    Koi Fountain

This wasn't the most pleasant dining experience. This restaurant was formerly known as Super King Buffet, then Sakura Buffet, and now Jade Buffet. However, there's still the unlit "Welcome to Super King Buffet" light and the table notes and napkin holders both have "Sakura Staff" or "Jade Staff" on them. Their uniforms say "Sakura Buffet" too. The ambiance and consistency could use improvement. Upon entering, there's the cashier and a koi fountain. The fountain is in desperate need of cleaning. The algae has consumed the entirety of it. You must walk up to the counter to pay and then seat yourself-- good luck. It's a bit difficult to navigate the restaurant when customers are frequently up and out of their seats. I feel like the amount of traffic could be better handled by having a staff member guide you to your seat. The food is okay. Every dish is just like any other buffet. One special thing about this place is that a noodle chef can cook noodles for you, but the line is pretty long, so I didn't bother.

The food was decent however, it was not it for me. The sushi here was very disappointing, I tried a bite and found myself spitting it out. The service seemed okay, a lady helped out with the dishes after I was done with my meal. The ambiance of this buffet felt unsettling, with the fact that there are fish out in-front by tables where you to eat.

The main reason for the stars was the stir fry that you can get prepared by the chef. It's almost like this salad bar but for chow mien/pad thai type of noodles that you prepare yourself. All different meats, veggies and noodles and once done, you give it to the chef to cook it in front of you. The buffet food is okay, I had a few of the different options including fish, chicken, fried rice, french fries, and most of the typical buffet items. I do remember the wings being over cooked. None of the food was really special but for a buffet, it's a buffet. The server/bust boy in the area cleaned plates very often and kept it nice looking in the area. Overall I didn't like the outdated decor and lack of beverage options. This isn't a place I would've gone to on my own, I came with a friend. I feel like they were worth the review based on the noodles alone.

Used to come here with the family every couple months. Once the crab started to disappear it wasn't as exciting. But wasn't too bad still after all and the price stayed reasonable. Haven't been back and maybe a year. The setup and entryway has changed I think for the better. Probably to accommodate more people and to reduce the number of people probably sneaking in and out. The price has now gone up to about $22 per person at least Friday evening. Thanks for now included which I guess works if you want drinks. If you don't want drinks then you get the added cost. There is entirely way too many people for the amount of staff. Also the quality of food is lower. Things like ribs or refrigerator cold as well as a shrimp. Food items at least look like they were getting filled regularly . Stuff like California rolls were still not too bad. Ice cream a nice addition still. Lots of families with crying babies. A bus load of tourists of probably 30 people also entered. Which added to the already crowded business. My wife and I had to walk around to look for a spot and eventually asked a waitress who opened up a section for us. That filled up quickly. Quality of service and food I think is going to drop if not already. Entirely too many people for the staff. I feel bad for the koi fish. Lots of hands being stuck in the water that we're not the cleanest. Watermelon was warm like it was sitting in the 100° Sun before being put into service. Too many little things to mention but this will probably be our last time coming here.

Look at the horse tail ahaha LoL

    1) Food - It's a typical Chinese buffet. Food is just ok. Nothing really special making us to come back. Sushi bar has a very limited items. My highlight there was the vanilla ice-cream in a cone!! It was more like a milk ice-cream that you get in Asia which makes it so special for me. 2) Staff - very efficient, polite, and hard working staff 3) Environment - it's clean and nice decor inside.

All banana and maybe a 1/2 cup of strawberry filler. Mostly bananas tho

Super disappointed, food was always late to be replenished, They only brought out 1 tray of crawfish, even though there was many wanting that.. the fruit was hard Desserts were a joke. The way the buffet looked it's like they are out of money and bought as cheap as possible, it cost me yet again $100 for 2 adults and a teen and an 11 year old.. it used to be a decent place, now its went to shit.. has been the same the last 3 times ...we won't be back...

