Safe Air Houston, Salesman Duane are a Godsend let me tell you. I had to replace a brand new, 14 month old Carrier 2-ton AC for my 2100 square foot home due to the unit being too small and in the heat of the day, set for 75 was every bit of 80 until 11pm before it cooled down again. The unit never cycled off and ran 20 hours a day, leaving me huge energy bills. I needed a 4-ton AC, my cheap builder didn't think so!! I entertained several estimates from well known AC companies and not so well known such as Safe Air Houston. Everyone was $12K-$20K and doing their best to up sale me. Not Safe Air Houston, they gave a military discount and their price was...lets just say lower than $10K. They did not try to up sale me at all. Duane's installation time were fast, efficient and professional. They covered the area with blankets and cleaned up their mess. They were in and out in a little over 4 hours. Now I can actually hear and feel the cold pleasant air blowing. I've been here 14 months and have never heard the air blow. In the heat of the day, the temp in the house is 73 and the unit is cycling off!! I would have never fathomed 73 was possible when outside Houston temp is 104!! We can walk around our home now and not have damp foreheads, we can turn on the oven during the day and not regret it, and I'm sure this next energy bill is going to start to decline thanks to Safe Air. read more

BUYER BEWARE this company is run by some of the worst management I have ever come in contact with. We had a new unit and all new ductwork installed on June 5th of this year and since then the unit has been excessively sweating, freezing up several times, and causing water damage in our attic. The unit itself has been corrected, however the new "duct design" by Safe Air is not compatible with the Trane variable speed unit (we verified this with a Trane Comfort Specialist). Since install we have had multiple conversations with the owner of the company who has screamed at us, told us that water coming into our home from the ducts is out of his scope, and he is now non-responsive to Trane and TDLR (the agency that allows him to be licensed in Texas). We have requested multiple times that he come and remove all of his equipment from our home and refund us and he has denied to do this. read more

The actual service if you're so lucky to get it scheduled and have someone show up appears to be decent; however, the customer service is abysmal. We used this company because they are a Lenox representative, but if I were Lenox I would be embarrassed to be associated with such an unprofessional organization. Customer service is atrocious and despite asking for a manager to call me I've received no calls. They gave us incorrect information about their maintenance plan, requiring an inspection first. The service tech came and said no inspection was necessary and he was there to perform our semi-annual service. We signed up for the plan begrudgingly after already being uneasy about the run around and were told they don't proactively call to remind about when service is due. And now we've wasted our day waiting for an appointment that was never on their books. RUN from this place. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! BEWARE! The owner to this company is the most unprofessional rude person I have come in contact with in a long time. Not only has he yelled at me, he has also belittled me. His sales technician told us in a text message that the ductwork in our house was and I quote "trash", and said that most of the ductwork would be replaced, which was not the case. We had our unit installed on June 5, 2026 and it has not worked properly since it was installed. No one in this company is capable of doing their job. I have asked for almost a week now for service receipts for the 4 times they have been at my house with no resolution. The BRAND new Trane unit is freezing multiple times a week, the plenum in the attic is water stained from sweating so much, and the wood on the floor under the unit is wet because the unit is sweating all day. Any time I ask the OWNER of the company any questions he does not know the answer and starts yelling at me telling me he does not like the way that I do business. We were told before the new unit was installed that with the ductwork redone we would have better air flow to the 2 problem rooms in our house and we have not. Our thermostat will be set to 70 degrees and it will be 75 degrees in the primary bedroom, and Safe Air says this is normal and expected. Crew showed up and was very polite, they were respectful of our home and covered the floors before they started working. They were quick and efficient but not rushed. I have spent over 40 years in commercial construction and don't know home ac installers after looking at reviews on many sites I went with Safe Air. The install is very neat and professional looking. I was quoted the same exact system by another company, exact part numbers etc. for 5k more. AC is never cheap but getting a fair deal is gratifying. read more

I waited a month to write a review to make sure I didn't have any hiccups with the installation but nope. My new HVAC system is awesome! Starting with Dave who initially helped with my first consultation, estimate etc. I sent a request for a consultation on a saturday night around 9:00 pm. I got a call back and an appointment set 10 minutes later. Very pleasant and thorough while walking me through the process. I had a total of 8 companies come out and give me a quote and SafeAir by far came out winning with pricing and warranty. The financing was a breeze and the crew showed up next day and knocked it out quickly. My Dad was there "supervising" as he used to do HVAC work many many years ago and he said the crew did a great job with the installation. If I had to say anything negative at all, it would be to say they left some black tar looking stains on the door and wood molding around the outside HVAC closet. Unfortunately, the stains were there to stay as they wouldn't rub off but a quick sand and paint took care of that. read more

