I love the vegetarian summer rolls! Very fresh and the peanut sauce is delicious. The Pho is tasty. I ordered the vegetarian Pho with tofu and veggies. The broth flavors are really good. I have been to the restaurant a good number of times. The service can be inconsistent. There have been times when service is very attentive. Quick. Personable. Other times I'm looking around wondering if the server was coming back. I have been there when the restaurant was pretty busy and service was good but then there was a time when it was just me and service was not quick. So I only give a 3. The service was so appalling to the point of being insulting. There was only one other table that was occupied, but they left shortly after we arrived. The waitress took our order and brought our food - that was it. She never once came over to our table to check on us. Not even to fill our water glasses. We were finished eating, just sitting there waiting and feeling uncomfortable with how we were being ignored. To add insult to injury, the waitress sat down, at a table with two other co-workers, and proceed to eat her own lunch. Even though she was facing our table, she never ONCE glanced in our direction. I live about 30 minutes from this place. There is a Vietnamese restaurant about 5 miles from this place but they are inconsistent. I usually get the Beef w/ Vermicelli noodles, Beef Pho or Summer rolls from this place. I enjoy going here because their food is consistent. read more

My first time and I was pleasantly impressed by everything! The service was excellent- The food especially was impressive considering that they had to make my dish using alternative sauces due to my food allergy. Wow is all I can say! If you accept nothing less than the most flavorful, authentic, mouthwatering, MIND-SHATTERING Pho experience, then DON'T go to Saigon palace... Because you'll never want to go anywhere else again. The delicious and savory goodness is always perfectly combined with ingredients so fresh you'll want to go live with your uncle and auntie in Bel Air...but you probably won't, because you won't want to live any further from this heavenly pho temple than you have to. Decided to try this spot for lunch one day, always hoping for the best we ordered the Crispy Spring Rolls and the Summer Rolls, both were good but the Crispy Spring Rolls were very small. Also ordered the Crispy Calamari that was Not very Crispy and the Sautéed Mixed Vegetables, again it was good, just nothing really stood out as being Great...we will definitely go back and try something else but was not very impressed for our 1st. experience here. read more

Amongst the pho restaurants in Glen Burnie, Catonsville, Columbia, and Annapolis, this place has the best pho. The noodles fully cooked but still slightly chewy so you know they haven't been sitting around too long. The bean sprouts are usually fresh though have on occasion been maybe a day old. Their goi cuon has both shrimp and pork and have never tasted like they've been sitting around for a few hours like some other places sometimes do. The portions are enormous. The decor is quite nice. The prices are, however, slightly higher than other pho restaurants. It's a short drive from Annapolis, but if you're looking for good pho, this is the place to go. Disappointingly, they didn't have durian or custard apple smoothies or plum soda. Also, don't wipe your hands with the hot towels they provide after your meal. Just take them when they're offered and pretend like you're going to use them later. If you do use them, your hands will smell a bit like a mixture of sweaty locker room and metal. read more

4 of us had dinner here on a night that was not at all busy. Two ordered appetizers (only) and were served in good time; two ordered a main dish each (only) and had to wait, wait, wait, wait--really close to half an hour before our meals were served. My husband and I have made it our life's work to seek out the best pho place in Maryland. We've been sadly disappointed by many in the past but Saigon palace was not one of them. Although the crispy spring rolls were smaller than usual they were tasty and the perfect treat before our pho arrived. Our pho arrived large, fresh, and piping hot. The broth was delicious with an adequate amount of veggies and meat. We each ordered a boba tea which was the best I've had by far. The avocado was smooth, creamy, sweet and delicious. The only reason for not receiving 5 stars is that the bathrooms were lacking. The women's room was old, rundown and appeared to have not been cleaned in sometime. The decor was similar to most other pho places and not anything to write home about. (Although I did appreciate seeing the football games on vs cnn news which seems to be on in every other pho place we've tried). The service was friendly and very casual which for lunch was just fine. I've been to Saigon Palace a few times, and have to say the food is absolutely outstanding. The pho may be the best in the county and even the state (and I live for pho - it is one of the most complex, comforting, and culturally exciting things you could eat). The servers are extremely friendly and efficient, and you can even enjoy a bia 33 (Vietnamese beer) with your meal. While VN Noodle House in Crofton wins for their roast quail, I think you really won't find a better overall Vietnamese food experience in the area, the people are awesome, and the prices are excellent. What more could you want? (okay, better decor and wine selection and all, but really, its a pho joint... a very, very good pho joint...) read more

I love the pho here. I'm also a fan of the spring rolls, summer rolls and calamari appetizers. I don't go there much in the summer, but I'm looking forward to some steaming pho once the weather gets cooler! Service can be a bit weird sometimes, I've been there an hour before closing and we were told to hurry up and eat. Come for the food! read more