One thing I noticed was the mix of different tables and chairs throughout the restaurant. There was a mistake with one of our rolls, but the staff handled it well. They quickly remade the roll and brought us a replacement at no charge, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was a custom roll with jalapeño, avocado, and asparagus. I added cream cheese and had it deep fried, and it honestly tasted like a sushi version of a jalapeño popper. It was absolutely amazing and something I would order again in a heartbeat. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Good food, good service, reasonable prices, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely recommend giving Kuma Sushi a try.

We had dinner here and it was both of our first-time. I really hate that I have to give this place a 4 but it's because the spicy edamame was not to my liking and they do not carry pineapple soju. The food is definitely a must try, especially the beautiful yellowtail sashimi. The seafood yakisoba was so delicious. I did not care much for the baked salmon roll, Love Sushi takes first place for that roll and Prime Sushi take first place for spicy edamame. The crazy tuna roll I ordered was so big! The crunchy pieces on top can stand to sit in some absorbing paper towels because they were a bit oily but went well with the Tuna dance. I personally did not care for the bluefin tuna. Overall my babe and I enjoyed our dinner and will most definitely return for more.

Instead, I'm paying premium prices to sit under fluorescent lights and question my life choices. The "Combo" Math that Isn't Mathing Then there's the pricing logic--or lack thereof. Why does a chicken and steak combo cost 20% more than the steak plate alone? * Standard Logic: A combo price should land somewhere between the cost of the chicken and the steak. * Kyoto Logic: "Since you want both, we're going to tax your indecisiveness." Either they have zero respect for their customers, or they're catastrophically bad at math. I'm betting on the latter. Honestly, I could buy a Blackstone grill for the cost of three or four visits to this place. The "Service" (If You Can Call It That) To top it off, the customer service is abysmal. The staff acts personally offended by your very existence. Even the older gentleman--who I assume is the owner--is the worst of the bunch. He radiates a vibe that says, "I hope you choke on that brown rice." Final Verdict: This is the last time they get a dime from me. I'm taking my business to my backyard.

I'm glad we did, because it gave us a whole new feel for the place. Inside isn't massive, but it's not cramped either. Think of it like the Goldilocks of restaurant spaces: just right. The vibe leans calm and cozy, dim lighting, black walls, and splashes of color here and there. It's got that "peaceful sushi zen" atmosphere without being boring. Our waitress deserves a medal (or at least an extra roll on the house). She was the only one working the floor, yet somehow managed to be friendly, attentive, and efficient all at once. Multitasking level: expert. Now onto the food, which is really why we came back. We ordered a spread: two teriyaki chicken plates, one chicken ramen bowl, an order of sushi crunch rolls, egg rolls, a large pineapple sake, a beer, and two iced teas. (Yes, we came hungry. Don't judge.) Everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh. The chicken was juicy, the rice perfectly cooked, and the little bed of veggies under the teriyaki chicken was tender-crispy and surprisingly addictive. Whoever thought of tucking those under there deserves a raise. The ramen had bold flavors that hit the spot, and the sushi rolls lived up to their name, they really were crunchy and delicious. Now, the egg rolls. Let me tell you, these might just be the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and stuffed with flavor on the inside. The kind that makes you regret ordering only one plate. Drinks? The beer was cold (and surprisingly affordable), the iced teas were strong and refreshing, and the pineapple sake... well, it was different, let's just say it's not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I'll stick to tequila, lol, but my husband happily claimed the sake as his new favorite. Win-win. Prices here are fair and budget-friendly, which is always nice to see at a sushi spot. The place was clean and well-kept, and I'm happy to say it still holds up just as well as when I ordered takeout years ago. Bottom line: Shoyu Sushi is still doing its thing, fresh food, good prices, relaxing vibe, and service that makes you feel taken care of. If you want sushi that crunches, teriyaki that comforts, and egg rolls that just might ruin all other egg rolls for you, this is the spot.
