But when it came to the manicure I asked for a simple design and she couldn't do it . She didn't have the tools and said there's no way she can do a design . Only one color nails . I got ONE party out of these nails and the cost was "$70 and up" (also had pedicure, do not remember exact breakdown of charges.) I was traveling for business and had some time to spare so I decided to stop and get my nails done here- TERRIBLE decision! It took over 2.5 hours for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. Additionally, 2 days later half my nails cracked and the gel started to chip. Since I was still in town I stopped back in to request a repair and refund. They did repair the thumb nail; however, 1 day later it's now chipped again. This was my first time at this nail salon... highly disappointed. I asked for dip. I chose 1 plain color and 1 sparkle color for the accent nail. BE ADVISED: they charge you $5.00 if you want 2 different colors, which I never heard of before, I was shocked. I had color on from my last nail appointment and they charged me $10.00 to remove color from my nails... complete rip off. That's almost double of what I usually pay anywhere else I've ever had my nails done. The most I've ever paid to remove nail color is $5.00. I paid $75.00 with tip for dip nails and NO DESIGNS. They do not do a good job with the dip, it's very thin and it looks as if I just got a no chip manicure instead. If they have such high end prices, they need to have high end customer service and accommodations. You don't get offered a drink when you come in, I didn't even get a hand massage at the end.... Definitely will not be returning to this nail salon. read more

PLEASE DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!!!! I have been a loyal customer at Botti Nail Spa for almost three years, but my most recent experience compels me to write this review. I recently left the salon with severely damaged nails due to the inappropriate use of an e-file to remove gel. My nails, which have always been strong and healthy, are now sensitive, painful, and prone to breaking. The following day, I returned to Botti, hoping for assistance or at least some form of acknowledgment. I was met with a complete refusal to help. The manager not only declined any form of refund but also made claims about his inability to contact the owner or issue refunds, citing that the owner was "on vacation" with no return date. In desperation, I also contacted other Botti locations, each conversation ending in tears and frustration due to their similar unhelpful responses. The lack of accountability and customer care is alarming and unacceptable. I write this review to caution potential customers!!!!!!!!!! read more

Overall I think it's a fairly standard nail shop. Came in here on a whim after getting a massage around the corner, to get a pedicure. They had time to take me, and it was a younger girl who worked on me. She was friendly and listened to my requests. Overall the pedicure was pretty fast (which i don't like, because i don't like when they rush, but these kind of shops they try to get as many people in and out as they can). There were a couple extra little perks like the paraffin wax on my heels and brief little shoulder massage, etc.. but all in all it was a pretty basic pedicure. No frills. If i were in the area i might try them again. I appreciate that they have individual massage chairs instead of those horrid flat, hard benches that run the length of the shop (talk about NOT relaxing). I like the more comfortable chairs, so that's a plus! And they have a huge variety of colors which is great. I have been to this location twice. A clean, nice, and pretty calming environment. First time I went I had a regular pedicure + manicure and it was done very well. Second time around I went for a regular pedicure and no chip French manicure. I was not crazy about how the French turned out style wise and 2 days later the whole gel polish peeled off one finger and it continued to peel off my other fingers after days of just getting them done. I ended up peeling them all off myself. Was not too happy about it, and did not bother to go back and get it fixed or removed being that I was also able to do that on my own. This is my second visit here and I've gotten both a no chip manicure ($35) and a regular pedicure ($30) and I am definitely not disappointed. I'm not quite sure why there are negative reviews of this place? I generally judge a nail shop based on how long my no chip lasts and so far 2 weeks and running! I just got my regular pedicure so I'll update this review based on how long it lasts! First off, they have a great selection of nail polish colors. For the Easter season I decided to go with a light blue for my nails. The technician first started by cleaning my nails, getting them filed and shaped super nice and evenly even though I'm a nail biter :X. It was easy to tell what shape I wanted because they have a chart that shows all the different styles I could get. My hands were nicely massaged and my cuticles all prepped for the polish! After the typical base coat, no chip nail polish, and top coat, I got an additional surprise opi scrub hand massage after! They have 4 different flavors and I went with the "cucumber." My hands felt so nice and smooth afterwards! Typical to any nail salon, always bring cash to pay tip! What I really like about this place is that they have a point card system which is based on the amount of service that you paid for rather than the type of service. I lost my card once but they were very accommodating and got me a replacement. Highly recommend and I am very happy that this location is so close to my work and home! read more

