I requested a pedicure, a dip manicure and two tips. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Pedicure was terrible and the technician had no idea what she was doing with dip or tips. I ultimately got my nails redone by another salon who was horrified by the appearance of my nails as well as the green lines that developed on two nails due to them not being done correctly. Update! I'm still loyal to Eve Nails after reviewing them last year. Although I'm admittedly not someone who gets manicures or pedicures monthly, when I do want to pamper myself at a reasonable price, Eve nails is where I go for a pick me up that always makes me smile. It's warm and comfortable atmosphere is extremely relaxing and their foot and calf massage is a calming rejuvenator. I recently started a new position in Buffalo Grove and was looking for a new nail salon, since my previous one was in the opposite direction. After having a negative experience at another local salon, I tried Eve Nails and was very happy. I have been there 3 times now and will be there many more. The salon is clean, technicians very professional and results are always excellent. My most recent manicure was for Christmas and anyone who saw my nails complimented me on them. Very clean, a shoulder massage is included (not long) but its better than nothing. My nail technician is very patient and meticulous in her work (her name is Nana). Price is competitive. I just got out of this nail salon right now. One of the worst experiences i've had at a salon. I have a regular salon that I go to but they were booked up today and I have a last minute event to attend so I needed my nails done ASAP. I got a gel manicure with a regular pedicure. I arrive here at Eve Nails and they were friendly. I choose my colors and then they tell me to sit in the chair. As I was sitting one of the ladies working on me was telling me how to sit in the pedicure chair? Like as if there is a right way to sit down? This other lady was tending to my fingernails because I had gel already on. Next, the water for the pedicure was just water, no soap or anything. The man getting a pedicure next to me had soap in his water. Weird. Was it extra to get soap in the water? The lady started on my feet and took forever cutting and filing my toenails. I thought it was a good sign that she was taking her time but I was wrong. She didn't ask about the length or shape. Then when it came to the base coat she missed 2 of my toes and I asked her to paint them over and she said she already did. I did not see or feel her paint them on. She sighed and painted them anyway. The pedicure does not look terrible but the experience was bad and not worth the money I paid. The real horror started when they started on my fingernails. The lady working on my nails asked if I wanted them cut and shaped. I showed her a photo of what I wanted, a soft square shape. She nervously laughed and pointed at another lady next to her for her to do it. I thought ok that's fine. The other lady was busy as more people kept coming into the shop. The lady originally working on my nails went for it and the filing job she did was not bad. In the middle of her working on my second hand, she had switched with another lady. That's a total of 3 different ladies who worked on me. There was at least 5 people waiting to get started. As the wait grew longer the more they rushed my nails. They left my nails bumpy, their polish is dirty, and they did not let my gel cure long enough and was trying to rush me out the chair with them still sticky. I did not come here to leave with unfinished nails. I had to ask them more than 3 times if I could leave them curing longer. The polish application was terrible. They both slapped it on and it got all around on my skin! 3 ladies working on me and they were all in a rush?! Terrible. Why take appointments if you know you do not have the time? The quality of my nails are so terrible I have never been so disappointed. My nails are left bumpy, their polish is dirty leaving dusty bumps in my nails. Highly disappointed in this experience today. The ladies were trying to be friendly which I respected but their job was awful. I paid $65 total including a $5 tip that I left out of generosity. I am very disappointed with the results. Not worth $60 at all. read more

Have been here many times before when in town and NEVER had I been told they have 2 different manicure prices. They don't tell you that -- EVER!!! They charged me $23 for a manicure. But because I chose a polish that wasn't OPI they charged me$7 -- nothing different. When I called to question, the lady was rude and hung up on me. Will NEVER recommend them again or use them again. read more

First time here and I was the only customer. I only got a pedicure. They are very nice, but when I go for a pedicure I want some work put in on these feet. She use a pumice in the bottom of my feet fora like 10 seconds. Then was going to do my toes. I was like your going to do more right? She looked confused. Then she did a little more. I was irritated so I stayed quiet. If you are like me and want your feet scrubbed good then DO NOT go here. This is more of a relaxation place then a pedicure! read more

I have been going here for a while and usually love this place, but today my nail technician was so rough when pushing back the cuticles i was sure she was breaking skin. Then i messed up one of my nails while trying to get my very loose pants to my knees so i could put my feet in the water because she didn't offer to help me with my pants, after i pointed out i ruined my nail, instead of fixing the problem she applied a clear layer of top coat, then when my sister politely asked if she could just put another coat of the purple to cover up the hole i created, she insisted that it was bubbles and wanted only to apply more top coat instead of fixing the nail. I was very excited to get my mani pedi before vacation, but i now have one nail with a giant gap of paint missing and the nails painted blue have a coat on them so thin i can see thru to the nail. read more

I don't get mani/pedis on a regular basis, but when I do, it's at Eve Nails. They are very accommodating, everyone says hello (when any customer walks in), they are patient when I'm choosing a color and concerned about my comfort. My color (regular polish) lasts much longer (my toes are still fully polished with bright color from 4 weeks ago) than most other salons and all the technicians do a thorough job. Also this place is really clean and relaxing. My only complaint is some of the technicians give really killer massages (which I don't do), but are ok when I ask for light massage! read more

Update: I'm sad to say that I won't be returning. This salon has changed hands (no pun intended) several times over the past several years. First it was Esther, then Leah ( I think that's her name), and now there is a new owner. I understand that running a new business can be a challenge as it's a new learning curve. The new owner is running the business while also doing nails. She is distracted and seems stressed. I've been not so pleased recently but kept returning because I feel loyal to this location. Now I don't know any of the staff. They are friendly but the feel is not the same (so maybe that's just me). The prices have gone up and there is no more Mon-Wed $30 mani-pedi special. They got rid of that plus the frequent user card is no longer a free service after so many (I think it was 10 services). Now it's only half off. The final straw was last week when I had to ask the owner who was doing my nails 3 times to "please punch my card" for my service. She kept forgetting so I just said, "forget it" to myself. She never did it. Sadly I'm now looking for a new nail salon. :( read more

I took my daughter here over mother's day weekend and I made an appointment for myself and for my daughter. They took me first for my appointment and the lady kept telling my daughter she was next as all of these customers who didn't have appointments kept walking in and they were taken care of. As she finished my nails, and sent me to the dryers - she started another customer's pedicure and never started my daughters appointment. They skipped over her appointment and said they would be ready for her soon, (probably 30 min) since everyone had just started new customers. Needless to say we left without her nails being done. There service are good but they were so much on back of me for TIP, keep asking me for tip, like 10 times, she asked me for TIP. Even though my service was not ended, when they did my manicure, they were asking do I need to give tip now or later. 1st time I saw how ppl are begging for tip. so whom so ever going there keep the TIP ready otherwise they will run on back. read more
