To speak more on the ramen itself, the broth leaned more on the thin, watery side rather than the rich, creamy pork bone broth you'd expect from a good tonkotsu. It was also a bit salty. Noodles were fine, al dente. The waiter kindly explained that the only difference between the "Tokusei" (deluxe) ramen and the classic version was an added egg, extra pork belly, and seaweed. That didn't feel worth the additional $5 to me, so I opted for the classic black garlic ramen and added an egg for $2 instead. Overall, I don't think transitioning to ramen was the best move, especially because their udon was so special. I've genuinely never had udon like theirs in the Bay Area, which makes it even more disappointing that they no longer serve it on their normal menu. I'm sure many others feel the same way.
