Sadie's is consistently good. Good food. Good drinks. Good service. They are quick and accurate. We both had the lunch combo plate. A taco, relleno and enchilada for $8.95. We could have shared and been satisfied, but then I like leftovers when I get home late. I love their beans, not a huge fan of their papas... Salsa is fresh and usually has a good bite to it. Rellenos are HUGE, as is pretty much everything there, except their sopapillas. Which I was fine with today as my pants are getting tighter by the day and I find it abhorrent not to eat all the sopapillas. What I don't like: Sitting in the huge back room. It is cold and loud. The table we were at was against a wall and tiny, we had to put the table tent on the ground to make room to squeeze everything onto the table. The bathroom was messy. Wow, that is really all I need to say. Fast, friendly and AMAZING food. My wife got the stacked chicken enchiladas and I got the pulled brisket burrito. All I could say is this was fantastic. And, the food came out so fast, I wasn't sure if it was our food or not. . The salsa had a great flavor as well, and had some heat. The red sauce on my burrito was perfect for me, and the green sauce on wife's enchiladas were perfect for her, with low heat. Love the heat at Sadie's! Went to Sadie's for a quick dinner and to catch up with conversations. Everything was on point, except one thing... We ordered Bloody Mary's and they were just okay. I ordered mine spicey and my partner didn't want the spice. There was absolutely no difference in taste. Come on Sadie's pick it up a little bit, get creative, add some vegies, bacon, celery, anything!!! A jalapeño would have been fantastic! It was just a plain ole bloody mary... Chips and salsa were fantastic! Then the dinner arrived and of course we were not disappointed! I ordered taquitos from the appetizer menu and she ordered beef enchiladas with Christmas Style chile. Everything on the menu is delicious! I'm always happy with my order at Sadie's. Our server was very friendly and accomodating. Our car broke down outside Albuquerque while on a road trip so we came into Sadie's for a quick meal while the car was getting fixed up. I love Sadie's food, quality is always consistent even between locations. Always order the chicken tacos which are amazing and they obviously get smothered in the fiery Sadie's salsa, yummy! Extensive menu, nice decor, good service. My stuffed sopapilla platter was excellent. But the ice tea was *terrible* - watered down to the point it had no taste. And sopapillas should be served or at least offered after the meal. Otherwise they are cold by the time you get to them. read more

It had been a while since my last trip to sadies. V maybe a decade. I remember good but crazy hot food. This trip we found good food but the temps have cooled off. Maybe that's good. We had the adovada enchiladas on blue corn tortillas. Wife says this was the best ever. We also had a chile relleno plate Christmas style. That was good, but not great. Kids had tacos and a cheese crisp, no complaints there. Good service. Nice to see things haven't changed too much, even if things aren't as spicy. Recommended for kids and adults. First I would like to point out the positive side, food is great!! Service was great also before March but now, the manager is super grumpy! His team that works the front desk on Academy not so much, cheerful To fault This leads me up to why we haven't been there since March. We were away when the pandemic hit, so we stayed away till now. We came back to our lovely NM home and are greeted with stares & grunts & a manager at Sadie's that was emphatic to the point of being rude! In the 6 years we have been going g there we have never been treated so poorly! Not that we deserve any special treatment but we are his customers! We are the mighty few that keep him in business! Will not be going back till he starts his happy pills and backs off all his made up rules! Telling us to check out the states website if we don't believe him. Don't worry we did, it is mostly lies! Since when are ESA dogs only pets? Since when are we kicked out of a place after waiting 40 min for a table only to be told the new rules are no ESA animals on the patio?! This is almost my favorite New Mexico restaurant. I had the taco Burger. It was the very good burger. I also had two house margaritas when it was happy hour. The margaritas were $5. They make the best margaritas in town. I would go back and have dinner there again. This time I would probably have a different Mexican plate. read more

I was traveling through NM (June 21) with the family and we stayed over in Albuquerque, so I asked our hotel's front desk for a recommendation for a good Mexican restaurant and was told Sadie's was very authentic. I read the reviews for Sadie's and saw that it was "pretty spicy" and thought maybe the kids would not like it, so I found another restaurant. I put in the GPS directions for the other restaurant but ended up driving right past Sadie's and decided that maybe we should give it a try and I am so glad we stopped. The service was fantastic as was the food. The salsa served with the chips was super hot, but tasted great, the chile con queso dip was very good. I ordered the beef brisket with the green chile which was fantastic and everyone enjoyed the sopapillas served with our meal. If I ever have the chance to travel back to Albuquerque I will make sure to stop at Sadie's again. read more

We get carry out and we also have been dining in for many years now . Our favorite is the Roberto Special, and for a long time it hasn't been the same. Not enough queso sauce, the little bit they put on the dish hardens right away and they dont even put enought chile. Very disappointed. read more

We requested a local favorite when we arrived in ABQ, and our hotel suggested Sadie's! We were more than pleased with the excellent efficient service, but above all, the food was amazing! The salsa was incredible, as were the queso and guacamole appetizers. At our table we had the brisket tacos, brisket enchiladas, and the chicken /cheese enchiladas. The meat on all was exceptionally tender and flavorful. The serving sizes were plentiful and the surprise of sopapilas at the end of the meal were the cherry on top. We were here on June 18th, 2020 for dinner with my family. They sat us quickly, the service was fast, as well efficient. Our waiter was very pleasant, and he got us everything we needed. The food was not up to par it's usually much better. The food did not taste fresh, and was not as hot as it should of been. My uber driver recommended this place. I think this is my favorite place ate at in ABQ when I was visiting. I had the tastiest plate full of food - chile relleno, potatoes, and beans and smothered in cheese and chile. In the past I've eaten here many times and requested the small nachos (which are huge) with queso instead of nacho cheese! No problem! They will shortchange you if you call in a big order. And if you call back to tell them then they will start telling you what the carryout rules are. So, what you get with your order will be different each time, so you won't know what the "normal order" is. I have done two carry out orders in recent days and both of them were wrong. I like this place and want to support them but they are making it hard. Also, make sure they charge you properly too. They overcharged me the first time. My husband and I chose this location because the service and food is always great. The one on 4th doesn't have the best service. We had dinner here tonight, it was great and the service was good. Only problem is that we had sugar ants on the table. We let the manager know and he was aware of the issue, he even claimed he replaced the honey containers to avoid the issue. I was a bit peeved that the restaurant was mostly empty yet they chose to seat us at one of the two tables that they claimed was an issue. I don't know, so I went to this one. The place is large and has plenty of seating. The service was great. The food? I don't know, not my favorite? I. Love. Sadies. I have since moved out of Albuquerque and I miss their salsa so much I asked my boyfriend to order me it as my birthday gift. Everything on the menu is pretty good, but my favorites that I order over and over are the green chile chicken stuffed sopapillas and nachos (MASSIVE portion, I swear they must lose money on them). Their margaritas are delicious, and their salsa is the best salsa I have ever had, and I'm a taco addict who has lived in California and Texas before New Mexico.
