/buffets. Overall taste wise was not something of familiarity. The taste of the food was not well. Mostly cold even after just arriving from the kitchen. The quality was poor (food wise). It just didn't taste of to basic Chinese cuisine standards. You pay before you eat they have people monitoring the buffet lines and as well they keep track of the amount of people at your tables. It just feels like they believe you're going to steal a extra wanton or put the cheap "silver wear" in your pocket or something. Personally I wouldn't come here again and I would suggest others should not unless you're really hungry or you lost your taste and smell from covid. read more

I came here for lunch out of curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised to find several tasty items and a very reasonable price. For under 8 bucks you get all you can eat lunch with fresh salad, fruit, multiple entrees (chicken, beef, pork, fish, etc. prepared in a variety of ways. The place is very clean, and the food fresh. There were a couple of items I didn't care for, but the majority of things I selected were quite tasty. If you care about your health and well being, do not come to this place. The food is not sanitary and the service sucks. They don't wash their vegetable throughly and the meat is not fresh. I almost broke my tooth due to a stone in their uncleaned shell fish. No apologies at all and no refund. Worst buffet I have ever experienced. Regular lunch price is 8.39+tax per person, but they sent me a bill of 47.99 for four people without telling me how the bill broke down.
