Brand new restaurant and very clean inside. The decor is very pretty. A bit pricey for what you get but overall a good experience. The pho has a good flavor, do not like that you have to pay extra to get chili oil. service was friendly

The location is good. It is very clean inside, but seating is limited. Honestly, everything had delicious flavors, and the food came out hot and fresh. The coolest thing was the diner robot Y11, which brought us drinks and talked to us. Unfortunately, the prices were high compared to Bahn Mi Barista. Their Pho had a huge, deep bowl but was $18.99. I really went there to try the grilled beef Vietnamese baguette. Their $9.99 baguette on their website doesn't look anything like the one I got at the restaurant, unfortunately. I have compared the two pictures, as you can see in picture number one. To me, that's false advertisement! My sandwich was very tiny and barely had any meat on it!I really wanted to go back and try their spring roll flight, but I do not know if I will. I was really looking forward to this place because I love Vietnamese food, but it was a letdown to me, honestly.

This is a small building! Seating is very close together. When we visited they had a full house and were writing down peoples information for dining. We ordered an order of crab Rangoon this comes with #2 Crab Rangoon's for $7.00. These were nicely sized and crispy but hardly had any filling inside. The spring roll flight ($22.00) was great for trying the different protein fillings. Our favorite being the Korean bbq. The peanut sauce does have some fresh grated ginger in it giving a unique flavor. The pho ($19.00) was delicious, there is a hint of cinnamon which I personally was not a fan of but it was good all together! The house oolong ($6.00) was very good but they are 16oz sizes. Over all the food was good, the price was high in comparison to other pho places in town. If you're really wanting pho and don't want to drive far this is a good option. Service was good, but they were very busy so we were not checked on between bringing the food out and being ready to check out but the interactions we did have were great!

I've wanted to try the Hainan House for years. I've read their good reviews and made it a must…read moretry. I will say that these reviews led me to believe that the Hainan House provided a premium-gourmet product like Han Dynasty and Wu's Chinese. Hainan isn't in that top tier where the product WOWS you. But rather, Hainan is in that next tier down where some things are better than others. I ordered take out versus dinning in. The two elderly employees I interfaced with were very kind and helpful. The facility is easy to find as it is in the same complex as The Clyde. The building is older, in good repair and nicely decorated with Chinese decor (see pictures). Parking surrounds the building in an awkward manner - you will figure it out. The menu is very large (see pictures) as it is at most Chinese restaurants. Prices were fairly reasonable. My order was prepared quickly..so no waiting! The fried pot stickers were fairly standard compared with other Chinese restaurants. Not over cooked. Slightly oily. Tender wrapper and pork insides. It came with a dip that added flavor and moisture. The General Tso's sauce was very tasty. It was moderately thick, slightly sweet, a little spicy and stuck to the breading nicely. Nice taste without being sappy sweet or spicy hot! The chicken pieces were larger than bite size. This made it difficult to eat as I had to cut each piece into small enough pieces to eat with the rice. I found the chicken to be somewhat over cooked and slightly tough. The breading was thick and absorbed the seasoned sauce taste perfectly. The Happy Family sauce was very bland. It coated the meat and vegetables nicely keeping them moist. However it really didn't do much to accent these items. The vegetables were nicely cooked with a slight crisp. I was disappointed in the amount of meat placed in this dish. It felt like I was lucky to get more than one piece of each seafood item. These meats were cooked to expectation - moist and tender. Overall this dish was bland and didn't impress. The white rice was cooked to expectation. Slightly moist. It was easy to pick up with the entree bites. Overall, make sure you understand the product you are getting. I expected a premium product which disappointed me. I might have a different rating if I dined in and selected items that fit the "next tier" level of taste.

There was one older woman at the cash register who was to seat guests, take money, get the to orders taken care of and answer the phone. The latter due to the volume of takeout orders took precedence over seating people standing in line who were ignored and there were empty tables. After almost 40 minutes of standing and a group of 8 who had reservations that the restaurant wasn't set up for-it was a mess and a bad experience for them...we were seated. We weren't waited on for awhile as there were only two people waiting tables bringing out one dish at a time to the tables. They put out a bowl of rice that sat before their food came. Customers were angry and two stood and complained loudly at the service...a woman waiting for carry out was there for two hours! We received our bland food, cold appetizers after 8pm. Some customers waited and then got up and left before their meals arrived. They ended up setting the party of 8 by the entrance door and bathroom...I'm not sure if my family would be returning or not when they are empty of customers. Our waiter kept complaining that the customers were complaining to us...
