Purchased a Groupon for a couples scalp massage. Amazing experience! They start by examining your scalp and its condition under a microscope. Based on your needs, they pick the products to use. The table has an automatic massager that squeezes your hands to relax. Advise not to wear rings. After the scalp massage/table massage, they take you back to the microscope to show you the difference after the treatment. The specialists were very kind, will be back for a no chip manicure. they have machines for nail designs as well.

She has done color, highlights and haircuts for me. The highlights are the most natural I have ever had. People are often surprised to know that I get highlights, which is a true compliment to Kim. In addition to all of her technical skills, she is also a kind and fun person to get to know. Make an appointment with Kim - you will not be disappointed.

Ah I wish I had a better update since I left such a glowing review in February. To save time, I'll…read morejust go over the experience I had last Thursday only (9/6/2012). It's easiest if I just paste the email I sent to the stylist / the salon owner. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got to my 1:30p appointment, on time. I feel I got into your chair within an appropriate amount of time but after that things went downhill. I am upset that the bleach was applied to my hair, which gave me the impression you had time to do my color (then finding out you didn't have availability until next week). Also you didn't continue cutting my hair after stopping and doing the bleach. I could understand one small foil as a test to see if the color would even lift but not the multiple foils that have left me with a very large and noticeable portion of white/yellow bleached hair. I've already had strangers make (I'm sure they feel it's funny) comments about me "missing a spot" which has made me feel very self-conscious. I brought up that I was upset about the bleached hair and your only suggestion was to put my hair up. Which I didn't find to be helpful considering I was there to get a hair cut, not to have a better ponytail. After getting washed a second time (at this point it was close to 2:15p after being there since 1:30p) I proceeded to sit in another chair with wet hair until 3:05p to get my original basic cut finished. I was unaware that you did not trim/cut my bangs. I appreciate the blow dry and flat iron however I rarely do that to my own hair, which I expressed, so I'm a bit concerned how my hair will be (once I wash it) with my naturally wavy/curly texture. At almost 3:30p is when the financial situation occurred. I don't blame anyone for that, however I was made to feel uncomfortable when you kept asking me ABOUT my finances in front of other employees/clients, it made me feel like I was on welfare and begging for handouts. At this point, I don't know what to do because I am extremely unhappy with my color, I am not pleased about my bangs, and overall to be there from 1:30p to 4:00p for a basic (not complicated or trendy cut or a hair treatment) hair cut has left me upset overall. Not including the $98 that is still processing to my account, I've spent $787 since February and just expected to be treated a different way. ------------------------------------------------------ Now to flesh out the financial situation story... the hair cut was supposed to be $48, when I went up to pay (I was furious, already complained, decided to basically just not tip and get the hell home...) I was handed the receipt to sign but it showed the total as $98. I asked the assistant what happened, she got very upset and then had the salon owner / stylist come over. She refunded the $98 and then was surprised when I said I wouldn't pay $48 on top of that until the refund was back in my account, which on average takes 5 business days. She didn't believe me. I used an analogy of, "Ever return something to Target? How you don't get the refund instantly? Same. Thing." and it wasn't until 15 minutes later when she talked to someone at her credit card processing company and they confirmed what I told her, did she believe me. She then proceeded to, in a room of her employees and clients, make remarks about my financial life, "How will you be able to feed your children?! Do you need money?! How will you survive?! I know you can't afford this mistake!" and so on. I'm not sure what she thinks my financial situation is as I don't discuss that information in general, much less with a person who is doing my hair, but suffice to say our bills are paid on time and my kids are healthy, happy, and well fed. After FOUR DAYS where I got ignored and having to email AGAIN, she finally responded with the following email... ------------------------------------------------------ Sarah, I understand your concerns, I think that long term you will be happier with another hairstylist. In the meantime, if you would like me to reapply purple to the highlighted strands and re-cut your bangs, I would of course do that at no charge. Also, I will not be charging you for the service from September 6, 2012. ------------------------------------------------------ Now... I don't know what reality this is but NOT cutting bangs at all doesn't equal a "re-cut" and putting pure bleach in my hair and ignoring me for hours isn't the same as "highlights". I emailed back asking her to please address my concerns, to not dismiss me and not patronize me and I haven't heard back. After contacting other salons, the avg price to fix my hair will be $200-300. Considering how much money I've spent at this establishment, I would expect to be treated like a valued customer instead of a burden on the owner. I will certainly not be burdening this salon with my presence or money again.

