Pho Đặc Biệt
Austin N.

Pretty good Vietnamese food. People are always friendly and food comes out quick. I'm glad to have a good vietnamese restaurant near me. looking forward to trying other viet dishes as well.

Had to add a rib from costco because they barely gave me any meat.

Was very optimistic this place would be good but the sauce and quality of food wasn't there. The fresh roll wasn't fresh and the peanut sauce tasted like water. The pork noodle salad had barely any pork that I had to add the leftover ribs I had from costco. Definitely not worth it.

What I got, very decently priced and the portions very big.

Have been trying to go here the last few weeks, the first time the restaurant was packed, earlier this week was closed for vacation (we all need those), today I understand why it was packed my first time I went. All the staff was very friendly. The food was amazing and they have such a large selection of things to try from there menu. The inside was clean and dinner style when you first enter then they have other rooms that are more restaurant mom and pop type place.

It's been a while since I had Vietnamese food and this restaurant reminded me of how much I missed it. The spring rolls were served very quickly and tasted great! The pho was delicious- flavorful broth, good amount of meat, etc. It was also my friend's first time eating pho and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. On the side, my friend and I shared a Vietnamese coffee which was another great choice since we had a long road trip ahead of us. The servers were fast and friendly which made our dining experience even better. Will be coming back if I ever swing by Fort Wayne again.

Food was okay; wonton soup was not the best tasting. I'll give this one another chance in the future. Service and space was amazing though.

Beef ball and steak pho

It was a chilly Friday and all four of us were off work and school. We needed some warm lunch and a big bowl of Pho was just the thing. The tables were spread apart and they were taking every precaution to keep customers safe. The warm egg rolls were spot on and will be some of the best you ever taste. The menu is gigantic with several different varieties for every tastebud. The broth always makes the Pho dish and Saigon's is one of the best. Nice amounts of bean sprouts, limes and jalapenos were offered on the side. Great local "dive" for when you're downtown and there is a chill in the air.

Restaurant review FORT WAYNE BEST: VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT I had tempered my expectations after another experience at a different Vietnamese restaurant that had rave reviews on Yelp, but I was not disappointed. This is a traditional hole in the wall restaurant with great authentic Vietnamese food. I was surprised how friendly the staff was when we came in with a large group, they quickly rearranged two tables to sit our larger party. The server was quite friendly and took our menu orders without any problems. Food was served promptly and most of all the Pho soup was amazing. Clear, complex, and not too salty or sweet. It did not seem to be flavored by MSG soup mix where you leave feeling super thirsty. My number 13 pho had eye round steak, well done flank, fat brisket, and tender tripe was simply amazing with the right balance of protein and noodles. The noodles themselves were cooked well without being congealed into one brick and I drank every last drop of the soup. To top off my meal, I had the Vietnamese sweeten ice coffee, I made sure to ask if it came in a can and they told me it was fresh drip-brew. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was brought to the table still dripping. My only problem was getting it into the other cup of ice. I can't even describe in words how amazing the taste of the coffee! Pros: friendly staff, amazing pho broth, fresh ingredients Cons: bathrooms that are not so clean, street parking limited Hidden deals: None

Best Vietnamese food in town. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired but the food is worth it. Order noodle bowl 5.

Always consistent quality food. Everything else can vary depending on the day. Great little Vietnamese hidden gem in downtown Fort Wayne.

The stir-fried noodles are seriously to die for and one of my absolute favorites, but honestly, everything we've tried has been top notch. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and just SO good! You can dine in, but Kim Vu has become one of our go-to takeout spots when we want something delicious without cooking. It's one of those places you're almost afraid to tell everyone about because you don't want your hidden gem to get too busy! Absolutely love this place and highly recommend giving it a try!

Kim Vu (Dupont & Coldwater) - best spring rolls in town…read more Simple review today. In my opinion...Kim Vu has the best spring rolls in Fort Wayne. Each roll is $2.85. The roll is decent sized and filled with fresh and cool ingredients. The roll also features several pieces of moist pork and tasty shrimp. The wrapper is a bit sticky but holds the contents together very well. The roll has a very attractive appearance as well. The peanut sauce is very tasty as well. It is somewhat thick so the roll can be dipped easily. The sauce has a nice creamy and bold peanut flavor. Overall it is rather mild in taste without a spicy kick. You have to visit Kim Vu to try the spring rolls!

The decor is typical 60s Chinese restaurant with red lanterns and murals, but it does have a great fish tank in the center. The staff are all super friendly. You will find the typical menu items but prepared better than you've had before. All the meals come with soup, both the egg drop and tomato beef choices are very good. I'm always here with my family and we finally learned to order a few entree's and a few appetizers because we usually ended up with far too much food. Some menu highlights are the General Tsao chicken, the pineapple chicken, the crispy rice soup for two is excellent. They also offer Vietnamese selections, several varieties of Pho, and pan fried noodles. If you're ever in Fort Wayne I highly recommend you stop in.

I've wanted to try the Hainan House for years. I've read their good reviews and made it a must…read moretry. I will say that these reviews led me to believe that the Hainan House provided a premium-gourmet product like Han Dynasty and Wu's Chinese. Hainan isn't in that top tier where the product WOWS you. But rather, Hainan is in that next tier down where some things are better than others. I ordered take out versus dinning in. The two elderly employees I interfaced with were very kind and helpful. The facility is easy to find as it is in the same complex as The Clyde. The building is older, in good repair and nicely decorated with Chinese decor (see pictures). Parking surrounds the building in an awkward manner - you will figure it out. The menu is very large (see pictures) as it is at most Chinese restaurants. Prices were fairly reasonable. My order was prepared quickly..so no waiting! The fried pot stickers were fairly standard compared with other Chinese restaurants. Not over cooked. Slightly oily. Tender wrapper and pork insides. It came with a dip that added flavor and moisture. The General Tso's sauce was very tasty. It was moderately thick, slightly sweet, a little spicy and stuck to the breading nicely. Nice taste without being sappy sweet or spicy hot! The chicken pieces were larger than bite size. This made it difficult to eat as I had to cut each piece into small enough pieces to eat with the rice. I found the chicken to be somewhat over cooked and slightly tough. The breading was thick and absorbed the seasoned sauce taste perfectly. The Happy Family sauce was very bland. It coated the meat and vegetables nicely keeping them moist. However it really didn't do much to accent these items. The vegetables were nicely cooked with a slight crisp. I was disappointed in the amount of meat placed in this dish. It felt like I was lucky to get more than one piece of each seafood item. These meats were cooked to expectation - moist and tender. Overall this dish was bland and didn't impress. The white rice was cooked to expectation. Slightly moist. It was easy to pick up with the entree bites. Overall, make sure you understand the product you are getting. I expected a premium product which disappointed me. I might have a different rating if I dined in and selected items that fit the "next tier" level of taste.

I opted for the jack BBQ burger and fries. And we split spring rolls. The spring roll was fresh and huge. Sauce was amazing. The chili cheese fries were awesome and very good, the Golden soup had a multiple blend of goodness with all the ingredients made it hearty and delicious. It was hard to decide what to order, but definitely a good reason to come back and try again.
