    Richmond's Air remains as my #1 go-to for my air conditioning needs. They are fast, efficient, and budget friendly. They replaced my Ma's entire setup. Cooling, heating duct work, all the things. I have been working with them for well over a decade, and I've never had a complaint. My most recent experience was this week with a capacitor failure. It's been going out every year on the dot. So we're getting close to a point of overhaul (insert sad face). My unit was blowing hot air when I woke up, and that's when the sweating began. I put in a request through the Yelp at 5am (they open at 7), when they opened up for the day they scheduled me for a 12p appointment that same day. Spoiler alert it didn't happen. James, the owner, and his son David showed up at 9am to fix me up ASAP. A 20 minute fix. That kind of service is GOLD. This was fast, efficient, and not as costly as I feared. Though I will have to proceed cautiously as we're nearing the end of my unit's lifespan. And I will absolutely be working with Richmond's Air for replacement when the time goes. Give them a shot, they do great work!!! They have a discount when you go through yelp, and tell them I sent you.

    Richmond's Air is my go-to company for HVAC service and repairs. It needs to be said this is not my first time using them. I've used James and his crew multiple times over the past seven years. I've also used him at my mother's house when she had a major issue. They are prompt and more importantly, they aren't trying to take advantage of you when you call. If you need a new unit, they sell American Standard. My current home doesn't have American Standard but I have had it in the past. Obviously, if you only need a service call, they can work on any brand or manufacturer. Bottom line - Richmond's Air provides awesome customer service. If you're looking for a great HVAC company, look no further. They are excellent. An easy 5-star review.

    My journey with Richmond's Air first started in September 2023, knowing that my AC unit was 12 years old and hadn't had a tune-up for at least as long as I've lived here. James with Richmond's Air promptly came out and ran diagnostics. He noted that the evaporator coil had a minor leak, but offered to refill the Freon to improve the efficiency and keep it running. He did mention that I was running on borrowed time however, since this unit was likely nearing its end of life, and that I should plan to replace it in the near future. Fast forward to April 2025. My AC unit is now 14 years old. Coming home one night, I noticed that the thermostat read 81°, which was out of the ordinary for this time of day. I manually set my Ecobee to 77° to cool it down. A few hours later, the house still had not cooled itself down, so I went outside to check the unit and noticed cold air blowing out. A quick Google search informed me that there was something up with the unit. I quickly changed out my AC filters hoping this would be the fix, but unfortunately it was not. I reached out to Richmond's Air the following morning and they offered to come out the same day. James showed up in a few hours and immediately ran his diagnostics and found that the Freon level had dropped to almost empty. He mentioned that this was probably the same leak found in 2023, and explained to me my options. I could have him refill the Freon (temporary fix), replace the evaporator coil (would have to replace this again if the compressor fails), or completely overhaul the unit (most costly option). Option #2 didn't seem reasonable for the long term and my checkbook wasn't ready to replace the whole unit, so I went with the band-aid fix, knowing that I'd run my unit to failure (hopefully through another summer!). James once again kindly refilled the Freon back up to full. Got cold air again, thank goodness! Two days later, the same issue presented itself. Woke up from an afternoon nap and noticed the house being warm, showing 80°. I set it down to 76° and left to run an errand. Upon returning an hour later, I noticed that the house was still at 80°. Ran outside to check the unit and once again, it was blowing out cold air. Third time was unfortunately not the charm. I reached out to Richmond's Air once again and they promised to be here first thing in the morning. James once again came out and found that the Freon pressure was even lower than the previous visit. The leak had either worsened or the unit was on its last leg and not able to keep up with the Freon. I finally agreed to get the unit replaced. James informed me that this comes with a 10-year labor and parts warranty for peace of mind. Richmond's Air was completely booked until the following day, so I got on the scheduled and James graciously refilled my Freon once again to get us through the rest of the day and so that we could sleep in a cool house at night. On the day of my scheduled service, Alex called me when the crew was on the way, and they showed up right on time. They pulled up in their large trucks and vehicles and knew exactly what needed to be done. As the crew showed up, they introduced themselves to me and got right to work. That is top notch customer service! The crew immediately pulled out my existing outdoor unit as well as my evaporator coil in the attic. They placed blue plastic throughout the house so as not to dirty up the floors walking back and forth. The old unit was out the door within 30 minutes. Throughout the process, Alex kept me informed on status and was extremely professional. She had to head over to the next job while the rest of the crew was working, so walked me through payment options: either pay with her in-person before she left or pay over the phone once the crew completed the work. I went ahead and paid her in person and she was very courteous and explained to me the remaining steps of the process. The crew finished the full replacement within 2.5 hours, pressure-checked the copper lines going into the house to verify no leaks, and ensured that the unit was running as designed. They even installed a dedicated surge protector on the AC unit itself. Excellent QC right there. Afterwards, they cleaned up everything inside the house, up in the attic, and in the area of the outdoor unit. Everything looked pristine, as if they were never there. Before they took off, the crew answered all of my questions and told me that I could give them a call should anything else come up. I am now writing this review as I sit in my COLD house with a brand new unit and a much greater appreciation for a working AC unit. I hope this unit will last me another 12+ years, but at the very least look forward to a lower electricity bill from a more efficient unit. I will always be going to Richmond's Air for my heating & cooling needs. Top-notch professionalism and customer service from James, Alex, Max, Chris, and the rest of the crew.     James and his team are a combination of high level quality and family owned business values. They truly set out to help you and not just price gouge you in timed of need. Every dollar is worth it with this team. After struggling to cool 2 bedrooms, we received 4 different opinions and Richmond's Air was the most honest and helpful. They did some duct placement work on the plenum after realizing the original placemat of the duct was not ideal. The bedrooms are now getting 55 degree air after typically getting 70 degree air flow. The other companies were trying to sell split systems, more returns, etc. Not only did Richmond's Air figure out the real issue. They saved me thousands of dollars by not settling for the other opinions.

