I was surprised at how good their buttered fried shrimp was! Really great! These buffet type places often have mediocre food that taste like it was made for American tastebuds. The meat is always breaded and fried, with the sauce, added it afterwards that's true here, but it's definitely not above the average Chinese buffet. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise! We decided to have a change from the normal panda express and we are so happy we did! I haven't been to the location but we ordered door dash and it was delicious! Haven't found a better Chinese food spot in Bakersfield in my opinion. The food is really good and it's always busy. The employees are really nice I have never had a bad experience with them. The food look to be made fresh and there is always food available so I never have to wait. We usually order party trays for big events and they are very affordable considering the amount of food they give you. I believe I spend $20 for a big tray of chowmein which is really good. I've never dined there but they do have lots of tables available along with trays for you to eat. read more

I usually encounter friendly staff at this place but when I went on 1/24/26 at approximately 2:35pm I got a snobby lady taking my order that had an attitude. I asked for half chow mein & half white rice and she puts on fried rice, when I tell her it was white rice she gave attitude and said "you mean steamed rice" and rolled her eyes. Customer service was alright overall.. yet they did not ask if my order was to dine or to go.. they automatically just bagged it and didn't offer me any drinks. Didn't get my moneys worth because the food wasn't good. The place was not so clean. Tables were still dirty.. had to wipe it down my self. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Orange chicken was yummy, butter shrimp was tab bit too sweet, and garlic fish didn't taste like garlic nor had any seasoning(this is still better than too salty since I can easily add salt).... but overall, I had a good experience. I gave it 4 stars because, I'm not too sure if this is always the case but all the times I have the chance to go it is so packed and the line goes outside and I can't find a seat. Used to really good. Went yesterday . The chow main was like they used scrap noodles. Or they broke up spaghetti noodles before cooking them. There really wasn't even any noodles in the chow main. It was all cabbage & bean sprouts. I think there were 5 pieces of bbq pork & maybe 4 or 5 pieces of sweet and sour chicken. If I would of opened and looked before I paid for it & got all the way home . I would of taken it right back. The cream cheese wonton s were burnt & had no flavor. Came in today for lunch since my daughter has been craving chinese food. It was crowded when we arrived so i assumed its must be good. It was clean and most of place was full so i decided to give it a try. Came up to the counter to order and it all looked good so i decided to order the kung pao chicken and fried rice and chow mein. The chow mein was a little soggy and the fried rive was a lil burnt. The chicken well didnt look like what i have tried before it looked like it had food coloring or something not enough peanuts or red chile. Anyways the price was great for a 1 item meal but i only actually ate all chow mein since i was really hungry. I will not be coming back and if i do i will try something different. read more

Panda Wok. Avoid it around the first and you're good. Besides that I love the food it's really good. If you have ever been to Panda Palace on Oak Street you'll find that the food is "similar". I recently asked the owner if he owned the Panda Palace on Oak and it turned out it was his twin brother. Pretty cool. The chicken wings at Panda Wok is a cheaper version from Panda Palace. The service is pretty quick, but like I've said avoid it on the first and you're good. I made that mistake and I learned quick. It gets pretty busy around then and people are out the door.