The less I mess with my hair the better. I'm growing mine long. I did a total mess of a self trim which I had cleaned up. They always make it an easy relaxing visit and I enjoy getting my hair done by Juanita and the team. They've made it all nice and even but taken no overall length :)

Just to start, I know there's often a stigma around going to Hair Cuttery instead of a high-end…read moresalon, but I've never had a bad experience here before. In fact, I've always felt comfortable and well taken care of, until now. I scheduled a haircut with Nancy, who had previously given me one of my all-time favorite cuts. Because of that, I felt confident and trusted her completely. I only get my hair cut about once a year, so this was something I was really looking forward to. From the start, something felt off. The wash was unusually rushed, but I brushed it off. Maybe she just needed to get my hair damp? I showed her photos of what I was looking for: shaggy layers and a bang cleanup. I made it clear I wasn't expecting an exact replica, I understand those photos are often styled, but I was hoping for something inspired by them. She looked at the photos for maybe 30 seconds, asked one or two quick questions about length, said "okay," and began cutting. No deeper conversation, no confirmation of the look. It felt cold and fast, like she was upset or checked out. I told myself, "She's been doing this for years. She knows what she's doing." I should've spoken up right then and walked away with just the wash. The entire cut took maybe 10 minutes. I looked at it briefly and, trying to be polite, said, "Oh, I like it," even though I could already feel something was wrong. I paid, tipped 30%, and even asked if I could pre-book a trim in a few months. She said "sure," but didn't follow through or engage. At that point, I already knew I wouldn't be returning. When I got home and let my hair fully dry... I cried. What I ended up with what looked like a bowl cut. The bangs were thick and helmet-like, pulled from the apex of my head. The "face-framing" went almost ear to ear, with none of the shape or texture I'd shown in the photos. I might as well put a bowl on my head and cut it myself at home. There was no easy fix--maybe thinning it would help, but the damage was done. I called back to ask if someone else could help correct it, and the person who answered the phone sounded frazzled. I could hear Nancy in the background, sounding irritated. I asked if I could come in on another day, when Nancy wasn't there, to have a different stylist help soften the cut... because at that point, I didn't feel safe having Nancy near my hair again. I was told only she could fix it. I felt defeated, thanked them, and hung up. Maybe it sounds small to some people, but this truly broke me. It was my birthday. I was celebrating it alone. I'm grieving the loss of my Mom. Obviously, Nancy couldn't have known that. But when you work in a profession that asks people to be vulnerable, like sitting in a chair and letting someone shape how they present themselves, basic kindness and presence should be part of the service. I didn't feel either. So thank you for the haircut. I'm still glad I tipped 30%, because I genuinely believe your industry deserves better pay. But please, be kinder to the people who sit in your chair. You don't know what they're carrying. And if you don't have the energy for a client, or you're not confident in the type of cut they're asking for, say so. Be honest. Offer alternatives. Don't rush them, dismiss them, or make them feel like an inconvenience. I won't be returning. And I won't be recommending this location to anyone again. I sincerely hope Nancy, and this salon, has a better day than the one you gave me. TL;DR: I came in trusting a stylist I'd seen before, asked for shaggy layers and a light bang trim, and left with a rushed 10-minute bowl cut that made me cry on my birthday. I called to ask for help and was told only the same stylist, who seemed upset and dismissive, could fix it. No kindness, no support, just damage I now have to grow out. I won't be returning.

Let's start from the beginning, I attempted to make convo, she gave me one word answers. Then she left me at the shampoo bowl without bothering to tell me that she had applied the conditioning treatment. This was my first time booking this treatment so I wasn't sure what the process was like, nor did she explain it to me. I also was itching after conditioning treatment but Erini ran to the break room so I was left staring at the ceiling wondering what was going on. She did not ask me if the water was too hot while shampooing either. The haircut itself took 5 mins. She then took out a dirty round brush from her drawer & proceeded with blow dry. My haircut looked nothing like the 4 photos I showed her. I told her I was expecting more layers and Erini gave me excuse that it was due to the length of my hair... prior to the cut, I told her she could go shorter if it made sense to blend all the layers. Kuddos to the stylist next to me telling her client about a sale going on! Other stylists were so nice to their clients and Erini lacked any interest in her service with me. I told the girl at the checkout as well that I wasn't happy with my service. Neither offered any way to fix the situation. I had a list of items I wanted to buy and they lost my business completely. For the price of their services, Erini can take notes from other stylists around her. **UPDATE** My haircut was so lopsided, I made an appointment days later to see another stylist. Tula noticed that my hair was one inch longer on the right side & took her time to blend all my layers. She did wonderful blending & was so kind. Unfortunately, this was a dry cut with no shampoo done prior or after service, so once I washed and air dried my hair at home, I was pretty sad about how it looked. Again not Tula's fault, she was amazing!! I personally do not recommend Mario Tricoci for hair unless it's a senior stylist. I worked at this location 10 years ago. They were the luxury salon in the area, they lack luxury in so many ways now.