ON my QUEST for the salon that can perform dipped nails that last longer than a couple of days!! Follow along on this journey! I decided to try Botti Lake Bluff for dipped nails! I have been there once or twice for a basic manicure but thought why not give them a try for dipped french. Well....this is not your spot for dipped nails or did I just got unlucky with an unskilled technician? You might consider this salon for the basic manicure or pedicure. For the most part, I have found the staff friendly. I paid $65 (plus additional tip) for dipped french and my nails chipped two days later. I called and went in and they corrected 4 of my nails that had chipped. Today, I am now four days out and three more have either cracked or chipped! In addition, their process is different than what I have had before and the profile on my nails is uneven. They use a nail file to slightly file the top. For any of you that have had dipped nails, you understand the importance of this step so that the nails don't look like lumpy cake batter! This was not successful either! I won't be returning to Botti for dipped nails that is for certain, but will keep searching for a salon that can actually do this correctly so that they last longer than a few days and do not have a lumpy profile!!! read more

First visit here- Super quick "green tea scrub" that was about .5 seconds and not even enough to actually scrub anything. Paint was quick which was nice but not the best. I originally called to make an apt for gel tips but they don't do them so I went with no chip. Afterwards I got 1 tiny dab of lotion and a drop of vitamin e oil. They are very stingy which I don't appreciate but overall an okay visit. Definitely won't consider next time I need a manicure though. read more

Due to its proximity to my workplace, I frequented Botti for convenience-sake. Even after several sub par appointments - both manicure and eyebrow - I gave the salon the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, they have repeatedly burnt my skin while doing my eyebrows and did not manage to properly do the bare minimum cleanup. I have repeatedly brought to their attention my skin irritation, as well as unclean areas, to which they scoffed. One technician went as far as claiming my skin was not red, when it ws more red than a tomato. They work far too quickly and sloppily and apparently take no pride in their work. If you are looking to get your brows done, this is not the place to go. read more

This place always has friendly service and good recommendations. I think if they ever fix their basic manicure it would be a higher rating. It almost always has customers and that a good sign. I only get a no chip pedicure once in a while so I am very particular with the service I am getting. I need the pedicure to last a long time and look good! First, the interior of the place is very aesthetically pleasing, clean, and comfortable. All the chairs are plush and suede (like tufted furniture) and the massage chairs are great! I have been to places where you can barely feel the massage chairs but here you actually feel like you're getting a good massage. And they have classical music playing the background which is soft enough to hear your friend but loud enough so your conversations are not disturbing other people. The display for the color selection is how every nail salon should be. They have it in rainbow order and every shade from light to dark, so it's very easy to find the right shade for you. The service itself was very efficient yet good results - so if you're on a tight schedule, you should come here! read more

I'm don't usually review, but I went to this place for the first time today since it's right near my office and I was super impressed! The place is small but is very clean and nicely decorated. The nail technician I had was super nice did a great job. For a mani/pedi combo, it was $40. That included a scrub and lotion on my arms and legs as well as extra heel scrubbing and a parafin wax application on my heels. PLUS an added bonus shoulder massage at the end of my session. They also have a points club and they give you a punch card thing that maintains your point balance. The points club also gives you a birthday coupon. Apparently they have 3 locations, other 2 in Highland Park and Lake Bluff. Based on the service and atmosphere alone this will be my new go-to nail shop! read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I do get a lot of manicures and the manicure that I just received here is (no joke) the best I have had in my life. Firstly, the decor is beautiful and the layout of pedicure/manicure stations is perfect. I chose to get a no-chip mani and I cannot find a single flaw. My manicurist also used a really nice OPI scrub on my hands followed by vitamin E and lemon oil on my cuticles to help with my winter dryness. Towards the end of my treatment, I also received a back rub! I am so glad that I tried this place out on a whim. They have a rewards point program and I live nearby... so they have definitely won themselves a repeat customer! read more

"Worst Mani/Pedi Award Winner" Let me list a few of the issues: 1. The technician cut me (bleeding) in two spots. 2. She cut my cuticles so close, that they hurt for days afterward, which caused painful tears above my cuticles which have yet to heal. 3. I asked her to make my fingernails the same length, which she did not do and they were also not shaped. 4. She polished right over the skin growing on my nails, rather than pushing it back. 5. I asked for callous remover on my feet, which I was told I didn't need (but I REALLY needed!). She buffed my feet for 30 seconds each. 6. Horrible and uneven polish application. Plus, every single finger and toe has a mark where she had to use her finger to remove the polish from the cuticle. 7. Rush job...I was in and out in 45 minutes, including drying. I have been going here for a while now but the last time I had a pedicure (about 2 weeks ago). The lady cut my toe nails so short and she did a sloppy job, they chipped within a few days. Now they are growing in ingrown which I had previously had a bad experience in another nail salon. I had to get edge of my nail permanently removed because it kept coming in like that.
