Though my system is over 15 years old, Galen Beede made it perform like it's brand new, saving me a ton of money. I wish there were more than 5 stars, Galen and this company are lifesavers. Even a year after Harvey, my family and I are still putting the pieces back together and we had a cooling emergency. Galen and his team came right over and checked everything from top to bottom and found it was the smallest of leaks and what could have been thousands of dollars was an easy fix. He kept me informed during the whole process and helped my family out in our time of need. He really went out of his way. Besides knowing his industry, he is just a great guy. After suffering through three pitches for new a/c, I called Galen and expected more of the same. At this time I was so confused with a/c talk that I was ready to make a deal. He first just went up to the attic, saw the problem and took the action required to re-do leaky duct work. After being advised that one room was not getting enough cooling, he did notice a kink or right angle to the duct and straightened that out. He told me my system was fine except that I would want to change out the duct work and plentum (sp) at a cooler time. Charged a most reasonable amount for what he did today and will be the man I call when the time comes for changing the ductwork etc. Also if I then need to exchange the whole system. Noticed it was 83 in the house instead of the correct 71. Grumbled at the universe for a moment then remembered a neighbor had mentioned a nice A/C guy she has used. Called up Galen Beede. He happened to have a cancellation and was happy to come right over. Seems the stock capacitors in our A/C units are lucky to last 2 years, and mine somehow made it to 4, but finally gave up. He installed a new heavy duty one, checked the rest of the system out and said it was good, wrote me a very reasonably priced bill and the entire problem solved in less than an hour. Galen is an excellent HVAC Expert who can inspect your A/C and furnace and let you know exactly what needs to be fixed immediately (if a safety hazard is present for example), but he will be honest with you and recommend minor preventative repairs to save his customers money and help their HVAC equipment last as long as possible. Galen helped me get my HVAC system ready for the home inspector when I sold my house and he knew exactly what problems the inspector would find. Galen was able to fix all of these problems in an efficient and most cost effective manner and I was able to sell my house without any issues from my HVAC system. Amazing. They were the second HVAC company we called, the first one was through our home warranty and it was a terrible waste of money because they couldn't figure out the problem. As soon as I called Beede on the phone and described the issue, I was advised to immediately turn off my a/c from the breaker and that a technician would be out first thing in the morning. Quick Service, Quality Work, and Reasonable Price. We had family coming in from out of town and we noticed the upstairs unit wasn't cooling off. Called Galen on July 3, 2018 around mid morning and told him my rental property's ac isn't cooling as usual, Galen told me no problem he'll try to come that day or the next morning. The next morning on July 4th I got a call from Peter that he was headed to my rental property(he set up appt with tenant already). Found out the system needed a couple pounds of refrigerant. After being completely jerked around by American Home Shield and their unprofessional AC company (ASC Absolute Comfort- aka Absolute Joke), I found Galen Beede on home advisor.. called him at 8:30am and my outside unit was replaced by 3:30 the same day. Galen has been taking care of our heating and cooling systems for several years. He always tells you what you need and never pressured us to do anything. He has replaced both of our evaporator coils and added emergency cut offs for the catch basins in our attic (something that the builders were supposed to do when we built the house) and we have never had any problems since Galen and his team have been taking care of our HVAC ststems. Was having issues with our AC, they came the next morning during the hottest week of the year. AC was working intermittently which made it harder to diagnose but Peter still identified the issue within minutes. Repaired the unit and did the yearly inspection. He explained and showed me everything that was wrong instead of just saying parts needed to be replaced and forcing me to take his word.