I wish i could give this place a 3.5 stars because that is what saigon palace is. Don't get me wrong the food was great and for a good price, but the atmosphere was awful. At Saigon Palace I had the pho noodles which was very good. Pho is a noodle soup. Each bowl of pho is prepared with thin cut meat on a bed of rice noodles with a dash of cilantro and green unions soaked with a savory beef broth. It also comes with a separate plate of crispy bean sprouts, which gives the noodle soup a tasty, crunchy, earthy refreshing taste to the soup. It also comes with mint leaves which adds a nice subtle minty flavor to the soup. It also comes with a lime to give the soup that extra flavor. If you feel like you are missing something in the soup you can add some siracha sauce to spice up the flavor (i do not recommend because i do not like siracha sauce) or you can add a sweet Hoison sauce to sweeten up your meat (I recommend), for just a little more than 7 dollars. Although this might sound like a fantasy food world the atmosphere can be predicted from the look of the restaurant from outside. As I walked in I was confused whether we should be seated or seat ourselves, but with the blank stares from the staff i assumed we seat ourselves. As the young waitress came up to take our orders i could not hear what she asked, or in that case if she asked anything or was humming a toon to herself, but with the continued blank stare towards me i realized she was asking for our orders. After we ordered i realized that she didn't ask for our drinks, or maybe i just didn't hear her say it. We got our food in reasonable time and my friend and I ate our delicious meals with a very bright lamp blocking my view and the awkward sound of Guy Fieri on the TV. When my friend and I finished our meal we waited for 10 minutes for our check and a box. We wanted to ask for it but the waitress seemed more interested in her friends eating then getting paid. We finally got to ask for the check and a box, but when she came back with only the check we had to ask for the box again. She continued to talk with her friends when we finally had to ask for the box again. Finally we could leave. This restaurant has great food and huge potential. If you want to go to a restaurant with great vietnamese food this is the place to go. With a few upgrades in staff and atmosphere i can definitely see this restaurant as a huge success read more

Since December 1, 2016, I have lost over 40 lbs. One of the things I did was to start going to Saigon Palace regularly for their healthy choices. I get #30, the Pho with tofu. Great Pho but the customer service is pretty bad, don't ask for anything extra or the waiter will just say no. I usually like my Thai Tea heated up and the former waiter would do it but apparently heating up tea is too much trouble for this place. I'm still confused as to why this restaurant came up when I searched Thai in the Edgewater area. I went in under the impression that it was a Thai restaurant and once I got in and looked at the menu I realized it wasn't. There wasn't one Thai dish on the menu although a previous review mentions Pad Thai (wonder where that was?) When I went back and looked on Yelp I saw that it's clearly listed a Vietnamese. Not wanting to be rude and leave, I stayed. The shrimp tempura was very bland and just seemed to be regular fried shrimp versus authentic shrimp tempura. I got the beef with broccoli over rice and it too was bland. Had way more vegetables than meat and when the sauce cooled it had the consistency of mucus and was not appetizing at all. All of the good reviews for this place mentioned Pho which must be the the thing to get here if you want to have a tasty meal. If I go back maybe I will try the Pho. read more

After experiencing a bad employee several years ago and giving a bad review, have continued to eat at this restaurant, as it is the only Vietnamese restaurant nearby. Have consistently been served excellent food and okay service. Some times it is very crowded and only one waitress, so service is extremely slow. The food however has always been great. My husband generally has Pho, my favorite it the Saigon salad which has grilled beef, pork, shrimp, summer roll, noodles and lots of herbs and fresh vegetables. The dressing is fantastic as well. Very slow service! Have not been back in almost a year because of it. It's too bad because the food is good. There is only one person taking orders and bussing tables and you can tell she is a little burnt out from it. Whenever the guy is up front, he just looks like he is not having a nice day. We've given this place many tries in hopes the improved but we gave up and vowed to not go back. We go to the Panda Noodle House or even the mall when we crave fast pho in the area. When we crave really, really good pho, we travel to Life Pho in Pasadena or Man vs Pho in Catonsville...these places are amazing and you get your pho in 5-10 minutes, not 30 minutes or more at Saigon Palace! read more

I've only ever tried three things here but they have always been very good: chicken pho, vegetarian summer rolls and a lemongrass tofu noodle dish (the name escapes me). My husband are here or get take out from here several times per month and we are never disappointed! read more

The food is good. I always go their for pho. I have tried the summer rolls, vermicelli noodle bowl and the papaya salad. They were great. Do try the papaya salad, it's not what you think it is. The customer service was horrible. The price for small teapot of jasmine tea is $2.50. Really?. The small size pho serving is fit to accommodate a child's stomach. Pho was amazing. Ordered the beef flank pho and lychee bubble tea for takeout. They packed the broth (cooked overnight!) separately from the add ons which is genius (no soggy noodles) and gave generous portions. The employees were very nice and gladly answered my questions.
