I got my engagement nails done today at a completely different nail salon. I was not happy with them at all, so I searched for nail salons in the area in hopes they had availability. I walked into Luxury nails with no appointment. Jason immediately got me seated and told me he would be able to do what I showed in my reference photo. I was already nervous due to not liking my previous nails, but Jason was very reassuring and even pulled out 4 different acrylic powders and tested them on my nails. I travel here all the way from the city every 3 weeks for my organic no chip manicures (and no chip pedicures now that it's sandal season) and it's AMAZING how strong our nails have become from this particular service. Both of my girls had their nails done here. One daughter got the no-chip manicure with design. They didn't bother cleaning/cutting her cuticles or anything. Just shaped her nails and started with the nail polish. The no-chip on hers lasted 3 days before it started chipping. $45. My other daughter had acrylics (or whatever they're called there) with design. They didn't bother cleaning up her nails either before applying. Hers held up better, but some of the fake nails definitely started lifting off at about 6 days. $92 for all of hers. Plus tip...for what? They never lasted as long as they should have. I tried to reach out and no one has gotten back to me. The only reason we went there is because they do designs. We won't be coming back. I felt like the lady was making up prices as she went along and told me the coupon they had online had expired even though it had NO expiration date on it. Definitely not worth your time. read more

Not a happy customer. I went in for a no chip manicure and pedicure. First they made me wait past my appointment time. This is very frustrating when you have other appointments in the day. I was of course late to my next appointment. They did my pedicure first. They were very hard on my feet with the scrubbing tool especially on the arches where its more sensitive. Also, they did barely any massaging of my feet or lower legs. This is the best part. Next I was getting my no chip manicure. I was really excited to have this done for the first time. It seemed to be going well but they had to do a couple nails more than once and I felt the lady was rushing to get to her next client. After my nails were done I left and went to my next appointment. While there I noticed the polish on my thumb was bubbling. This was a large bubble that made it look like there was a growth under the polish and four other fingers became bubbly too. I called and they said to come back in. I went back and they didn't give me a hard time but kept saying I should have picked a different color. The bubbling was because of color. I said no its the polish. The color doesn't make the polish physically change shape. Plus if a color doesn't work like you say, then don't offer it. The aftermath is I won't be going back. They don't keep a good stock of fresh polish. Later that night I found a rough patch on the ball of my foot that WAS NOT there prior to my pedicure and my nails look like they've been growing out for two weeks. The edging is all uneven. Even my husband who doesn't know a thing about manicures said it looked bad. Not worth the money. read more

I find myself wondering if some of the previous comments are meant to be for another salon. I have been coming here for years and know Christine (the owner) and her salon and staff are all wonderful! I moved from Buffalo Grove, IL to Kenosha, WI and still come here for my nails and eyebrows. This place is lovely and within the last year had a wonderful 'facelift'. Christine and Tori have saved me from wedding day (not my wedding) nail breakage and other nail dilemmas. Tori is the best eyebrower waxer I have ever been to. Even my boyfriend can tell when I go to another salon to get my eyebrows done because they just don't look as good. I have been in the salon when there was a bridal party in there and Christine makes it special by having plastic champagne flutes and bubbly for them. Christine and her staff are always friendly and ready to help. Christine even pushes me outside my safe zone with colors/design and every time I just love how it turns out. I have taken friends here and they all love it too. I get complimented on my nails all the time and I happily recommend this place to them. read more

