I had make an appointment for two pedicures and one gel manicure for my friend. I was told that the appointment would be at 1030. When the day came, my friend and I were running five minutes late so we called to let them know out of respect and if they couldn't take us, understand as well. Well when I called, I spoke to someone who said that our appointment was at 10 and not 1030. They also said they were with their 1030 appt now. I was shocked, I said that that was not my understanding and if we were already 30 mins late to an appointment which should have started at 10, a call would have been nice too. The lady on the other said nothing: no sorry, no "there must have a miscommunication"....nothing. The only thing she did suggest is that I can find another salon. So, with that being said, I told her to cancel the appointment, informed her that my friend and I would not come back to their establishment and rebooked with another nail salon in the area who took us in promptly, did a phenomenal job on our pedicures and my friends manicure and lastly, communicated efficiently and effectively. And while I get it, services like this have their bad days but it doesn't mean that their customer service should lack in the essence of treating their customer like decent human beings. I would say that maybe I could try this place again but nah, I don't think so. Next please.

I was easily able to make a same day appointment. When I arrived, no one was there and the shop was locked! I waited a few more minutes & called the shop and they said someone would be there soon. I'm guessing this place only has someone there if they have a scheduled appointment - however it definitely frustrated me that my nail tech was late. Once inside, I was impressed with the color selection and how nice and clean the salon was. The tech did a great job on my gel manicure and my pedicure. However, since I was the only one there she rushed me to leave and didn't check if my toes were dried- so by the time I got home all of the polish was smeared. I tried calling to schedule a time to get it fixed however never received a call back on the voicemail I left.

But I felt that for the amount that was paid (170.00) the service was lazy and services are offered for profit and not for skill. The nail tech said that completely removing the builder gel with prior gel color would be a new set lol. He left me with ombré nail beds let me know a lot. He treated my gel overlay like acrylic smh. Also, the cuticles were not attended to or the natural nail bed. Then the nail tech wanted to argue with me about color. Im telling someone 6 times what I want - knowing that many artists have and can complete the task- is insane. Also expressing that I wanted alternating colors and an artist telling me I can only pick two is also insane. I've been trying to save time by staying in the suburbs for self care but it looks like we're going to have to go to the city. The design was pretty. But the service and nail care was sub par. I also had to get clear on the price which was another task in itself And there are too many salons that offer exactly what you're looking for , with great service and don't skip parts or nail care to rush you out of your service in an hour or 90 minutes. So I'll just go to Butterfly Nails or indie nail techs at this point.

This salon is 5 mins from my house and I decided to check it out based on reviews. The shop is clean and well maintained with a good selection of regular and no chip colors. No chip has been my preference for a long time so that is what I went with. The work is awesome, the second time I went to them, I threw out a design I wanted (learning some places really don't do designs for no chip) and they really put a lot of heart into it! I walked away a happy client. My first no chip was $45 and the second $50; a little pricey but again, the work was awesome in my opinion.
