Well food and service was just okay. I chose the buffet this evening but I wish I had followed my first inclination to order off the menu. I was surprised at the use of paper plates for the buffet. Got to try their buffet for the first time. Good service in a very relaxed atmosphere. They have a variety of Chinese entrees, one kind of soup, and some fruits for dessert. Not the typical 100 different dishes that all taste the same but I think their variety is good and quality was not compromised. Particularly love their sweet and sour pork and pork barbecue. I've been coming to Hong Kong for years. Food is always delicious and fresh! Their orange chicken is always great, crispy, and perfectly cooked! Their egg rolls are delicious as well! The family that runs this restaurant is very nice and friendly. Their buffet, which is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, has many great options. Their phone ahead orders are always quick and easy. The only complaint I have is the high prices.... The food is great, but definitely bit expensive, in my opinion. Food was delicious got my husband and I Mongolian beef with steamed rice and chowmein. Asked for extra spicy and light veggies it was perfect. Also ordered potstickers. I don't know if they changed owners or what, but it's a little bit different than before covid. Customer services good but it's not as excellent as it used to be. The food is just as good as ever if not maybe a tad bit better. I noticed the difference in the texture of the sweet and sour pork and fried shrimp. They were always good but they seem to taste better now They have also returned the buffet although it is only Friday Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully they will be bringing it back during the week. They're quick and easy. It used to be better. Through experience you'll learn what to trust and what is so so. So so for example is their dumpling sauce. The dumplings themselves are good but make your own sauce with some soy sauce, rice vinegar etc. Also so so is the fried shrimp. Puny pieces wrapped in gobs of batter. More batter than shrimp. Sweet sour chicken & Orange chicken is the same stuff different sauce. On the positive side the house Chou main is good as is the house fried rice. The restaurant itself needs a facelift. Old dirty carpets and aging wallpaper for decor. read more

The service was amazing, no other restaurant compares to it in that regard. Food was delicious as well, my wife and I were looking for a quick hot meal and stumbled across this place on Yelp. The place has been here for decades, furniture is a little worn out, but the food definitely is not. We ordered the house special fried rice and chow mein, also the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, bbq pork and broccoli, pot stickers, and fried shrimp. My family has been coming to this restaurant over the last 30 years . Yes it has changed owners & the name has changed . But what hasn't changed is the customer service. I'll say this is the best this location has ever had . the girls there are super sweet & my cup is always full I never have to ask for refills the staff is super attentive. Can I just say the buffet is literally thee BEST it has ever been . My aunts & uncles (as they are all bothers & sisters that get together here in Wasco for dinner ) frequent Hong Kong atleast 2x a month . this place opened back in the 1980s and was named Mings. it later changed it name to Hong Kong. I believe it had many owners thru out the years good and bad. We got food from them today after many years of avoiding this place. I can say the food is excellent. had the ginger beef and sizzling soup. hope the present owners will stay awhile. read more

Found this little gem on Yelp while in town for work. Huge portion, especially for a lunch special; definently enough food for two. The chow mein was some of the best I've ever had. Excellent Chinese food! I have been enjoying this family owned restaurant for years. I went recently with my family and we ordered various dishes we shared, including orange chicken, broccoli chicken, honey walnut shrimp, salt & pepper fish, egg foo young, soup, & egg flower soup. Everything tasted amazingly delicious and so fresh! I was so excited to see the large portions of food and smell the aroma of the mouth watering food that I forgot to take pictures. We were in Wasco for our daughter's volleyball game and stopped here for dinner. It was a great stop! The atmosphere was very pretty and relaxing. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything tastes homemade. The wonton soup was so very good. We also tried a lemon chicken which was very different from anything we had eaten before. Delicious! My hubby and I both agreed it was some of the best Chinese food we had ever had, who would have thought in the middle of Wasco! I've had better Chinese food. I ordered chicken teriyaki but it looked so gross that I couldn't eat it. They served me so much food that I felt so bad to just throw it away. I ended up giving it to my dog. My boyfriend on the other hand orange chicken. It was way better than what I had ordered. Services was great, can't complain on that. Very relaxing and lonely. This place has gone downhill. It used to be great food, and customer service, but that is no more. We ordered quite a bit of food for our large family for pickup. We were missing an order chow mein, and fried wontons. I served the plates and we all sat down to eat as I called the restaurant to make them aware of my missing items. He checked with the kitchen staff and verified. My options were to a)come back and pick up my food today or b) get a credit for the next time. I decided to go back today in order to make sure there was enough food for everyone. As I was on the phone two people in my family made faces at the sweet and sour pork. I can see on my husband's face he was having a hard time chewing, I took a bite and immediately complained to the guy on the phone, the pork was hard, chewy and tasteless. It seems as if the pork was fried and fried again. This time my option was to bring it ALL back and he would remake it or bring it all back and he would refund my money. I asked if I could take back what was left which was one full box of the pork and 1/3 of the other which he wouldn't accept. I had already served 9 plates and I wasn't willing to scrape the plates and return to the restaurant as he also said he could not guarantee the food would not taste the same, and I may not like it. At this point I chose to not make trip back and to not order from them again. We've never had a bad experience her until today, but when the customer service is bad, we chose to not support the business. read more

Sunday buffet: I got salt and pepper fish (not sure I'd order it on the menu but good enough to keep going back for more), string bean shrimp (the string beans were really good), egg flour soup, pork fried rice (pretty good), orange chicken (good), sweet n sour pork (wouldn't order it on the menu), pot stickers, and egg rolls. There were other items I didn't try and a cold bar with fresh fruit. They are back to the original owners and I couldn't be more happy! I used to love this place and it went downhill for a while after they sold. Now that the original owners are back they've remodeled and brought back all the original recipes I loved! So glad that I can share with people that it's amazing food again! Will be back! read more
