I was disappointed…read more I just moved to Arlington Heights and needed to find a new nail salon. I came across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was easily able to make a same day appointment. When I arrived, no one was there and the shop was locked! I waited a few more minutes & called the shop and they said someone would be there soon. I'm guessing this place only has someone there if they have a scheduled appointment - however it definitely frustrated me that my nail tech was late. Once inside, I was impressed with the color selection and how nice and clean the salon was. The tech did a great job on my gel manicure and my pedicure. However, since I was the only one there she rushed me to leave and didn't check if my toes were dried- so by the time I got home all of the polish was smeared. I tried calling to schedule a time to get it fixed however never received a call back on the voicemail I left.

The deluxe pedicure includes a relaxing leg massage and a salt scrub for your feet that is very special! I like that they're polite here and staff has it quiet and serene in here. There is a large display of colors to choose from, including cat eye polish and I think I saw chrome polish too. The salon is clean, bright, and relaxing. No loud music or people talking loudly to each other. The TVs had shows on closed caption and showing different nail art ideas. It's a nice place to get pampered. I made a same day appointment. They were able to get me in within 25 mins of me calling and I appreciated it! The gentleman on the phone was friendly and helpful. I got a text right away confirming my appointment. I've been going to various salons for manicures for over 30 years and First Nail Spa is way up there in amazing service! My nails look fabulous! I went in with Gel-X nails on a few fingers, a couple of cracked natural nails, and no-chip polish on the rest of my nails. Everything was quickly and carefully removed gently. She took her time caring for my cuticles and nails! The attention to details was great! I walked out with strong, beautifully polished nails and moisturized hands and cuticles! The good news is, these plastic nails did not require using the dremel to chew up my natural nail like gel nails, so my real nails are intact. 10/29/2023 Gorgeous clean lovely relaxing salon with peaceful relaxing music and pleasant staff. BUT! My full set of nails lost the one on the right thumb in less than 24 hours, and the right index finger just came off. Since this was a vacation and we are now 40 miles away, I can't go back for a second repair. And this was a spa-priced service. I'm thinking they are having trouble recovering from the pandemic, because the five star reviews are much older than more recent reviews.