    Richmond's Air is seriously the best! I was selling my house when the inspection flagged the AC not cooling right. I created a Yelp project at 10pm, and the owner got back to me within five minutes. They had a crew out the next day--boom, problem solved! They replaced the evaporator coils at my old place the same-day. I also had them check my newly purchased home which the home inspector stated the AC was in tip top shape... when Richmond checked my new home's HVAC, they caught a tiny leak in one evaporator coil. No biggie--they sent their other crew and replaced it the same day as well. Thank you for the awesome deal on both jobs. Each crew was about six people strong, was super cool, professional, and looked like they loved what they do. No sketchy vibes, just pure hustle and ice-cold AC in both houses now. A+++++ Shout to Alex who came to both homes and supervised the job. When my buyer asked for warranty info the next day, Richmond's Air had registered the new equipment in their name and emailed us both the certificate within 5 minutes of my request. The buyer was so impressed they signed the contract on the spot. These guys didn't just fix my ACs--they helped me seal the deal on my home sale. Thank you!

He was extremely transparent and showed us the capacitor readings beforehand which it was at 0, confirming it was completely dead. After replacing it, he walked us through everything step by step to make sure it was done correctly. We're very picky about who we let work on our home, and Jesus was professional, patient, and thorough. We've owned multiple homes and dealt with our fair share of tradespeople, and H-Town AC & Plumbing is truly at the top. From Mark's quick response to Jesus's excellent workmanship, the entire experience was top-tier. Other companies should model their customer service after them. Highly recommend.

    I had Ruben (a guy with knee problem and a limp) come over to check a condo HVAC. He suggested a…read moretakedown of the entire system from the ceiling to determine if there was a Freon leak (found none, but charged me $500 without a receipt). He then proceeded to the roof (where the compressor is) and determined that the capacitor is bad (changed). He also said that there is a leak, as the Freon was empty. We had set the next day for his next visit to fill the system with Freon and add a dye (a leak detector), but did not show up after multiple calls. Got a different company for a recheck. The Freon was full, and there was a fuse removal/disconnect (in the control box next to the compressor) that was obviously done by Ruben (no one touched the system since the original installation). And guess what: the system fired up once the fuse was connected, and started cooling like a charm. In summary: Ruben obviously tampered with the power supply to make it look as if the system was dead. There was no need for take down of the coil cover to check for leaks, there was no leak, and the Freon was full. The guy is a liar and a fraud. Don't let him get close to your house. If there was an option for negative stars, I would give him - minus 10.

Get story in perspective: Sister-in-law is care giver for husband. Home was designed by him 45 years ago. Like us things fail , like our home furnace's. He said you really need to fix the furnace. The gas company had already turned off the gas to the unit in fear of a serious problem resulting. He wasn't allowed to turn it back on and said she had to have another furnace. We got wind of the entire situation here in Tulsa. OK, and reached out to Smart Air management. I was instructed to contact their individual in the field. After explaining who I was, he was very very helpful in working with me in getting a new furnace ordered and installed TODAY! Young mans name is Pete! I'll be forever appreciative of his professionalism. He handling all my calls and did exactly what was needed. Less than 24 hours after contacting Smart Air, they installed the furnace complete. Smart Air deserves 6 STARS! Caring gets Pete an extra Star! Oh by the way, they worked so well with me, they gave me a discount and tore up the check for the initial house call.

Pete was able to fix my issues & the repair did not break my bank. Pete was beyond professional and I would recommend Smart Air on his customer service alone. Hoping I never have to call Smart Air again but if I do I will be in good hands. This service was worth the value.