I have no idea what's going on this with company, but my experience with them was an absolute joke, and a disaster. The tech, Ryan, told me in person that all I needed was a simple control panel and that it would be an easy fix, covered by my warranty. However, his report was completely different and completely contradicted what he told me. It stated that my system was completely rusted out, which is an outright lie, and it said the control panel was outdated and no longer manufactured, also a lie. Now my warranty company is refusing to help me based on this idiotic claim and is only offering to sell us a whole new hvac system. I truly feel as though they have robbed me of my time and money. Luckily I was able to quickly hire a more competent HVAC technician to not only order the correct part in less than an hour, but install it the next day. I tried calling the company to try to find a peaceful resolution, but was met with unhinged screaming and deranged ranting from 2 different employees. They were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional, and would not even let me speak. Very disturbing indeed. Instead of trying to fix this seemingly simple issue and make things right by their customer, they decided to lash out at their customers on social media and pretend that the issues didn't even happen. Very immature, and terrible business practices. They don't appear to value their customers in the slightest. read more

I had two Water heaters and an HVAC system installed in my house July 24, 2021, within months I notice white water marks on top of one of the Heaters, I called and a assistant there said they don't do Water Heaters and I told her that weird cause they just installed one a couple months back in my house she gave me attitude so I ask to speak with a manager and she said she would have them call me back. I remembered from the install the owner gave me his direct line so I called explained to him the situation, well he sends a technician out that has no clue on water heaters, tech then sends him a picture owner says he doesn't see any water and refused to take care of situation he also wanted to charge me a fee which I refused since they did nothing. I called in a professional Plumber who tells me they installed the system with the wrong parts and it would cost me $500 to get it fix. I am going to take them to small claims court and make sure everyone knows they don't stand by their work and subcontract people that don't know their jobs and SAFE AIR are so rude and unprofessional and don't cover the warranty. read more

The service technician came out and was respectful of my home and answered my questions. It was a minor repair, he moved quickly and informed me the whole way thru. These people are crooks and let me tell you why. I usually dont leave negative or lengthy reviews, but check this out. Where do i even begin.. My home warranty company sent this joker out to my home for a heating issue downstairs (i have 2 units). A guy shows up, doesnt look like your normal tech, owner maybe, but didnt introduce himself as either. He goes up in the attic for maybe 10 mins and comes back. First thing he says is, "i'm not trying to sell you on anything". Then thats exactly what he does. He tells me everything under the sun thats wrong with my units and why they both need to be replaced NOW. I had already mentioned that i wasnt in a position to buy 2 new units, i just needed the 1 fixed. Another guy shows up, he is introduced as the tech. He goes into the attic to look at it. Owner then calls the warranty company with all these BS issues, and now they dont want to cover the unit because its on the older side. I guess he thought they would cover new units?? Owner and tech leaves. Next morning, its cold upstairs. The thermostat has no power to it. Weird, my downstairs heater was the issue, they shouldnt have touched anything upstairs. Called my warranty company about it, They call Safe Air and the owner insists they touched nothing to do with the upstairs unit. Claims its a seperate issue and not their fault. That was a lie. They flipped a switch in the attic that provides power to the upstairs thermostat. My kids slept cold... thanks alot! They also proceeded to tell my home warranty that the tech showed up to my house first and was in my attic first to diagnose the problem, and that the owner didnt show up until later. Also a freaking lie.He was trying to sell me on new units before the tech even showed up and before they ever called the warranty company!! Warranty company now knows he was lying about everything. They have also called 3 times in 2 days pushing to set up a time to discuss financing new units. They are liars, pushy, crooked and highly not recommended. Called Polar Express for a second opinion. They came out for free within a few hours of me calling and spent the time to explain everything with me. Answered every question and addressed every concern. They are the ones that told me about the flipped switch. Not once did they try to sell themselves. Hopefully this second opinion will help clear up things with my warranty company so that they continue to cover my furnaces. Also all of Safe Airs reviews show they were left 2 weeks ago. I am so very thankful for safe area of Houston. My AC blown motor unit went out Two days before new year and I reached out through home advisor's and requested quotes from multiple businesses. However the most helpful and courteous of all was safe air in Houston. I spoke with Claudia who was beyond helpful with searching warranty information and getting me the best pricing to send a technician who came out New Year's eve and was just the friendliest technician I have encountered in a long time.