I've give this place two chances and been disappointed twice. Both times I went for a French pedicure. The first time my nails began chipping within just a couple of days. My second visit.. the nail tech finished (the whole pedicure took about 15 minutes, she rushed and skipped steps) and sent me to the drying station without asking me once if I was happy with the way my nails looked. Well they did not look ok, I could bearly see the white tips, it was SO thin. It looked embarrassing. In many years of getting pedicures I've never had the tech NOT ask me if it looked ok before finishing. I asked to have it fixed and another tech fixed it. I usually just get a regular manicure (regular OPI polish) however; they convinced me to try the gel nail polish because it lasts longer (minimum of 2 weeks). I was hesitant because I use my hands a lot but even the lady next to me said she does dishes all day and her gel polish lasts. 30$ and 1 week later ... my nails are chipping. $95 + tip for no chip manicure / pedicure. That's exactly how much I paid for regular dental cleaning on the same day. No, even less. The cleaning was $80. The only reason I went to the "Luxury" Nails and SPA was my dental appointment and the dentist's office is nearby. I came little bit earlier and decided to get my nails done. This nails salon is about as luxurious as Chipotle next door. And I love Chipotle. But if they started charging customers for their product a fine restaurant's price, pretending to be one , people would laugh all the way to Mexico. My point is - Luxury Nails is the most average place to get your nails done, that's why you don't even ask about prices when you walk in, because you assume they are keeping it somewhere in the range of what other places charge you. BIG, EPIC MISTAKE! My technician Amanda worked on my pedicure and manicure that day. Even though, I requested no chip for mani and just regular for pedicure, Amanda made her goal to convince me about endless benefits og no chip for both. "Oh well. What the helll! " I thought. Let's try. ANOTHER MISTAKE! Watch out for constant up selling while you are there. Then I was offered some "fancy" scrub and massage, that at most of the places come with the package anyway. I was on the phone, finishing some work and Amanda had her hand free device in her ear. So most of the time I wasn't even sure she was talking to me. So apparently, the scrub was added to luxurious pedicure later on. Anyway, Amanda was friendly enough and could be more so if she wasn't trying so hard to sell me more services. It was little bit funny, because I really that she was pursuing someone on the phone to get an eyebrow waxing and what not. My nails are not something I'm proud of: short, chipped, thin. So, there really little the technician can do to improve them. I don't expect much . Clean , cut and even color. That's all. Amanda did all that in less than an hour and I thought she was fine professional. Until we went to the register and she pronounced $95 price tag. I thought I misunderstood, but no mistake on their side. And so I paid, left a tip and walked to my car feeling like complete idiot. I went to many nails salons in the area and I never ever paid more than $60. Never. Ladies, the only advice from a looser here - ask for a price list and don't agree on anything extra. Very very disappointed with this place! I have been coming here for many years and today was the absolute worst experience! I used to have Christine do my nails but she is so unprofessional that I switched to someone else. However, I needed my nails done and that tech wasn't available, so I decided to have Christine again. Major Disappointment! First thing she tried to do was up sell me services I didn't need, but then when I inquired why that was necessary, she claimed it was the other tech's fault (who wasn't there that day), but when I agreed to go with her suggestion, her response: "I don't have time to do this " Really? Then, she proceeded to rush thru my nail appointment, was sloppy, and what would normally take my (very good & very thorough) favorite tech around 40 min., she whipped me out in about 20 min. There is fast, and then there is sloppy rush thru it fast. This job was the latter and I was really pissed that not only was Christine trying to pad on extras and nickel & diming for this nail appointment, in the end the overall job was substandard and looked like crap. I was a loyal customer for a long time. Won't be back, and warning others to stay away, especially from Christine and the unprofessional way long time customers get treated. read more

Luxury Nails was the WORST place I've tried in the area. I went for a gel manicure and pedicure on Thursday and by Saturday evening my nails were a mess. The pedicure which was $45 dollars was a joke, and the polish was coming off by the end of the day. The continuous upselling was very annoying, especially since the service and products are poor. I went to Luxury for many years and had no problems but the staff changed. My guy and then the girl I liked both left. I would make an appointment with the owner, get there and be pushed off to a new person. The last time I was there I had the WORST pedicure. I kept telling the girl she was clipping my toe nails incorrectly and sure enough...I have had to visit the podiatrist 4 times. Twice to have the in-growns surgically taken care of. In addition, I had a terrible reaction to some chemical they use in the tub and had to see a dermatologist. Will never go back there again! read more

This place is awesome and affordable. I get a regular polish and mani, parrifin wax for my hands, and hot towel massage chair. Some techs better than others but for the value I can't complain. Massage chairs also are very relaxing. The polish and nail shape was exactly how I like it. The manager always emphasize great customer service to her staff. Every employee will greet you with a smile and can carry on good conversation to include juicy gossip in our personal lives. A lot of fun visiting there. Avoid this place like the plague. They over buff the nails with the machine and go right into the nail plate. All my nails were ruined here and will take months to regrow back now. I had to cut them totally down as they became paper thin with a huge ridge along the cuticle edge of the nail. I went in to explain what they did to me and they basically just pushed me out of there without even apologizing for what they did! All I would have liked to hear is "we are very sorry this happened to you" and I got nothing from them. but to ignore me, so that I would just go way and leave. Very poor customer service. Could have offered to do a manicure on my nails to try and make them look a little bit better but they didn't offer that either. read more

My wife told me a very funny story about this Nail Salon in Wheeling she went to before her beach vacation in Cancun. Apparently, they thought my wife was Chinese and they proceeded to complain in the Vietnamese language to co-workers about 'everything' they think is worth complaining about... LOL.. My wife came home and we shared huge laughter when my wife revealed that she understands the Vietnamese language to the lady doing her nails because she was so embarrassed that she turned three shades of red... These 'older' ladies think that Vietnamese is a 'secret' language... So funny, how they complain about nail color, small nails and when people take too long to decide on a color or style... We laughed so hard because it sounded like a Saturday Night Live skit, but this is in real life. I am trying to find two ladies to go in and speak Spanish smack about the ladies speaking Vietnamese smack and get it all on Youtube to go viral 'vu' fast... LOL.. Then, the 'new' paint on her big toe smudged easily. LOL read more
